This place really gets it right when it comes to atmosphere and service. I came for breakfast, and everything was thoughtfully done. The toast came with a little jar of marmalade and rich French butter--small touches that made a big impression. The coffee was excellent: strong, smooth, and served in a personal carafe that held several cups, so I didn't have to flag anyone down for refills. I barely needed milk, which says a lot. The pork sausage was packed with flavor, and the fingerling potatoes were crisp and well-seasoned. The price--around $40--was definitely on the higher side for breakfast, but considering the quality and the upscale Vegas setting, it felt fair. read more

We were given 2 square pieces of focaccia bread (each piece was slice led into smaller pieces) with oil and vinegar. I ordered the 20 layer lasagna - texture was good, a little bland and the slice I got barely had any bolognese in it. My boyfriend ordered the Pappardelle with short rib ragu. It had very good flavor - I thought it was perfect (not bland and not too much). Shredded/pulled short rib pieces with mushroom. Pasta was cooked al dente. We ordered the cheesecake with poached pears. It was really very delicious ! Our server was Josh provided great service. He was nice, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. My steak was cooked just how I asked it to be prepare, we were given delicious focaccia bread at the prior to our meal, and the Rigatoni Bolognese was some of the best I've ever had. This restaurant makes each dish in a very unique way that welcomes a wide range of flavors that's wonderful to explore. The restaurant ambiance makes for a great setting for a date, a night out with family, or just a get together with friends. As for the food. We ordered a bunch and wasn't impressed. Best part was the broccolini. Was so good and ordered another one and it was wildly inconsistent tasting from the first one. I think they forgot to put the sauce on. Cowboy ribeye was alright. Lot of tendons on it which made it so tough to eat. And there was a glaze on it that took me by surprise. It was a sweet steak. Bronzino was good. Calamari was good. Desserts I would recommend olive cake and the tiramisu was great. Otherwise everything else was meh. Located just past the lobby either on the right continuing past the hotel's stylish lounge bar or on the left past the elevators through an open short hallway with tall glass outlooking a very relaxing patio, where you'll arrive at Zio's host reception counter. We were seated immediately and led to our table in the center of the dining area. Note... If you're not staying at the hotel, they do offer free valet for the restaurant. I will attempt to summarize as I do have a few details to get into later for those wish to continue reading. Again, I will attempt to summarize. Yes I'm going to say it... the "ambience" was reminiscent of luxury in a classic movie. Absolutely, wonderful. You could show up in your pajamas, although I wouldn't advise it as we all have different tastes in night wear, and you will still feel as though you arrived in style and utmost class. I attribute this to the phenomenal upscale service, style and comfort of the setting and overall vibe. We chose a few items to challenge a variety of flavors such as... Main dishes Banzino "with skin on" was absolutely delicious. Best I've ever had and this even compared to a 5 start Spanish restaurant we'd previous dined at. A very well flavored white fish with a lightly crisped and flaky thin skin. Pappadelle with Short Rib Ragù... Tender, very very savory but not overpowering. Just right and with the perfect balance of barolo ragu (tomato based wine sauce) all in a very well created pasta dish. Desserts, uh we had them all Zio's Tiramisu... My love for coffee in a dessert and this was the best tiramisu I've ever had. New York Cheesecake... with Chianti Poached Pears? What a terrific compliment to cheesecake. Just when you think you've enjoyed many new variations. This was one of the most creative in flavor. What a combination. Chocolate Budino... Imagine the best chocolate flavor you've ever had in a smoothest and most decadent mousse texture. No other mousse, panna cotta, custard or pudding can compare. Vanilla Bean Gelato... You think you've had the best, well think again and with such a great addition of amareno cherries and raspberries. The staff is a great team who you can tell loves what they do and are utmost professionals and creatives. Xavier and Stephanie were the best, engaging and with humility but great charisma to share some very interesting details of the restaurant and the grand opening. Krisztian and Kong were consistent, keen, tentative and on point every step of the way. The hotel is slightly off of the strip but what a great find. Tried this place our last night in Vegas and I've gotta say, we must have saved the best for last. Everything about this place was great. Service was wonderful. I wish I remembered our server's name. Apparently, he had worked there just about 20 years. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Food was amazing. The Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. My friend and I split both the lasagna and the bolognese and couldn't decide which one we liked more. We took the tiramisu back to the hotel and finished it the minute we got back. I don't think I've given a one star review, but your line cooks need to get their acts together on the calamari. I came to Zio's based on a you tube video by a Vegas vlogger (Let's Eat Vegas). On the video the calamari looked excellent. The fry also looked correct on the video. Unfortunately, the actual dish of calamari I received was the worse calamari I have ever tasted, and I've tasted some bad calamari. The line cook would have done better to cut up some pieces of leather and fry them. They would have been more tender. Btw, the sauce that was served with it was super bland. I only ate a few pieces. My suggestion to anyone who orders calamari here, make sure to tell your server to have the line cook keep a close watch on the fry. Calamari only takes a few seconds. The other option, just don't order it. When calamari is done that badly, it's just very hit and miss. If you want some decent calamari, head down to Palette Tea Lounge in Chinatown. read more

Our server Joshua was patient, detailed and organized throughout our whole dining experience. I appreciate his time, kindness and true service that is rare to find in today's dinning. We ordered a ribeye steak and shrimp scampi pasta. It's hard not to love a good ribeye, ordered medium with a side of sautéed spinach. Pricing was below prices around the strip area, but fair for anything outside the strip for a restaurant of this magnitude and the quality was great. We also ordered tiramisu for dessert but we chowed it down before we could get a picture. I would highly recommend. Further recommendations to the restaurant is to considered incorporating some form of live music to elevate the updated ambiance of the restaurant. It could really bring the place more alive. Extremely kind and accommodating. He validated our parking, gave our table a small free cocktail, lit a candle in our desert (birthday celebration), and also gave us 20% off of our bill.
