Zisters is one of those spots we keep forgetting about, but finally stopped in for breakfast after church on Sunday. Service was attentive and the food came out fast -- both things you want on a Sunday morning when you're still in your church clothes and not quite ready to commit to a long sit. I skipped the coffee and went with the pink juice. It leaned more tart than sweet, which I did not mind, and it was genuinely pretty in the glass -- but at $9, I found myself doing the math. The menu did not specify the size, though I am guessing it was an 8 oz pour, and it came fairly full of ice. Refreshing, yes. Repeatable at that price, I am not sure. For food, I had the classic breakfast -- two eggs over easy, sourdough toast, and roasted potatoes. Simple and exactly what I was in the mood for. Hubby went with the brioche breakfast sandwich: scrambled eggs, cheddar, thick-cut bacon, and chipotle aioli on toasted brioche, with hash browns on the side. He was happy with it. The menu has a lot of options, and there are plenty of ways to upgrade or customize, though most come with an added cost. You can swap your side to fresh fruit or a salad for $1 more, which is a reasonable upcharge if that is what you are after. Worth knowing if you are going with a larger group on the weekend: no split checks on Saturdays or Sundays for parties of 6 or more. The weather cooperated and all the windows and patio doors were open. Plenty of patio seating was available when we arrived, which made the whole experience feel a little more relaxed. Our most recent visit was pretty poor, despite several nice visits previously. So, long term it's a 4 star for us, but last visit a 1-2. Raspberry/lemonade was delivered and it tasted just like a Paloma, strong on the grapefruit. No mention of grapefruit on the drink description and when mentioned to wait staff, the response, " we do not take drinks that you don't like off of the bill. We could just sweeten it, but we're not going to refund it or take it off the bill." Odd response given that the request was raspberry drink. Then, three out of the four plates were served cold. One plate had sour tasting beef, and I'm confident that it's the beef that made me vomit about 2 hours after consuming it. It's clear the EG area needs more good eats spots like this because it was popppppin! My friends and I waited roughly 30-40min to be seated, and service was definitely on the slow side, but again all this to say, they're clearly busy for a reason. I tired out their fresh green juice blend (apple, ginger celery, lemon, mint) and thought it was super tasty! Among my friends' orders were also mimosas and bloodies. One friend noted the great toppings on the bloody but wasn't the biggest fan of the mix itself. In either case, they have tons of drink options on the menu, from coffees and teas to cocktails and nitro NAs. Food wise, also a large selection! You'll find all the typical brunchy items here, from savory to sweet, plus bowls, salads, sammies, etc. I went with the protein bowl- right up my alley with the grilled chicken, hot honey, and cottage cheese! Flavor wise it was all good but boy was there way too much mix greens at the base. I'd low key prob request the bowl without it next time. Two friends got the hot honey chicken sandwich which looked so fire (and massive). They enjoyed. Another friend liked her benedict. Enjoyed a fabulous brunch with girlfriends this past weekend! We did not have a reservation on a Sunday AM so we waited about 45 minutes for a table, luckily we were able to take a seat at the bar and enjoy a beverage beforehand. I enjoyed a NA mimosa, which if you didn't know, it looked (and tasted) just as good as an alcoholic mimosa. I enjoyed the hot honey chicken sandwich, it was largeeee, but very flavorful and satisfying. I especially loved the fries. Our wait staff was timely and kind and checked in frequently to inquire about drinks and satisfaction. I've been wanting to come here for some years now and finally got the chance two. Was perfect for a girls brunch, the scenery is cozy, lots of natural lighting. There's bar and table seating and it was easy to give my name and number and only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for 3 at what seemed like a busy time. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed how fluffy the French toast was and my mimosa was well balanced. My friends enjoyed their food as well. Recently grabbed lunch at Zister's during the week. We waited for a few minutes for a table, and the hostess ended up setting up a table in a dimly lit back corner of the restaurant (I did see a table open in the window, but decided to let it go). The issue with this location became more evident as time went on. Both my husband and I realized you could smell the bathrooms every time the doors opened. And it wasn't super pleasant after awhile. I should have spoken up, but we decided to finish up and leave. The food was ok, the service was pretty good (although they seemed a little bit understaffed?), but the table location kind of killed the experience. Learn from my experience and wait longer instead of settling for a table in the back corner. read more

We have been long time brunch customers here (love the beignets), but decided to check out the new dinner service. Rolled in around 6 pm on a Wednesday and were seated quickly at a nice high top by the open garage-style windows. Lovely summer evening for an Aperol spritz. Allie greeted us warmly and provided attentive and friendly service. The food was just as delicious as we have come to expect - I loved my Mediterranean bowl with salmon, my wife's shrimp tacos were great (just the right spice level), and the kids menu was on point. Looked forward to getting back to Zisters Sunday morning after a few months away. I was surprised to see they updated the interior, darkening many of the walls making it feel a bit moodier than needed for a business focusing on the brunch crowd. While it may not be my vibe, I do appreciate the fact they reinvest $$ to keep things fresh. Service was slower than it needed to be based on the number of people in the restaurant at the time. Maybe the servers were catching up on their busy weekends. The food was consistent as usual. I enjoyed the big burrito which is a newer item on the menu. They use their famous billionaires bacon in the burrito but its flavors were lost when combined with the ancho chili. The experience was positive and I will be back. Had a really great time here celebrating one of my colleagues recent professional accomplishments over brunch. The staff was extremely caring and attentive to all our needs (shoutout Ethan). We had made a reservation and they had our table ready for us right when we got there. The restaurant feels big and cozy all in one. They have a large outdoor patio I'm excited to check out once the weather permits. The food was great! I got their breakfast burger that had an interesting beef and chorizo mix patty that had a great char and slight kick to it. The fries and hash browns were also really good. The inside is big with plenty of tables. My guess is with the food & drink options, and how modern it felt that this place is packed for breakfast on Saturdays/Sundays. It's a good idea to do what they do & have lunch & breakfast both available. I think we got there close to 12 & were able to still order breakfast items. I got a eggs benny, which they have a spin on it which I appreciated. The benny first off comes with 3, not 2, which is awesome. 2nd you pick which 3 you want instead of only having to get 1 kind. Awesome feature. The service was great, they've got plenty of staff with food runners so the servers don't get behind and can tend to their customers, our server was on top of it. We ended up waiting quite a while and it was not because the restaurant was super busy because there have plenty of staff and a few empty tables. The restaurant it's great location. It's awesome. Zisters has taken a step up with the new menu it introduced earlier this year. I've been there several times over the last few months, and I've found the food and service to be very good. I've enjoyed a handful of items on the menu -- both breakfast and lunch -- and each time I've been impressed with what I've received, and my guests have been as well. My favorite is their Reuben sandwich. I think it's one of the best you can get in the metro area. They match all the ingredients so that they work together to create a terrific flavor. It's so good I've ordered it for breakfast the last time I went there with friends. The staff is competent and friendly, and the restaurant has a neat, relaxing decor. We were staying not far from here and their excellent yelp reviews lead us here. It is a cute place inside and the service was really good. So many things to choose from, my wife got the Benedict Flight (such a fun idea) It had one Ham, one Smoked Salmon and one Florentine. She liked them all, the only complaint was the Salmon was cold and it made that whole benedict cold. She also liked that she could sub greens for hash browns. I did the Carnivore bowl and if you read my reviews, I almost always get a bowl/skillet as its the maximum amount of hash browns and I always judge breakfast restaurants by their hash browns. Their hash browns were crispy and excellent. Everything was cooked well, eggs were perfectly cooked and they had really great toast. I've been here 4 or 5 times now and it's been amazing every. single. time. I've been making my way through their brunch menu and it's a go-to spot whenever I have visitors. Their portions are always GIGANTIC and I eat about 1/2-3/4 of my meal and always have leftovers. Great price especially for the portions. Some key favorites: Benedicts: highly recommend the flight where you can get all 3 types for the same price. Really love the florentine's red pepper hollandaise sauce. Chicken and waffles: I always worry about the chicken being dry but Zister's is great and I love the honey butter it comes with! Carnivore Bowl: this is such a massive portion I think i ate 1/3 of it and was stuffed, and then had it for two more meals. I haven't had the Herbivore bowl because I love my meat but my friend said it was super delicious as well. Breakfast Burger vs Sandwich: Have tried both and probably would say the burger is more filling/varied in flavor French Toast: got the flight to try them all! Not too sweet and I usually get it to share. Love to mix my sweet & savory Service is always so friendly and relatively quick. On the weekends in the summer, there's sometimes a DJ during brunch that plays in between the indoor/outdoor area. Located in the Sendik's lot so parking is always easy. read more

I chose the classic, florentine and corned beef benedicts and hands down, the corned beef was my favorite!! The flavor combination took the regular eggs benedict to next level. This is an excellent stop for brunch in the Brookfield area, and has a varied menu of brunch cocktails as well. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it was delicious, crispy, flavorful and just the right amount of heat. The real standout was the espresso martini which is easily the best I have had. Excellent food, excellent service, and great ambience. Every where we turned someone was smiling. I ordered the corned beef eggs Benedict. It had shredded Swiss cheese and sauerkraut on it like a Reuben sandwich. Corned beef is one of my favorite dishes to get when I'm out to eat, and this did not disappoint! The chicken was nice and spicy with the chicken and waffles. Everything was very fresh and delicious, and as you can see in the pictures, the serving sizes were massive. And to top it off, there was live music that was loud enough to enjoy but soft enough to still have a conversation.
