Zisters is our go to breakfast/brunch restaurant. I love their Eggs Benedict; the hollandaise sauce is buttery and lemony. One of the few places that still does hash-browns too! I also love their chicken sandwich. Their portions are generous and can easily be shared (my little guy and I usually split the eggs benedict). Stopped in to order some breakfast to-go and both the hostess and bartender (that took my order) were extremely nice. I had their peach Bellini (with cranberry juice instead of OJ) and a biscuit while I waited - both were really good. When I got home, part of my order (salmon flatbread) was wrong, but when I called, Betsey was kind enough to offer me a free order my next visit. The Belgian waffle that I also ordered was perfect! Yesterday was another great visit to Zisters! Although we were told the wait would be 30 minutes, we were seated much sooner. Matthew was our server and he was great! Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the BYOB (Burger). It wasn't too great, but I enjoyed everyone else's food at the table. The burger wasnt seasoned. Zisters has amazing food! I've never tried something here that I didn't like. My husband loves beignets and they have some great ones with chocolate dipping sauce. We've been many times and the service is always fantastic even though we tend to come later and they close at 3pm. I have tried going around lunch time and it's pretty consistently a 1+ hour wait at peak times but there's shopping centers and other places you can wander around. The restaurants decor is very "brunch" aesthetic, with cute neon signs and faux greenery walls. Definitely a favorite for brunch. read more

This place was so good! I visited around 12:30pm on a Monday. It was definitely busy they still had open seating right away both inside and outside. Their patio is big and has ample shade to keep you cool from the sun. I started with a cocktail (of course), the Elderflower fine martini. It was delicious! For food I had the Nashville hot chicken ribeye sandwich. It was so good! Perfectly seasoned, the sauce had a very good kick but wasn't overpowering. We had a great time at this restaurant! Parking is very easy in the parking lot just outside of the restaurant. We four people arrived at around 10:40 on a Saturday morning and the wait was like 25 - 30 minutes. The area around is nice so we just walked around while waiting. The restaurant is modern and bright. Our server is very friendly and patient. Love the vibes! I got Monte Cristo which is a French toast with ham and Swiss cheese inside. It got a nice balance between sweet and savory. I really enjoyed it. I chose fries as my side and OMG no regrets at all - they are crispy, thin and flavorful. Highly recommend choosing fries as a side. My friends got a veggie omelette, a chicken panini and a carnivore bowl. Everyone liked what they got. The cold brew and house blend coffee are pretty average - nothing really worth mentioning. Their menu is pretty diverse and has other food and drink items that look delicious. I have visited Zisters many times over the course of about 5 years, and my most recent visit was the most pleasant. A group of 6 girls and I dined here on 12/23/2022 to celebrate my friend's birthday, and our service and food were perfect. The ambiance has been similar for the past 5 years, there is lots of natural light which is nice especially during the winter months, and it is a very cute brunch spot that is popular for Brookfield, Elm Grove, and Wauwatosa. I have also dined at all different times throughout their open hours, and I like going for brunch the most and enjoy sitting inside and on their patio in the summer. Our large group was able to be seated right away despite the restaurant being very busy, and our food came very fast. The dishes that were ordered included the Nutella Pancakes, Traditional Eggs Benedict, I believe the Meat Omelette but I'm not completely sure it was the meat one, Traditional Breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon, and Chicken and Waffles. All the girls in my group absolutely loves their dishes, and my Traditional Eggs Benedict was delicious. It came with 3 muffins instead of 2 and I was pleasantly surprised when it came to our table. Although it is a very classic and plain dish, the ham and eggs were very fresh, the hollandaise sauce was perfectly made, and the dish itself was just what I wanted. My friends and I also all loved the crispy hash browns. Despite our wonderful experience, I have always kept in mind how I was treated as a guest when I would dine her at a younger age in high school. Whenever I would visit with one other friend, the waitresses were never very friendly to us and seemed somewhat bothered by us dining there. To start off, the restaurant is very cute! The vibes were chique and homie, and it definitely screams a "Zisters" vibe with pink neon lights that say "Champagne is the new coffee." Now, I understand why alcohol was prioritized here. Coffee starts with good water--if you don't have good water, no matter how good your coffee beans are, your coffee is going to be ruined. My partner and I just ordered the house coffee and on my first sip, I thought I was drinking salted coffee. It had a weird alkaline taste that I could put my finger on. However, when I drank the iced water, I knew where the problem lied. The water was likely not filtered or maybe that's just how the water at elm brook is like. Onto the food, I ordered the Benedict flight, which I absolutely enjoyed with the traditional, smoked salmon, and florentine ones. I loved my dish, and the price was worth it for three Benedict's. I could only finish two and packed the last one for home. The hashbrown was good, too. My partner ordered the BYO omelette and made it into a burrito with potatoes on the side. The burrito was good, but the kitchen forgot to add the avocado he ordered and half of the potatoes were burnt, as shown in the photos. We addressed our concerns with Juan, our server, and he gladly helped us out with the avocado and the potatoes. His service was fantastic so I just want to shout out to him! Overall, after we got our bill, it was expensive for the food we got. I'm likely to go to mimosa instead of Sister's for brunch next time. Zisters had been on my list for a while due to amazing looking pictures of their chicken and waffle. Having finally had a chance to stop, I ordered the chicken and waffle (obviously) and a side of house potatoes. My favorite Yelp reviewer and Yelper-I-aspire-to-be-like, Steven T., mentioned in his review that the house potatoes were "bland and needed salt". It's not that I didn't believe him, I just thought it was an unexpected observation with how good the potatoes look. Well people, don't be fooled like I was. The potatoes are indeed disappointing and lack any semblance of non-potato flavor or salt. Absolutely not worth the ala carte price of $5. The chicken was cooked well and you get a sizeable amount of it, but the amount of pepper in the breading was borderline excessive. The menu does not list this as "hot" chicken, but it certainly had heat to it. Every bite was more uncomfortable than the last. The waffle was far and away the best part of the meal, even with being a standard waffle and having nothing special about it. No complaints there. read more

This has been a bookmark ever since it opened and today I finally got over for breakfast at 7:18 am just after opening and I had the whole place to my self. The place is clean and modern looking which looks nothing like the Greek place that was there. It has a small bar and hi tables/chairs with an outdoor patio. The menu has a nice assortment of items and today I would do something different and get the meat omelette and a Bloody Mary. Service was spectacular since I was the only one in the place for the first 20 minutes. I ordered the meat omelette with wheat toast and house breakfast potatoes which came pretty fast and looked good. My only complaint is the toast is only one slice of bread, when did toast go from 2 slices to one and why give me such a big container of butter to waste for one slice of bread. The house breakfast potatoes looked good but they were bland and needed salt. The meat omelette is bacon, sausage, ham and cheese which was good but I could only make one toast sandwich because of only one slice of bread toast. The whole reason I ordered the Bloody Mary was because the pictures showed a garnish of a bacon strip, pickle spear and an olive and I only had one olive in mine so I feel cheated and that cost stars in this review. My Bloody Mary looks nothing like all the other pictures but I bet that I paid exactly what the other people paid for and got. read more

A trendy brunch place in Elm Grove, we decided to stop on our way to Madison and found it to be a charming and inviting spot to dine. We went on a Sunday around noon and there was a live band playing some popular cover songs that the lively and boisterous crowd was eating up, in addition to the solid food they serve. Started with drinks - Pink Drink (Fresh juiced pineapple, strawberry and lime juice) was solid and helped out by adding vodka The chicken panini was a solid choice and had a lot of flavor. The Steak Wrap was well prepared and good quality sirloin that was tender and not rubbery. It's a nice spot to grab breakfast/lunch with an inviting and attentive staff. The food came out super fast. Delicious meal for a lunch date. Have been a couple of times for brunch with the family. Today I had the kale and avocado salad - with blackened salmon. It was fabulous. Nice piece of salmon - no skipping on a little piece of fish...- and actually same with the avocado- you know how sometimes you order something "with avocado" and you barely get a sliver?! Nope- here it was two nice pieces ( I'd venture to say almost the whole avocado). Fresh and crisp veggies added to my enjoyment of this salad. Hubby got the Zisters burger- and loved every bite. They cook to order- and serve it as ordered. He loved the grilled onions and the special zister sauce. It was a quiet late afternoon lunch- rather enjoyed the slow roll. Years ago, when Zisters first opened, we had brunch there a few times and had overall good experiences. I recently had lunch there and it was the total opposite. Mid week and mid morning, in a nearly empty restaurant, while several of the staff were socializing with one another in the bar area, I waited over 10 minutes for anyone to come to my table, was never offered water, was served completely opaque and dark brown iced tea that tasted off like it came from a bar dispenser and was not freshly brewed, then waited half an hour for my entree, which was barely warm, bland, and also missing its condiment. Later that day and for over 18 hours afterward, I had severe abdominal issues to the degree that I could not be away from my house and was up most of the night. Since I eat one meal a day, there was no question that the bad lunch was the cause. The restaurant has strange seating. Along the west side of an interior wall, the person seated on the booth side towers over the table, while the person sitting opposite in a tall, hard metal chair sits low in relation to the table and ridiculously low compared to their dining companion. Given the long wait times for service, the hard chair was not appreciated. Weird and uncomfortable seating can be overlooked, but seriously bad food and service cannot. read more

Stopped in on a weeknight to grab some dinner. This place is very popular for breakfast and lunch however they also do dinner. When the weather is nice they have an outdoor patio you can sit on. It's very bright and clean inside with large TVs throughout to catch a game. The menu was small, probably due to Covid but they offer some really good options. We decided to try the nacho appetizer with chicken and their hummus appetizer. The nachos were fantastic we would definitely get those again. The hummus was good. I don't know that I would order it again. I got a house salad with blackened salmon on it for dinner which was fantastic!
