    Moules-frites
    Brian P.

The burrata and a prosciutto dish, though tasty, could've been more flavorful. The baguette was very nicely toasted. Potato gratin presentation looked sloppy, but the cheesey gooey goodness won me over. Short rib was a little tough in parts. The husband's moules frites were impressive. The size was of the shellfish was quite noticeable. Service was largely absent. Thoughtfully curated wine list.

Thought this was a solid lunch spot. Went with my cousins to catch up over some French food. Food was good, not spectacular. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would come back to enjoy the patio area again. It wasn't too busy during lunchtime when we went and I enjoyed the outdoor experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is a bit rough to find though, as expected. Steak and frites, 8.3/10: Classic dish. The sirloin (I think) was very tender and was cooked appropriately medium-midrare. You can see in the photo it's got a nice sear and it was seasoned nicely. I particularly liked the herbacious chimichurri sauce paired with the steak. Fries were mcdonald's-esque in a good way, but slightly less greasy and more fresh. Gotta go fries in the ketchup and the mayo. Mayo and fries is underrated.

We had lunch today after watching parade. We started with fresh brewed coffee and mimosas, which were a great way to begin the meal. We both ordered the Steak Frites cooked medium rare, and they were excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The fries were crispy and delicious, especially when paired with the chimichurri sauce, which added the perfect amount of freshness and flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We chose to sit outside with our dog and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and provided great service throughout the meal. The only downside was an interaction with the hostess. It was a warm day, and I briefly had my dog sitting on my lap while trying to help him cool down. She came to our table and rather abruptly told me to put my dog back on the floor. While I understand restaurant policies must be followed, the situation could have been handled in a much friendlier and more professional manner without being rude and giving an attitude. That said, the food was excellent, the patio was enjoyable, and our waiter helped make the experience a positive one. We'd definitely come back for the Steak Frites alone!

Seriously SO GOOD! Everything is so well made. I always feel full, yet light after eating here. I shared three things with my mom and we loved it! We had the leek quiche, overnight oats, and smoked salmon toast, all fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice decor and vibes around the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also like that you order and pay up front, makes things easy!

This is based off a door dash order. Typically, delivery lessens the overall temp, flavor, etc by the time it reaches your door. But everything i had was fantastic. I ordered 1) steak frites, 2) japanese sweet potato, 3) proscuitto burratta. The steak temp obviously is impacted by delivery. Yet still tender n the fries were good. Probably wouldnt order delivery of this again though. Its a thing you should only eat at the restaurant. Now on to the goodies. The japanese sweet potatoes on a bed of sour cream olive oil and some tyoe of nuts (maybe pine nuts?). Super super good. The proscuitto n burratta is something i order from everywhere, but their proscuitto had really good umami and the cheese was super soft and good. It must be imported. Awesome. Im ordering again when in the mood for tasty food to have with some wine at home.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Exquisite cozy, romantic, wine bar vibe, beautifully-appointed, and a first-class menu offering salmon, salads, sandwiches, curry, pasta, chicken, veggies, tapas - all for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner til late.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Huge selection of wines, beers, bubbles and cocktails, as well as coffees, teas, and juices. Very popular, especially at weekend. Reservations strongly advised.

Beautiful spot! As many times as I've driven by, I've always missed coming here until September 2025 meeting a friend for lunch! Parking as you can imagine, is tricky so park for free from 7-7pm on San Vicente. It's the first business around the corner. Beautiful patio, gorgeous ambiance and our waiter was the sweetest: we never felt rushed or anything. Just so easy going as my friend and I caught up for two hours! I had the Baklava latte which was ok. Maybe I expected more flavor, but I tasted like...a latte, ha! It's ok, I love them. I know plate portions could be small and this was my first meal of the day so I needed something sustainable and the Quinoa Burrito with bacon hit the spot. There was even a certain sweetness to it that I am obsessed with! Definitely worth coming back for. I'd definitely brave the parking to come back. It's great to meet friends, one friend or have a date here. I'd even come here for a business meal. Great vibe, keep it up!

This restaurant caught my eye with the pretty neon sign and cute outdoor seating. The dining area is cozy and our server was amazing at explaining the dishes and drinks, and was super friendly. Their cocktails all use a stronger wine as the base, which I thought was so unique and they all tasted great! The food was also amazing, the burrata was a standout to me, along with the shrimp and the pork taco. Would definitely come back!

This place was the haven I was searching for this Memorial Day weekend. I came here yesterday with my husband on a whim and it had the perfect amount of buzz of people swirling around to create a synergetic vibe but not too overcrowded where you'd have to wait 45 minutes for a table. We hit seated right away and got our food fairly quickly. My quinoa salad dish with added salmon was clean, healthy, and so delicious. We also got their caprese, prosciutto sandwich with frites which was delicious too. I love anyplace where I don't have to wait to eat.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and after ordering with the cashier, took a number and seated ourselves right away in comfy chairs in the sun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We enjoyed the breakfast bowl with salmon and the breakfast burrito. Both took a long time to come out but were worth the wait. The lavender latte is absolutely delicious and worth a visit. We will definitely be back.

    Smoked Salmon Tartine
    Kathy X.

Came here for brunch this past weekend, and they were packed. I ordered the smoked salmon tartine, it wasn't anything special, but it was still solid. The service was fantastic though, and the vibes are really nice too! I told our server that we had an appointment we had to run to, and he made sure to tell the chef to get our food out really fast. It was really busy, since it was Mother's Day weekend, so we really really appreciated it.

    Liz L.

It's always handy to have a couple of categories of venues that you can depend on for, let's say, some sort of French food, early morning coffee and late night drinks, a good breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and decent parking availability. Now, if it has a delightful outdoor patio, that's a real plus. Zinqué is all these things, especially the one on Melrose. In this instance we wanted a quick latte and croissant (chocolate, the only one left on a late afternoon), just to tide us over before dinner. Another time we will come here for brunch. (The name puzzles me a bit. I get the Parisian zinc tables allusion, but the translation here is literally "zink-ed", or "zinc-plated". Awkward. I might instead call it Zinque, if I were the owners. Just saying.) So, in sum, Zinqué is a bar/restaurant that also serves coffee and baked goods. Our server's name was Carol, who greeted us as soon as we walked in and provided excellent attention, our order taken and filled quickly. The latte came with whole milk and was good, and the croissant was good as well. All in all, this is a reliable, pleasant, affordable spot in the midst of a rather pricey neighborhood. We will likely go back this summer.

A couple months ago, I think they were remodeling. Does anyone know if they're done? I tried calling, but it goes straight to vmail, Yelp says they're open. I drove by, sidewalk patio is gone and gate entrance looks closed.

Hi Kristy. We have reopened our WeHo location as of Saturday, August 11.

How are they operating during COVID?

They seem to be following all the rules. Waitstaff is equipped with shields and masks. Tables are all outdoors and are 6 ft apart. Tables are disinfected between guests. I felt safe the 2 times we dined there

    When is Happy hour?

Happy hour is 4pm-6:30pm, Monday through Friday!

Do they have valet during the day?

    Nope

Is this a good place to work?

Yes if you like having some background noise. I've seen people work at the bar or at tables outside. If you want complete silence, it will not be good, but if you don't mind people speaking around you it's nice.

    How are the portion sizes?

Average .. enough to make you full .

I ordered an Angry Orchard Cider and my friend ordered one of their Espress-OR Martinis. It looked great but it was strong! If you are an espresso martini fan who likes this style of drink, you will probably enjoy it. There are metered spaces behind the bar and there is also residential street parking nearby if you pay attention to the posted signs. Overall, this was a fun find and I can definitely see why it has become a neighborhood favorite. I would come back to try more of the cocktails and experience another Trivia Night.

My husband has type 1 diabetes so we very rarely eat at Italian ristorantes. Chef Tara has helped us rediscover a new world of flavor without negative impacts on my husband's blood sugar and cholesterol. (Thanks for the variety of non-dairy cheeses!!) Tip for first-timers: go when you can have the brunch or the lunch menu. Then you'll have so many options that you'll have to return! Round 1 Polpettine (meatballs) are made from lentils and texture similar to the real ones; lovely marinara sauce and ground macadamia nut instead of parmesan. Complement this with the citrus notes that highlight the sauteed swiss chard with earthy Italian butter / gigante beans. Round 2 The same beans are in the Greek goddess salad: rich with tomatoes, kalamata olives, and fresh red onions. This was a visually stunning and paired well with the Sicilian almond 'tuna' melt. The tuna is by far the most imaginative. Again, Chef Tara and the back of the house nailed the texture and I loved the hints of crunchy celery. The capers injected tiny bursts of salt and tartness. The only moderation I'd consider is slightly crisping / toasting the sandwich bread -- but the tuna melt sando is great as it is.
