I am very glad I found this service. The cost was probably the same as purchasing moving supplies and saved me the trouble of driving around town to go dumpster diving. The bins stored everything. Absolutely nothing broke. It helped make the packing much easier and the cleaning afterwards a breeze. Eddie was very professional delivering and picking up the boxes. I moved a 2 bed apt and rented an extra trolley which helped move out quickly. Only complaint is the zip ties that were provided tended to break off or broke when securing the boxes. Other than that, I would highly recommend their service. The yelp coupon was useful too. I am so HAPPY I found this service, so convenient and made packing so much easier and most important sturdier then typical paper boxes that tend to bend and sink in with heavier items. These guys were very prompt in delivering our boxes and so friendly! They explained everything in terms of how to use them and the procedures for the return was very easy as well. Also it was very useful to get those dividers separately that they offered at extra cost for dishes and cups.The only thing is the sofa cover that they offered was very thin and pretty much ripped right away and got our sofa dirty so I would suggest ordering sofa and mattress covers online (amazon sells many good options much thicker plastic). This really forces you to unpack faster as well. We ordered 25 boxes for 1 bedroom, I would say it was enough although if you do have a lot of clothing items, shoes and bags (girls stuff you know) you would need extra suit cases or extra boxes :) I had extra suit cases so it wasnt an issue for me. Also they were super nice to pick up the boxes much earlier as we unpacked within 3 days of our move and wanted to give the boxes back to them earlier than the original scheduled time. Order your boxes based on the size of your home. You can also order recyclable packing supplies. The owner emailed me promptly when I had a question. They were on time and friendly when they delivered the boxes. The owner checked in again after the boxes had been picked up. They had to reschedule the pickup date and I received a handwritten Thank you note from him. They are professional and their follow through is fantastic. Had a very good experience with ZippGo! I was procrastinating getting boxes for my recent move, and needed to pack my shit up a few days before the moving company was arriving. I contemplated getting cardboard boxes (either new ones from a store like Home Depot--I knew this would be quite expensive from prior experience, or trying to get free ones off Craigslist or something--which would have been quite painful and time-consuming). Luckily I found ZippGo on Yelp! I quickly reserved a box drop off for the next day, and wala---that was it! They had a Yelp promotion at the time which didn't quite go through on their website, but the owner/manager Ash was available via online help box, and applied the discount for me manually at his end The boxes were sturdy and eco-friendly. The box pick-up was also very easy. The pick-up/delivery guy (co-owner) was very friendly too. I think the price is very fair, especially considering the drop off/pick up. Not having to deal with used boxes at the end of my move was a huge plus! Basically, I don't think I'll ever use cardboard boxes again for moving. I found ZippGo after reading about a similar service in LA. This is an amazing company and I would definitely use them again! These boxes greatly reduced the stress of my move. A few highlights: - The boxes are so easy to pack and use. Packing up my apartment was so much easier knowing I already had these boxes! - My movers loved the boxes - it was easy to stack a few up and move them around using the dolly provided. - We were left with very little waste at the end of our move! Instead of needing to recycle tons of boxes, we just had the zip ties and box labels. - It forced us to unpack quickly! In previous moves I've always had one or two boxes that I just couldn't seem to unpack - needing to return these helped me kick things into gear! This is our second occasion to use zippgo boxes and will never move again without them! The service delivering and picking up is terrific and the boxes are the best. It is easier to pack and the boxes require much less packing paper - we have not had anything break in them. And it feels so good to not be contributing to paper waste. I will never use cardboard boxes again! My Zippgo bins were delivered to me, tidily stacked until I needed them, the complimentary dolly was a life-saver and these things do two great things: 1) make packing and moving infinitely easier (no taping, you don't have to be as careful about packing because the bins are sturdy, no need to cut boxes open to unload) and 2) the two week rental window forces you to unpack everything immediately instead of letting the moving boxes sit around for months (or worse). This is a startup business run locally by two guys who want to do a good job and be in control of their livelihood, not grow too fast and turn it over to venture funding. They were delivered on time as promised and picked up a the end of the week when I scheduled too. All went very smoothly and the owners were super prompt at returning my call when I booked my online order. Scared I wouldn't have enough boxes, I easily added a few additional large crates and packing paper too. The crates were great. They were not only sturdy but additionally didn't require all of the time it takes to put together cardboard boxes. After the stress of moving, I hate having to break down and figure out how to truck loads of boxes to the recycling areas. No problem with ZippGo! For me the pickup date set my "get it done" unpacking goal date. I easily stacked all the crates as I went. Then the pick up date arrived and the crates magically disappeared. We were very impressed with the box design and total concept of not having to use cardboard and or tape no waste. ZippGo was great. I needed boxes for moving from SF to Walnut Creek. Since I was moving out of SF, the minimum package I could order was the 1 Bedroom or 25 boxes. I only lived in a studio so I thought for sure 25 boxes would be too much. Nope! 25 was just right! In fact I actually needed 26. The boxes were both dropped off and picked up on time. Overall I love these guys!! The Owner is great to work with and a real nice guy. Their boxes are making this EASY to move and durable. The people are friendly. Cons: ZippGo is a business and with Groupon and other sites the fees are high for ZippGo for which makes the Groupon deal very limited. So be cautious when using Groupon and ensure you READ ALL the fine PRINT! Like ensure you live in the city that they deliver to. Going to San Jose to me would seem like a plus without an additional gas fee. Don't know why they could not just put the bins in a storage container like Public Storage and find a local driver to work in each of the city areas. To me this would not seem like this would costs all that much and allow you to expand in your area. Understanding Gas costs a great deal so does a drivers time. Love your idea, Love your product!! I will recommend you to everyone I know even companies who are looking to move. Just wish there was a better business model on the drop off locations with Groupons. 2) Too bad you did not buy those WebVan bins when they were auctioned off. We just used ZippGo for our last move. We ordered the 3 bedroom package. Boxes were delivered to our door at our apartment and picked up from our driveway at our new house. :) Decided not to pay the extra 0.75/box for stair delivery and hauled them up to our apartment myself, although that was a ton of work as they are heavy. The boxes were great for packing and the movers seemed to love them too. Pickup was even easier - I just left them in my driveway, nobody was home at the time. The only thing I wish they would improve is scheduling dropoff/pickup. I had to wait around for a 4 hour window on a work day for dropoff. They arrived at the very tail end of the window. They do schedule weekend dropoffs, but they didn't have any availability when I asked. They also offered to leave the boxes near the street so I didn't need to be there, but this wasn't an option in a gated apartment complex. read more

I've moved quite a bit in the last few years and ZippGo made this move in particular significantly easier than any of the other ones. The boxes were so much easier to pack, move, and unpack than cardboard boxes and tape, were a million times more durable, and it made the whole move faster and less of a headache. Once it was over, it was so nice that they picked them up and I wasn't stuck trying to dispose of 40 cardboard boxes. Their customer service was excellent too. They answered all of my questions before the move, arrived on time for both drop-off and pick-up, and was overall an excellent service to experience. Super friendly and timely service. Any changes or requests, they respond via email or phone right away. Probably comes out cheaper than buying boxes only to throw them away. It is definitely easier and more efficient. LOVE these boxes as you don't need to deal with the cardboard boxes (and the noisy taping!?) - and they are durable, and protect the fragile items very well. Make sure you order the dolly as well as the boxes, they are so worth the $7/week cost (i didn't, and I dearly paid for my cheapness). Delivery and pickup were a snap, and their punctuality is awesome. I'd say I would use them again, but would hate to only because that would mean I'm moving again. I've moved twice so far using ZippGo moving boxes. The boxes are sturdy and hold a lot. They come with zip ties to keep them closed during moving, as well as a bunch of stickers for labeling. Their staff are friendly. But don't be surprised if they call asking to adjust the delivery or pickup times because they happen to be in your area a day earlier or later. I was totally cool with it because my schedule was flexible enough and they asked in advance. As another person said, you might want to order a bigger package than what you initially think. I'd bought a 1 bedroom package, but I had more stuff than I remembered, so I had to buy 10 or so extra cardboard boxes at Home Depot at the last minute the day the movers arrived to pack everything. read more

These guys are nothing short of fantastic. They have customer service, timeliness, and speed down, all of which are essential. Unfortunately, I didn't think ahead to plan my move. Fortunately for me, I called them and they were able to deliver me their smallest set of boxes (25) the same day! When the driver showed up, all it took was a brief but friendly explanation about where to attach the zipties. Excellent! Rented 35 boxes for a 2bd move and was able to reuse them multiple times in the three weeks we had them. They even came with a bundle of colored zip ties and adhesive labels that came in handy. Boxes are large, sturdy and can take some light abuse. Note, the boxes are very heavy when filled with books. I was able to get eight boxes into a Ford Escape with room for smaller items on top and the sides. Made for quick and productive loads to the new place. The wheeled dolly provided was not very useful at all, a standard hand truck works much better at maneuvering up stairs, ramps, hallways with carpet. 35 boxes was a lot and at times we could have used twice as many. If your moving everything in a single day then get more than you think you will need because you will fill them up. I took the less boxes for longer period of time approach and reused them at least three times. The best part is the pick up. Everything is unpacked and the boxes are gone, on to another move and not piled up in the garage. read more

So awesome. I didn't realize how much additional work it is to make and break down boxes until I used ZippGo. Having the boxes stacked and ready to go was about 1000 times easier than having piles of cardboard and rolls of tape. I've moved around San Francisco and the Bay Area well over ten times in the past ten years and this last move was by far the easiest, even though it involved the most stuff. I moved into a 600 sq ft one bedroom condo and the small package with 25 boxes was enough to hold all of my items. 2. The movers commented on how easy this made their move. 3. Definitely worth not having to build and break down all of the cardboard boxes. 4. They texted me the night before my pickup/dropoff to confirm my time slot. They also texted me when they were running late to give me an update (they still showed up within the time slot). 5. Poor customer service. I called to order boxes after trying to submit my order online. I was informed by the person in the phone that they needed my card. When I asked about getting the service the next day, they shared they couldn't process my order because they were down a driver. Not sure when I became a member of the staff, I was under the impression I was the customer. After I proceeded to move the conversation forward to my actually order, the dispatcher takes this person and proceeded to cancel my order with no reason given. Was looking forward to using this service but I went to uhaul and got the same service for $100 less and I was able to rent a truck to bring them home myself. Moral of the feedback, if you can't answer basic questions, maybe you should think about hiring professionals who are trained in servicing the customer.
