After a few meager attempts to get into an exercise routine, it became clear I would need to pay someone to kick my proverbial butt on a regular basis. I was excited to find a gym with such consistently great reviews nearby, and WESTCA absolutely lives up to the hype. I have a decent amount of experience with lifting and resistance training, but I also have some physical limitations, so the semi-private training format has been perfect for me. It provides the structure and accountability I was looking for while still meeting me where I am in terms of experience, fitness level, and physical capability. I've been training with Ivan, who consistently brings good vibes. His instructions are clear, he's quick to adapt exercises around physical limitations when needed, and he progresses training safely and thoughtfully with encouragement along the way. Progress has been steady, and I love feeling stronger and more energetic. As many other reviewers have mentioned, WESTCA is a smaller gym with a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere. What makes Adam such a great trainer is how flexible and dedicated he is. I travel a lot and work a demanding software engineering job, but he's always willing to adjust schedules and make things work. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and loves what he does. Even on days we don't train, he still checks in, gives me pointers, and helps me stay on track. He also does a great job tailoring workouts to your specific needs and constantly adds different exercise variations to keep things effective, challenging, and fun. Every workout feels personalized instead of repetitive. The gym itself is amazing too -- it has every piece of equipment you could possibly need, plus all the little extras that make training better. Everything is always incredibly clean and spotless, which makes the environment even more motivating to be in. On top of all that, Adam keeps workouts fun and motivating. We always have great conversations, and over time he's become more than just a trainer, he's become a friend too. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to level up their fitness.

She does a great job making sure we're working different muscle groups, and we often switch up the equipment depending on the workout. If something feels too easy or too hard, she adjusts it right away so the training fits where I'm at. Ling also pays close attention to form and the small details. She'll correct my posture or movements to make sure I'm doing the exercises properly and getting the most out of them. I found Send Me A Pro - San Jose West…read morein 2021 when I had been struggling with chronic lower-back pain for three years from working long hours at the computer. With three kids and my own business, my schedule is nonstop, and I finally realized I needed a personal trainer to keep me accountable and help me prioritize my health. I'll admit I was feeling uneasy at first since I don't usually like having strangers in my home (even backyard). I also expected most trainers might be overly intense for my personality. What I really needed was calmness, flexibility, and understanding. I shared my concerns with Zane, and he matched me with TROY. Four years later, I am still training with Troy!! Troy is incredibly patient and thoughtful. He customizes every workout to my abilities and limitations. I went from back pain that could keep me in bed for weeks at a time to now having no major flare-ups for years. The pain is still there occasionally due to the disc bulging, but it's minimal and my quads are now strong enough that I can squat and lift properly. I could only do twice sessions a week - went from simple "good mornings" to heavier lifting, I definitely felt good within a few short weeks. On top of that, Troy has always worked around my "impossible" schedule. I've literally run into sessions straight from Zoom calls and then dashed out afterward to pick up kids. I often start our workouts stressed from work, and his calm demeanor and encouragement leave me feeling not only stronger, but mentally lighter. It feels like fitness and therapy combined Earlier this year I also fractured my knee. When it was only about 70% healed and still stiff, Troy built completely different programs that protected my knee while still helping me progress. He writes a new plan for me every single session!! In four years we have almost never repeated the same workout, so it's never boring. I'm now 47 and feel stronger than I did at 40. I started boxing with him also! I am truly grateful for both Zane and Troy, their professionalism, kindness, and genuine passion for helping people are very clear.
