Zips is one of those chain fast food places that looks a little old and one you would just drive by. That would be a huge mistake! Friday we were in the area and they were advertising Fish and Chips for $6.99. We ran our errands and "Zipped " on in! The drive through was very busy so we decided to dine in. Extremely friendly staff, like overly friendly! Happy employees! We ordered 2 fish n chips. Served within a few minutes! Pipping hot, juicy, flaky cod! Nice hot fresh fries! Self serve tarter sauce at no extra cost! Even served with a lemon wedge! Nice job! I have not been disappointed once at a zips no matter the location!

Beard/hair nets need to be enforced here. My friend and I found multiple hairs in our burgers and burgers were mid

Asked for a curly fry and 2 grilled cheeses. Received a undercooked normal fry and this inside out bun with cold cheese. After asking them for what I ordered they told me that they don't have them after I got my order. Turns out they do and the grilled cheese isn't supposed to look like this. Do yourself a favor and go to the other location on Bowdish.

Zips has been a staple in the Inland Northwest for years. Regardless of the slow drive-thru times and sloppy burgers, they're still around. After living in this area for 38 years, tonight's visit to Zips will be my last. My wife and I went through the drive through and ordered two large-sized grilled chicken meals. The total came to $23+, and though I was stupid enough to pay before questioning the high cost, I brought it up to the second window attendant. The receipt made no sense, and I asked him to explain how it could be so much. His explanation made no sense, and the total should've been like $19 plus tax, but it ended up being $23. Ok, so we're talking a few bucks. But mixed with the incredibly Zips trademarked slow wait time (10m just at the second window), the fact that the food looked sloppy, and the "large" fries we paid for ended up being a regular sized fries, $23 is ridiculous. Zips' food is not good enough to spend that much. We could've easily gone to Red Robin for the same price and had much better food!

20 minute wait, just to have hair in my burger and my fries soggy, and no extra sauce that I paid for.

Very disappointed. Fries were cold, chicken tasted like onion rings. Overpriced for the quality. This location is not like it used to be.

Friendly and fast service. Got our food and it was the typical zips I grew up with. Definitely will be back.

Hangry's is in my pasture--my neck of the woods--and because of that, I want it to win. When Hangry's first opened, I remember lifting my head from the grass and thinking, Now that's something different. A small, independent burger stop with real personality. Not a franchise. Not a copy-and-paste joint. Real food, real effort, real care. Burgers with heft. Flavors with backbone. Portions that didn't insult a full-grown cow like myself. There was pride in the grill and warmth behind the counter. You could feel it. That's why this is hard to chew on. The food is still good. Let me be clear--I'm not saying it's bad. But the spark has dulled. The uniqueness that once set Hangry's apart has lost some of its flavor. The service doesn't carry the same energy it once did. There's a tension in the air now, a kind of hangry mood that doesn't come from hunger, but from strain. It feels less like a place excited to serve, and more like a place trying to survive. And that worries me. Because I don't want Hangry's to become just another Zip's. Another forgettable stop where burgers are churned out without soul. This place was never meant to be that. It was meant to be a friendly, fun, neighborhood joint--high quality, generous portions, bold flavor, and people who cared deeply about what they put on the plate and how they handed it across the counter. I know running a business is hard. Even a cow understands that. Starting strong is one thing; staying sharp is another. Motivation fades. Criticism piles up. The grind wears you down. But the answer isn't to lower the bar--it's to return to the basics. To remember who you were when you started. To cook like you still have something to prove. To serve like every customer matters, because they do. Hangry's doesn't need to reinvent itself. It needs to refocus. Quality first. Pride back in the process. Fresh eyes on the food. Confidence instead of survival mode. If that happens, this place won't just hang on--it will thrive. This bull is rooting for you. You're in my pasture, and I want you here for a long time. Get back to your roots, sharpen your edge, and remind us why we noticed you in the first place. This cow is all in.

I was in absolutely no mood for Olive garden but thought Spokane might have some nice country fried steak. Did a quick Google search and this place came up. The steak portion size was super generous and it was covered with gravy. I cleaned up my plate. This dish was perfect. I got the eggs, biscuit and slaw ( did some subs) and they didn't disappoint as well. This is a small, probably family managed place. Don't expect anything fancy and all that jazz. Come here if you want some good chicken fried steak. They also had a bunch of burger options.

The Order: General (burger) + Loaded Brisket Fries…read more First off... Online ordering... aka ScrollFest 2026... worked great, even if it felt like filling out a mortgage application. A heroic amount of options. I'm sure some folks love that level of control, but by the end I half-expected a personality test. On a phone? Absolutely unhinged. Desktop was survivable... barely. Pickup: Online said 30 minutes (6:23pm). Reality said "Nah, we're done already" at 6:09pm. Credit where it's due... glad I went down early so the food didn't turn into sad leftovers before I even met it. Presentation: Burger and fries looked good. No shame there. Instagram wouldn't have laughed at me. The General (Burger): Unfortunately... dry. Not send-it-back dry, but definitely "thank God for pickles" dry. The pickles did some real heavy lifting, adding the only noticeable zip. BBQ sauce and ranch were apparently present in spirit only... I saw a drip, but my taste buds never got the memo. Result: A decent burger. Not bad. Not memorable. Certainly not something I'd text a friend about like "BRO YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS." Loaded Brisket Fries: Flavor? Good. Sauce? Tasty. Execution? Eh. For $12, the portion felt a little "is this the appetizer?" The fries could've been warmer and better mixed... instead it was more like scavenger hunting for bites that had everything together. The deep-fried cheese curds were legit but borderline fork-vs-curd death match. That plastic fork never stood a chance. Outsides were pretty crusty... almost too committed to the crunch. Overall Verdict: Good food. Nothing offensive. Nothing that screams "come back often." If I'm nearby and hungry... sure. If I'm choosing a place intentionally... probably not. Final Score: 3.5 stars... rounding up to 4 because I believe in grace. Solid effort. Some wins. Some misses. No fireworks. Would eat again... but only if someone else picked the place and I didn't have to scroll for 10 minutes first Ambiance: N/A. Consumed at home where the lighting was good and the floor was not sticky.
