I took my six kids here after spending a day at the beach in Lake Town. The chicken fingers were on point and my kids likes the burgers and corn dogs. They really enjoyed eating in the boat seats they have up front. The bathrooms were clean and they have plenty of places to sit outdoors and some spots in the shade. Quality of food was the best we had all week. We ordered the Muenster burger and honey chipotle chicken sandwich. Both had a good kick and a ton of flavor. Cooked perfectly. Loved the muddy buddy shake but thought the salted caramel was more vanilla than caramel. Service was FAST. This place is efficient and the atmosphere is so fun. Not sure why this place has 4.5 stars. Maybe we were just here on a bad day, but we were told that they were out of the first couple things we ordered- Bacon Chicken Salad Blackberries Cheese I asked the order taker how they stay in business if they don't ever have anything? She said they've been busy with training. Regarding the food, the fries were fine and the Dole Whips were good, but not good enough to want to come back for. We ordered 3 corn dogs that were all done to varying degrees- from done, to doughy, to the cornbread mix was still wet. My review is based solely on their ice cream shakes. I have not had any of their food. I tried their shakes based on the high reviews, but I think the high reviews were more for the food than the shakes. They were 16 ounces, so they were a little bit small for a large, and they were lacking in the Mix-ins. Mostly vanilla ice cream with a small amount of mix-in. In fact, I saw quite a few people that were eating food at zips but had purchased their shakes from LeBeau's next-door. Having been to LeBeau's many times, I would recommend zips improves their shakes just a little bit and they will be able to give others a run for their money. But until then, I would recommend shakes somewhere else. read more

Holy moly this place has the best fries ever! And on top of that they have about 10 yummy sauces to dip them in. We also tried the hand dipped corn dog and it was delicious. Shakes and dole whips are great and they have any size soda for $1.39 plus you can add any flavors to your soda free of charge! Food is 5 stars hands down. I can't wait to try more next time I'm in town. The decor is on point. Fun and bright, everything is really clean and new. We ate our food in a boat! I will be back many times. This was our first visit to Zipz - it was great! We had the smoked pork sandwich, fries and of course, the mandatory fresh raspberry shakes! They were all delicious, the fries are wonderful and they had 14 different sauces for your dipping pleasure. Lots of shaded, covered seating - two seating areas in motor boat shells, fun for the kids. We will go again next time we are at Bear Lake. read more

We tried both raspberry shakes at Zipz and LaBeau's. Personally we liked LaBeau's better. The Zipz shakes are much creamier and sweeter, but we liked the icier shake with the slightly tarter berries at LaBeau's. While waiting for our hot food in the drive through they delivered our shakes to us....I got the banana cream pie shake.... holy smokes Batman, there are not enough exclamation points to describe how amazing it was!!! Best place to eat in this tiny bear lake town. I didn't think the best fries I would ever eat would be at a little place in the middle of nowhere but these fries are amazing. I liked the chicken strips too, they have a ton of unique sauces for the food and that is always a bonus. Their shakes are good, the raspberry shake is better than the other 4 places I tried. They specialize in frying things to perfection so get something deep fried. I had the Nutella brownie shake and tried the dole whip thing which was good too. The reason I removed two stars is the fact that this is the first and only restaurant I've gone to during Covid-19 in which I felt completely uncomfortable and highly certain that someone will spread and catch it there. Things lacking that could easily make it much safer include: *encouraging patrons to wear masks unless seated and eating. *cordon off some tables for increased physical distance while eating. *physical distancing and directional flow markers. *get rid of the self serve sauce and drink area. Instead ask which sauces and hand them prepackaged when you pickup your food or order. *wipe down the tables and chairs between customers! **this should be happening anyway, but we had to find someone and wait five minutes to get them to clean a table. *make sure the employees aren't constantly touching their masks, removing and replacing them and then handing customers their food! (Yes, the girl at the window handing food did this numerous times. She even handed me our ice cream cone with her bare hands right after taking a drink and replacing her mask). *please use a number system instead of names. We had another person literally take our ice cream cone from the girl as she was handing it to us. She then handed to us and the employee thought that was fine? I then asked for a new one especially since there wasn't a napkin around the cone and now both had touched the edible portion of the cone! *have the cooks please wear masks too. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend going here until these changes go into effect unless you're immune to Covid-19. read more

I have been going to Zips since it first opened. I don't know if they are under new management or have changed philosophy but they have gone from the best to one of the worst. Zipz opened last summer. We have a cabin in the area and go there often. Their shakes are creamy and delicious. I love their pulled pork sandwich with Zipz sauce. This year they added fries to their menu. They are beer battered and seasoned just right. You can get any size drink for $1.39. There can be lines down the block for everywhere including Zipz and we are able to go through the drive-thru in a fraction of the time it would take to wait in one of the lines. Their eating area is nice and shady with more seating than many of the other establishments. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. read more

Man this place is great. It's cute/well decorated and the seats have air suspension and the raspberry shake is BOMB (fresh, tart, creamy) and I'm really glad we got the buffalo blasts with honey mustard because they were super yum and lastly the soda machine is good. Our food was hot and came out quickly so all in all I'd gladly give Zipz a 5 star review given the experience we had. Zipz was on our list of places to try while visiting bear lake. It is always busy, but we managed to sneak in right after a big storm and had no line at all. We got chicken strips and a steam saucewhich. The chicken was amazing and high quality. The sandwich was good, but hard to eat. After we finished sharing with each other, we decided to get a corn dog and raspberry shake with chocolate shavings mixed in. The raspberry shake was delicious... a little too sweet with the chocolate, but a close second to the original plain raspberry shake. The corn dog was pretty good, but a bit greasy and made me feel gross. I'd stick with the chicken from now on... especially with the Moose sauce. read more

Yay! I love that there is finally a restaurant in Bear Lake that isn't a greasy burger joint. I've tried a few of their food items & they were all excellent. I won't disclose how many drinks/shakes I've tried, but I haven't been disappointed at all. My favorite so far was the Nutella Shake...yum! I know this is kind of sacrilegious for the Bear Lake valley because everyone has their old stand-by shake eateries, but I think these guys make the best tasting shake in the valley, hands-down. And yes, they do have raspberry shakes. I also love that they have a drive-thru, it comes in very handy when you don't want to stand in a long line in the hot sun, or if you have a sleeping kid you don't want to wake but you're really in the mood for a slushy drink.
