    Wings and fries $15.00
    Lynnsie S.

Ziffles is really cute inside and the drink prices are good. The service is always good and efficient. The prices are a bit high though. We paid $85 dollars for 2 kid meals, wings, pulled pork sandwich, and an appetizer.

Half the rib tip order with half the fries already gobbled down!

Finally! I have been so disappointed with the quality of barbecue in the Fort Wayne area ever since I moved here. Today's experience was outstanding! Rib tips were the best in town: tender, juicy, falling off the bone, with a very tasty sauce. Tons of homemade french fries piping hot, which is almost unheard of in this area, coupled with very friendly service and a great local establishment type vibe. We will definitely be back, even though we have to pass 2/3 rate rib places on East State to get there. It is worth the drive.

    Hog Trough!

I recently tried Ziffle's for the very first time and I can assure you that it won't be my last time! My partner suggested that we split the Hog Trough, which includes cheese fries on the bottom and BBQ on top with a very tasty sauce. Though I wasn't very hungry, I found myself really enjoying the BBQ. It had a good texture and reminded me of BBQ back home in North Carolina. If you know anything about NC, we're very proud of our BBQ, so this is truly a compliment for Ziffle's! I also enjoyed the cheesy garlic bread. I'm not always a fan of melted cheese, but the bread hit the spot for me. The service was good, with our server offering to bring a side of hot BBQ sauce when I revealed that I could only handle the mild sauce. She possibly saved my partner from being very disappointed! The restaurant has the feel of a cozy place where you can get your favorite comfort food in Fort Wayne. Overall, I was impressed and will return!

Fat!!! Which was on top of our pizza!!

We ordered a carry out BBQ Pork pizza. There was hardly any BBQ sauce or pork. But, there were 3 big pieces of FAT on the pizza which produced a lot of grease under the dough!!! UGH!!

This was My first time ever buy from them and will be my last the rib was Ok but the fries were darker he the meat the macaroni and cheese was salty and the coleslaw tasted like mayo and nothing else I so dissatisfied with the over all service not to say I spent 55 dollar on my meal

We walked into Ziffle's and was greeted very professionally by the hostess who promptly seated us in the dining room. It was a pretty busy Friday night but I found out pretty quickly how they were turning tables so quickly. The hostesses were also the 'bussers' and were always walking around taking plates as customers finished up. Sure hope they get a share of the tips because they were what keeps Ziffle's running smoothly! I never had that kind of helping cleaning my tables as a server! Now.. Onto the food. I ordered a half rack of ribs and they were perfect! Not fall off the bone (those are overcooked) but pulled off nicely with my teeth and form. The side of fries are also delicious! I believe they were hand-cut so make sure you save room for them! My wife got the Cod basket and our other young man with us got sausage pizza. They both weren't overly impressed with theirs as the pizza was pretty overcooked but I reminded them that we were at a Rib place, not a fish or pizza place. With that being said, they could definitely use some help with the pizza. I love the ambiance of this place as it reminds me of a small-town bar more prevalent back in the day. Glad this place is around. This used to be my grandparents fav here in Ft Wayne. Give this place a try if you haven't! I gave this place 5 stars based off the superior service by the server and hostesses as well as my ribs. Definitely need some work on the other two dishes but A+ on what Ziffle's Rib Bar is known for... Ribs!

Decent BBQ joint on North end of town…read more.. Dropped by Lucille's for the first time on Friday for a work lunch with the crew... Been meaning/wanting to try for a while, but have never got around to it. Ok experience, but there's some areas of attention needed. Pros: Friendly/quick service, outstanding brisket, excellent bbq sauces (I particularly liked the vinegar and spicy sauces), and large portions. Cons: Over-priced, average at best sides, extremely smoky in dining room, and dirty/run down restaurant. Overall our experience was good, but the smoke in the dining room was a real problem that actually had my eyes burning/watering while we were eating (it literally looked like an AARP Club Catholic Church bingo event, it was that smoky inside the restaurant), the food is stupid expensive ($35 lunch, one person), and the sides just weren't good (bland coleslaw and broccoli salad). The restaurant also needs a facelift and desperate deep clean... It had that dirty, grimy, sticky feel on the floors and tables (presumably from all the smoke in the dining room). I still consider Shigs n' Pit to be the far and wide the best BBQ in town, but Lucille's has the potential to be really good if they can make some adjustments, improvements, and clean the place up.

Shigs in Pit (Maplecrest) - excellent choice for BBQ in Fort Wayne…read more Shigs is located north of St. Joe Center road on Maplecrest. It's parking lot is easy in-easy out and has a very large facility. Upon entering you order at the counter from a large menu posted on the wall. They will bring you your selections to the table or carry out counter. The Mad Anthony brewery has an attractive looking bar inside as well. The team here was very friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean, orderly and attractive. The menu is fairly large but perhaps difficult to understand since it is posted on the wall. Cost is fair and moderate. Here is a recap of our food choices: -Wings: predominant smokey flavor, fried and dipped in one of 8 sauces. The wing was nicely cooked - no pink insides. The skin of the wing was a bit cripsier than i would prefer. The Alabama White sauce is mayo based, slightly sweet with not much seasoning or spice. It made the wings nicely moist. The teriyaki sauce is bold, thicker and has a slight back end kick to them. -Cole Slaw: nice fresh and crisp larger slaw pieces, thin mayo base, sligtly sweet but a bit watery -Macaroni salad: thin mayo base that actually came off also a little watery, elbow noodles were cooked perfectly, side veggies had a nice crunch to them, sauce was mildly sweet -Chicken tenders: moist and tender, no real Smokey taste detected, seemed to come off a little dry and tough -Corn "spoon" bread: mild corn taste, bread was moist and sweet, nice blend of corn bread and corn casserole -Tomato & Cucumber salad: very fresh and tasty. Cool veggie and vinegar tastes

Mission BBQ (Coliseum Blvd) - another solid BBQ choice in Fort Wayne…read more Mission BBQ is one of the franchise BBQ choices in Fort Wayne in addition to several outstanding local places. Mission can be found on west Coliseum Blvd just west of Olive Garden. It's a little tricky to find drive to get into the large parking lot. There is lots of parking as this large store which accommodates many customers. Seating for large parties together may be difficult here. As you enter you make it to the cash register where you place and pick up your order. The menu is posted on a large board above the front counter. Mission has a large selection (see picture) of different meats and sides. Most items are ala carte unless you get a combo meal. I would suggest that their prices are comparable to those at other local BBQ places. Every entree comes with freshly baked corn bread. The decent size piece is moist and has a slightly sweet flavor. The luke warm bread is more cake like than a traditional corn meal taste. A pat of pre-packaged butter is also provided. This makes a nice complement to the coming meat. Mission provides six different BBQ sauces at the table (see pictures). They also provide vinegar and a more mustard based sauce. I tried three of these sauces. All had a nice flavor for you to consider. Here is a brief description of the different food items we had: -Smoked Chicken: very moist and tender, so tender that the meat literally fell off the bones; skin was nicely coated with a mild BBQ rub - only a slight amount of salt & spicy aftertaste; nice mild Smokey flavoring -Smoked Turkey: also very moist and tender; slight Smokey flavors -French Fries: nice thinly cut fry; coated with a heavy-salty BBQ rub; nicely crispy without being oily; definite bold BBQ rub flavoring -Baked Beans: much like you would expect, moderate sized bean bathed in a smooth BBQ sauce; BBQ sauce is slightly sweet with a mild BBQ taste - no after spice kick; small pieces of brisket added for extra enjoyment; very good side! -Cole Slaw: lite mayo base; two different cabbages plus carrot pieces; sesame seeds added to give it a nice mild-mayo taste Overall...Mission does a nice job of providing freshly made BBQ. The team was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and spacious. This is a challenge for a self seating area that has lots of customers. Here, you felt like you could relax, take your time and pace yourself.

The last time we did...ACME had partnered with Legalize Marinara to make pizzas for them. The menu looks like LM's recipes (see picture of menu). The pizza had a familiar taste. Though, the pizza I had was a bit different. Before I get to the pizza...let me say that Joslin did an incredible job serving us. She had great suggestions. She hustled the refills. She was personable and funny. Great representative for ACME!! Also...I had to try the smoked Cole slaw - it intrigued me! The fresh cabbage pieces were large and purple. They tended to be a bit tougher. The mayo sauce had a nice seasoning - possible dry rub. This created some kick and saltiness. The smoke flavor was evident but not overwhelming. Nice dish! We ordered a 16" ACME Deluxe thin crust pizza cut into large square pieces. I didn't know that you could get a thin crust and square pieces - so we tried it. Last time we got a hand tossed - different taste. The pizza crust was fairly thin and a bit crisp - but not crunchy. While the picture might suggest that it was slightly over cooked...it was actually okay. The crust was a fairly plain flour crust - no extra taste. The pizza sauce is really tasty. I liked the thicker consistency and bolder tomato flavor. No spicy after taste. Good Italian seasoning. The sauce did a nice job accenting the toppings. There were plenty of fresh toppings covered with a thinner bed of mozzarella. The meat taste wasn't very prevalent - maybe could have used more meat. Everything seemed to blend well. You do pick up a heavier salt taste. Cold Pizza Test - ACME's pizza was pretty good the next day. The crispier crust stayed crispy without being tough/chewy. The pizza sauce stepped forward - the tomato taste really started to come out. The toppings still blended well. The salty taste seemed to get stronger.

So I was craving it again tonight, 02/19/2025 and wanted to try something different. Tried the Bahn Mi pulled pork sandwich. Extremely disappointed, flavors were top notch, but for $17 I would expect a little pulled pork. There were maybe 3 pieces of pork, had there been some to taste, I feel like this sandwich would be killer. My husband tried the Muffaletta, it would have been great had there been olive salad on it. The three bites that had olive salad were amazing. Seriously for the price, fix this! I would have paid double for some meat on there. I still would recommend everyday but make it as good as it sounds. Disappointed, would still go back

There is no seating. Again, it's a teenie carryout with a drive-up window (not an actual drive-thru). I met the proprietor and his grandson. Both gentlemen were kind and friendly. I explained that I lived in another state and inquired about the menu. I learned that only a limited menu was available, and was offered to try both the turkey tips and the pork rib tips. They were good, but neither were smoked. I like smoked meats on the grill, and these seemed to be marinated in Italian dressing and baked. The meat didn't have a char taste. I decided on the pork with greens and potato salad. Again these items weren't as I am familiar with, as they didn't taste homemade with a depth of flavor. The meal was served with white bread. I would recommend folks giving Mr. Dunbar's cooking a try.
