I've been on this planet for many years, and I've eaten literally around the world. I'm no expert but I know when things are ok, good, and great. This place is great! Went in Friday night with no rezzi but were met with a smile and an "absolutely, follow me" from the hostess. We were greeted by the busser who introduced himself by name and role. Like, "hello my name is xyz and I'll be your busser tonight. May I bring you water?" Don't think that was just one instance. I heard it from others and other tables. This points to a refined approach and high standards set and enforced by the management. Classy. Our server, Tana, was no different. Stellar. Perfect. Professional. A little chit chat but not too much. Made recommendations but wasn't pushy. Attentive during the service but not overshadowing. Took concern about a food allergy and actioned around it. I mean seriously... what's wrong with this place?! ;) See? I haven't even gotten to the FOOD yet! That's how important quality of service truly is. But nothing much to say about the food other than it was SOOO TASTY and high quality overall. It disappeared quickly, which is why I forgot to take pics! Sorry. We will 100% be returning. Ambiance- the restaurant had an elegant feel, yet still casual. I enjoyed the warm lighting and modern feel. Food- The food was nothing special. You think when you pay so much for a pasta they would let you add protein (don't mind if I have to pay extra) but state they can't do that and instead suggest ordering an appetizer to put on top of it. The portion sizes were very small as well. I order the stuffed shells and got 4 small shells with barely and cheese and lots of sauce. I felt as if I was eating a bowl of sauce. Service- Waters were filled relatively fast, food came out quickly, everyone seemed friendly. Our server Paris took a while to bring us our change walking by several times glancing at us. HH Margarita Pizza $15, good sized personal thin crust pizza with fresh basil. Good crust and served hot. HH Caesar salad $12. Personal sized, delicious dressing, sprigs of dill added flavor. Enjoyed and would order again. HH Meatball $6 each. Good flavor, tasted homemade. Good amount of sauce. Brussels Sprouts (not HH) $10. Crispy and tasty. HH meatless spaghetti $15. Awful. Pasta was extremely overcooked. It was soggy goo. Very disappointed. Tasted like my 5yr old took a box of cheap spaghetti, dumped it in hot water and played cartoons for an hour. How can an Italian restaurant serve soggy gooey pasta? Did enjoy the attentive and friendly team service at the bar. Thank you for the fresh ground pepper and Parmesan bowl, used both on the droopy spaghetti. HH red wine wasn't very palatable. Bottle was opened 4/4 per the note, didn't last a day. What a hidden gem! Decided to check out Balla Italian Soul due to their half off steaks for locals on Tuesday night. Yep, you read that right! 50% off steaks!!! Made a reservation just in case. We were seated promptly and service was great throughout the night. They let us enjoy our dinner without being overbearing but they still took the time to check on us periodically. We ordered the following: -crispy Brussels sprouts to share. -fusilli pesto. I'm a sucker for pesto so the minute I saw that on the menu, I immediately had my heart set. One thing to note though, they cannot add any kind of protein (chicken, shrimp etc) along with your pasta. Our waiter, Eric, said they don't have a button option to 'add' on anything extras. -husband ordered the 8 oz Wagyu ribeye. Prepared medium well. He enjoyed it, cooked to his likely and meat was juicy. They even sent out a comp'd dessert due to our anniversary. It's the little things that can mean the most. We will definitely return again. The ambiance is lovely and the staff is funny, encouraging and help to keep a fun, chill vibe. Also did I mention 5 dollars whiskey shots...Shout out to Pedro one of the incredible bar staff that made sure we didn't miss this deal. My favorite drink had to be the cocktail of the month , it's truly refreshing and all of the food came out hot and amazing . You will leave full while your wallet remains intact. Every single dish landed--nothing felt like filler or an afterthought. Special shoutout to our server, Casey, who might be the liveliest and most energetic server I've had in Vegas (and I eat out a lot here). They actually made the meal more fun without crossing into forced enthusiasm territory. For being on the Strip, the pricing was surprisingly reasonable. You're not walking out feeling like you've been mugged by a bowl of pasta, which is rare. Next we shared their cornerstone pizza. Absolutely delicious. Tasty sauce to go along with just the right amount of cheese. I went to Your as a guest this week for the first time. Sahara Casino, where this restaurant is located is usually pretty dead/quiet which is good for me because I hate smoky crowded casinos. It was a nice Italian modern decor inside and it wasn't that busy so we're expecting great service one point taken off for the fact that we waited for a while. No one came to touch our tables. We didn't know who our server was but then we did see him bringing new glasses to the bar area, etc., which is kind of weird considering we never got a welcome stop by check. He finally came over and turns it around. He was a good waiter. The food was tasty and you could tell the pasta was freshly made, which obviously makes a difference you can taste that it was homemade. We got the bread which came with an additional charge of garlic butter came with olive oil and seasoning to dip in, chicken, Parmesan, stuffed mushrooms and chicken marsala. If you're expecting the pounded thinly sliced chicken breast with mushrooms and a dark brown gravy sauce you're going to be surprise because it actually looks nothing like that. It was actually the whole chicken, but they took the bones out apparently I took a bite of it. It was very juicy and had more of an artistic look to it. The food was pretty good. I'd like to try some other options next time for sure. read more

First of all, I have to come clean. I've been to Balla several times...but only for happy hour. Let me tell you: the happy hour is great! There are discounts on wine, cocktails of the day, appetizers, and pizza. Spend the $4 and get an order of foccacia to enjoy with a cocktail and then nosh on your favorites. I loved the cheese-stuffed mushrooms. The meatball -- one large meatball in tomato sauce -- adds some heft to the happy hour. And the pizza is perfect for sharing. The bartenders who are making the drinks and serving the food are friendly, fast, and efficient. If you're looking for an early dinner in the Sahara -- or something to tide you over before a late dinner -- it's a great place to stop by. BTW: the happy hour is available in the bar only, at the bar, and there are no reservations for the bar. read more

It's been a while since I've been to this delicious restaurant. I was so glad I met my colleague here for dinner before we went to see Magic Mike. This restaurant is also located at The Sahara. I made a reservation online for 5:30pm. We were a little late but they still had a seat for us. I love the style of this restaurant. It's truly beautiful! And the service here is amazing. Our waitress took the best care of us and explained the menu since it had been a while since I had been there. Everything is seasonal which I love. So you always know you're getting something good and in season. All the pasta is also made in house too. I ordered a gin cocktail to start. It was super refreshing! I really liked it. To eat, we split a variety of things, including the focaccia bread, a couple different pastas (one being stuffed chicken pasta yummm) and some whipped ricotta which was so tasty because it came with some citrus fruits that's really added to the flavor. I love the style of family sharing for everything so we got to try a variety of items which I loved. Definitely would come back here and as someone who grew up with really good authentic Italian meals, definitely recommend this spot! It's delicious!!! Will not be my last time here. read more

We're staying at Sahara and decided to try a restaurant in the hotel. I actually wanted a steak and saw it on the menu. It's a beautiful restaurant. We had great serve, very friendly and always checking on us. She knew the menu well and went into detail if we had a question about a food. My husband ordered the wage sirloin which he really enjoyed. I ordered the filet which was very good. Everything is Ala cart so we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and a Caesar salad, both very good. They charged $81 which I don't even know why, it was undercooked, extremely salty, and chewy. Not worth that much money. Tuesday local special is a great deal for steaks. Overall, service was good and quick. The hot honey pizza was very tasty, awesome cheese pull, we ate the whole thing. The 8 oz ribeye was very nicely done - cooked to my preferred temp and had nice flavor to it. I would say out of the steaks I've had, it's very solid - not in the upper echelon but better than many. At $32 (half off for locals), I would definitely come back for this. The stuffed mushroom and potato sides were decent but not mind blowing - they were however, pretty good value at $10 vs other steakhouses. Also had the spaghetti which was unfortunately NOT good - this bumped the rating down a bit. Hardly any meat and not enough sauce for me. We had already read the great reviews so had made a reservation for our first night at The Sahara - keeping it simple- and were happy to get a 25% off voucher at the front desk when we checked in. We ate at 5:00 because of later show reservations and it was pretty empty, so we had a choice of where to sit. I noticed they were doing a happy hour at the bar - even on a Saturday! It's daily 5-6 and 9-10. Our server, Ethan, was a 10/10! Super observer and very personable and attentive. He knew the menu and helped us stay on time for our later event. Although I admit i scoffed at the $10 bread service, it was fresh and delicious. The $19 glass of Pinot Noir (Nero from the Willamette Valley, OR) was a perfect suggestion from Ethan. We shared the Beets & Ricotta salad (my favorite item!), $21, and each had a pasta entree: the Fusilli Pesto ($23) was a little heavy on the olive oil for my taste and came out heavy. The squid ink shrimp linguini ($32) was al dente and the shrimp were very fresh, but I found the tomato sauce too salty. I'd return and order something from the meat or fish entrees. Or just get the beet salad and bread service! All in all a lovely meal in a gorgeous room with excellent service. I will return and try the happy hour and the other entrees (Secondo). read more

I come to Vegas often. This is by far the standout meal in the years that I've been coming here. We ordered filet mignon, the Bronzino, which was spectacular. The beef carpaccio was some of the best I've ever had really really well done all around the service was next level. I'm in the industry and so I always appreciate great service. I do note that our visit was during the winter break between Christmas and New Years and this restaurant really did seem short on help. Our server forgot things promised a few times (water and silverware between courses) and also offered us black pepper for our salads when we were half finished after they were dropped off by a runner. It seemed like we waited a very long time between courses. Most of the food was good. The pastas were the best courses we tried. We both really didn't care for the Caesar because it taste more like ranch to us. We also didn't really like the over cooked mushy broccolini. Sea Breams were cooked nicely but were very small portions. I also made my reservation with a birthday notice. The hostess inquired about it but nothing happened from the server so I don't know if she forgot or never was told. It was just like dining at a lower end restaurant. Came here for a birthday dinner with friends. I ordered the lamb pappardelle and a glass of the red wine that was on their happy hour menu. The pasta was good, the lamb was mostly fat unfortunately.
