We loved this stop on our way to Bear Lake. The shakes were delicious and very filling! The smallest size is plenty. Zipz is an awesome lunch spot located in Garden City, Utah. From the cool, eclectic atmosphere, to the friendly employees, to the laid back feel (made me think about something from the California beach days of the 1950's/60's.)We actually stumbled upon Zipz while taking a scenic drive from Yellowstone Back to Park City (we travelled from Alabama) we stopped and tried Zipz hand dipped corn dogs. They were pretty good. Mine was a little doughy but overall good taste. Fries and tots were delicious and salty. Yum. My kids had a double chocolate brownie shake and a Nutella brownie shake (for those not from here, think a blizzard or sonic blast) Soo good. The best part in my opinion was the overall atmosphere. A few days later we decided to come back to Bear Lake to swim and enjoy the activities. We decided to stop again for lunch. This time an order of chicken fingers, corn dog, cheeseburger and shakes. We love zips! The Dole Whip is a treat not to be missed. And the employees are so friendly and helpful. We were admiring the sweatshirts just as they were closing for the evening. The owner saw us and offered to have his daughter take us upstairs to look at all the new sweatshirts they had gotten in but had not displayed yet. We spent some time finding the perfect sweatshirt for my daughter and then he mentioned they also had another brand new style of sweatshirt in his warehouse down the street. What an incredible place that was! He showed us all the vintage boats he was working on to use as art in his restaurant. Anyway, we ended up buying 3 sweatshirts because of the owners incredible customer service. My 3 teenagers declared that the sweatshirts are "sick" which of course is the highest complement. We were driving from Wyoming to Provo, and found this place as they were about to close. We loved the ambience and the vibe. Plenty of tasty sauces to go with the hot dogs. Fries were awesome. Super cool spot- Giving it 3 stars because the seating area with boats, skis and lots of old magazine ads is fun. The prices seem a lot lower and the drinks looked good. but I ordered wrong Don't get the buffalo bombs or whatever they are called. Wonton skins stuffed with shredded chicken and buffalo sauce, then lightly breaded... Maybe with fine Panko? Weird and not very good. I've been to the top 3 or 4 rated shake places in town and Zips is hands down the best. The consistency was thicker (almost like a blizzard) and they used actual fresh (not frozen) raspberries - don't believe all the signs that say fresh raspberry shakes! Also, Zipz has a huge array of tasty dipping sauces, all out on a bar for you to take as you please (they don't charge anything for them.) Great with fries and tots. read more

This restaurant provided a great atmosphere with cute DIY decorations and cool theme. Unfortunately it didn't quite make up for the lack of quality to the food. The dole whip was ok and every other chicken strip was gelatinous and difficult to stomach. This place is a cool hangout, but for quality food, I would go somewhere else. All the different flavors of shake that our group got were very good. My daughter's mint shake was especially good (sorry, raspberry). The staff was great when I left my wallet there accidentally. We should have had a hint of how bad this place is by the sign "least famous" We decided to eat here because it didnt have a long line and everywhere else was packed, another sign. So we ordered 3 corn dogs and 2 shake and 2 fries the total was $28. Yikes not cheap. the corn dogs are better described as grease with a side of grease garnished with a corn dog, the fries werent too bad but very greasy, and the raspberry shake can be described as "No raspberries were harmed in the making of this shake." It was a very pretty shade of pink with a couple of berry seed but tasted just like vanilla ice cream. I had a case of indigestion that had me looking for a bathroom, outhouse or even an inviting tree stump with a nice patch of lambs ear near by. I was pray for death it was so bad. This is our new favorite place in Bear Lake! The boat atmosphere and decorations on the exterior were inviting, but the food will keep us coming back! I love Zipz!!! The banana cream pie shake is the best thing ever (I didn't try raspberry, oops) and the fries are amazing. I also loved how you can get a mini sized shake--the other sizes are too big and a lot gets wasted. Fairly fast service for how busy it gets too! We seriously showed up with like 12 adults and 20 kids and it was still pretty quick service. We went 2 nights in a row at Bear Lake because it was so good, even though we were on the exact opposite side of the lake from Zipz. I would definitely go back here. read more

No offense to LaBeau's, but my family has found our new favorite place to eat at Bear Lake. I'd drive the 2 1/2 hours it takes from Salt Lake just to eat here again. The service was fast and friendly. It took 3-5 minutes to get a really delicious hand dipped corn dog, the best fries I have had in a long time (batter-fry style), and a Dole Whip. Their huge assortment of sauces were pretty darn good as well. The world needs more places like this. Just sayin'. read more

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, fries, and a chocolate raspberry shake. My GF ordered a Philly with Buffalo Blasts and a Dole Whip. Both sandwiches had very tender, flavorful meat. They don't put condiments on them, but have a bar equipped with various sauces and condiments. I used Zipz sauce which complemented the sandwich meat nicely. The Dole Whip was delicious, the chocolate raspberry shake was average. In my opinion the Buffalo Blasts were overcooked and less than great in my mind. From dining other places in Garden City, I found the sandwich and fries here were by far the best I ate. The shake was average, the Dole Whip great. read more

We have a cabin in the area and so we visit Zipz about every time we are here (in the summer) we love this place. It's family owned and run (all of the owners kids take the orders and make the food ) the fries and tots are amazing and we order the Hawaiian salted caramel shiver (even though it's not on the menu). These guys make their raspberry shakes with raspberry ice cream instead of vanilla like everyone else so they are super creamy and full of flavor. Glad to see them do so well.
