    Protein bowl

It's clear the EG area needs more good eats spots like this because it was popppppin! My friends and I waited roughly 30-40min to be seated, and service was definitely on the slow side, but again all this to say, they're clearly busy for a reason. I tired out their fresh green juice blend (apple, ginger celery, lemon, mint) and thought it was super tasty! Among my friends' orders were also mimosas and bloodies. One friend noted the great toppings on the bloody but wasn't the biggest fan of the mix itself. In either case, they have tons of drink options on the menu, from coffees and teas to cocktails and nitro NAs. Food wise, also a large selection! You'll find all the typical brunchy items here, from savory to sweet, plus bowls, salads, sammies, etc. I went with the protein bowl- right up my alley with the grilled chicken, hot honey, and cottage cheese! Flavor wise it was all good but boy was there way too much mix greens at the base. I'd low key prob request the bowl without it next time. Two friends got the hot honey chicken sandwich which looked so fire (and massive). They enjoyed. Another friend liked her benedict. Wouldn't call it a five-star experience, but certainly wouldn't write off returning here. I'd love to come back during patio season because theirs is massive!

The best part about this restaurant is the outdoor seating and the windows that open up while you're eating inside. So very good ambience. The food is OK. Every time I have gone, the service has been fantastic. This is a great place to go for brunch or go out for a glass of wine with friends.

Went Friday for dinner and had some drinks and shared a couple apps. The food was AMAZING (so flavorful and fresh) and our server Mariah was so nice and helpful! Highly recommend coming here for both breakfast and dinner and sitting outside when it's nice out :)

We have been long time brunch customers here (love the beignets), but decided to check out the new dinner service. Rolled in around 6 pm on a Wednesday and were seated quickly at a nice high top by the open garage-style windows. Lovely summer evening for an Aperol spritz. Allie greeted us warmly and provided attentive and friendly service. The food was just as delicious as we have come to expect - I loved my Mediterranean bowl with salmon, my wife's shrimp tacos were great (just the right spice level), and the kids menu was on point. Manager Katie also stopped by to check in, recognized us from past visits and chatted us up. Zisters has become a staple in the Village and this new dinner service is off to a great start!

I've been wanting to come here for some years now and finally got the chance two. Was perfect for a girls brunch, the scenery is cozy, lots of natural lighting. There's bar and table seating and it was easy to give my name and number and only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for 3 at what seemed like a busy time. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed how fluffy the French toast was and my mimosa was well balanced. My friends enjoyed their food as well. Their non breakfast/brunch foods looked very interesting as well, I'd love to visit again and try.

Looked forward to getting back to Zisters Sunday morning after a few months away. I was surprised to see they updated the interior, darkening many of the walls making it feel a bit moodier than needed for a business focusing on the brunch crowd. While it may not be my vibe, I do appreciate the fact they reinvest $$ to keep things fresh. Service was slower than it needed to be based on the number of people in the restaurant at the time. Maybe the servers were catching up on their busy weekends. The food was consistent as usual. I enjoyed the big burrito which is a newer item on the menu. They use their famous billionaires bacon in the burrito but its flavors were lost when combined with the ancho chili. The experience was positive and I will be back. Just hoping for more attentive service the next time

High end cafe in downtown Elm Grove. Service was great for this type of Cafe Nothing stood out in my opinion with regards to the menu I'd probably only come if someone recommended this restaurant for late breakfast or early lunch

Had a really great time here celebrating one of my colleagues recent professional accomplishments over brunch. The staff was extremely caring and attentive to all our needs (shoutout Ethan). We had made a reservation and they had our table ready for us right when we got there. The restaurant feels big and cozy all in one. They have a large outdoor patio I'm excited to check out once the weather permits. The food was great! I got their breakfast burger that had an interesting beef and chorizo mix patty that had a great char and slight kick to it. The fries and hash browns were also really good. I also had an espresso martini that was extremely tasty. I'm looking forward to coming back and exploring the rest of the menu!

Beer-mosa served by the best brunch bartender, Taylor. Oh, and the food is great too!

One of my wife and I's favorite spots! Its impossible to order wrong here. Went with the Ultimate Bloody Mary, corned beed hash and a few beer-mosas. Everything was superb.

Review #839 12.10.24 We came here to eat breakfast before heading to my brothers to visit on Saturday November the 23rd. Zisters is inside of a strip mall that had a great location. The inside is big with plenty of tables. My guess is with the food & drink options, and how modern it felt that this place is packed for breakfast on Saturdays/Sundays. It's a good idea to do what they do & have lunch & breakfast both available. I think we got there close to 12 & were able to still order breakfast items. I got a eggs benny, which they have a spin on it which I appreciated. The benny first off comes with 3, not 2, which is awesome. 2nd you pick which 3 you want instead of only having to get 1 kind. Awesome feature. The service was great, they've got plenty of staff with food runners so the servers don't get behind and can tend to their customers, our server was on top of it. Highly recommend.

Brunch for dayyyyys. Yummy cocktails too! Clean modern inside. The staff were so kind. This is always important to me, as I dine alone a lot. The service was very quick, too! SO MUCH FOOD. Portions are huge. Pricing is so reasonable too. Please visit!

The new menu is perfect. I love it. The food was so delicious. The service was ok. We ended up waiting quite a while and it was not because the restaurant was super busy because there have plenty of staff and a few empty tables. The restaurant it's great location. It's awesome. Everything looks nice and cleaned an area. The windows and the doors were open so that the fresh air can come through. Their bathroom is always clean and organize. I love meeting here for brunch with my friends. It's a perfect location with a wonderful menu and near different shops if you want to stay around and walk around the area

At one point, I worked as a restaurant and wine critic in NYC. One of my favorite restaurants,…read morecalled Dean Street Cafe, was located across the street from my apartment. They made a terrific burger with a slab of blue cheese topped with tart pickled red onions. But their signature dish, if you will, were the perfectly cooked handcut french fried they served with their burgers. The fries were long, expertly crispy and pillowy soft inside. The last fry was as crisp as the first. My brother, a chef from Ohio, came to visit once and I took him there. His eyes popped at the first fry he ate and exclaimed, "Damn, someone in the kitchen cares about potatoes!" That happened to me the first time I ate at Mimosa. I ordered an omelet with the house breakfast potatoes, which taste like they are slowly cooked in olive oil until fork tender and crispy on the edges. Easily some of the best potatoes I have had in MKE. Then I reached across the table and stole a handcut french fry from my daughter's plate. Late in the meal, the fry was still warm, brown and perfectly crispy. "Damn", I said, "Someone in the kitchen cares about potatoes!" Then disaster struck. The regular french fry cutter die must have broken in the kitchen, and now they cut the fries terribly thick like Lincoln Logs. Sure they're still beautifully brown, but because they are so think and have a higher moisture content to surface area they simply cannot get crispy enough. Within a minute of the hitting the table the logs of fries are soft and soggy, and no amount of fry time will help. If it were not for the great fry debacle, a story I have yet to confirm with the restaurant, Mimosa would easily be one of my few five-star restaurants in the MKE. The menu is large and offers something for everyone. Including many gluten-free and plant-based options for myself, old school corned beef and hash for my dad, terrific south of the border specials that my wife loves, and plenty for our kids. Sure the fries were once legendary (and I hope the chef will read this and order a replacement die for the fry cutter), but if you've made it this far in my review rest assured that every dish here taste like it is cooked by someone in the kitchen who cares about their craft, and the house potatoes are an (almost) fine substitute for what was once Milwaukee's best french fry.

I saw a picture of their breakfast burrito on social media and made plans to stop the next day. In addition to the breakfast burrito, which came with a side of hash browns, I ordered cheddar broccoli soup and was gifted a brownie for visiting. The breakfast burrito is build your own with a bunch of different options for meats, cheese, and veggies. I went with bacon, American cheese, and spinach and wasn't disappointed. The burrito was hefty and every one of the ingredients stood out. This is something I would definitely come back for. The three hash brown patties tasted as you'd expect and I appreciate that they weren't cold in the middle or bland. You can definitely notice the freshness in the soup. It was thick and used actual florets of broccoli, not just the stalks. Given the size of the burrito I had just eaten, though, I wish there was an option for a smaller portion of soup. The bowl was large and if you just plan on having that as a meal it's fine, but I would have preferred buying a cup as compared to a large bowl. Hopefully that's something they consider as a menu tweak. I'm not a big brownie person, but I enjoyed it. Like the burrito and the soup, it was a sizable portion, so worth the price if you're buying one. I'd be interested in trying their lemon bar or coffee cake on a future visit as those are more up my alley. I enjoyed talking to the woman who was prepping the dining area while I was there. She mentioned that Senor Luna's next door is their sister location and that Miss Daisy's has such early hours (currently 5am during the week) so as to cater to the nearby business park. I appreciate the early hours because I can easily make it there and back over to where I work in plenty of time.

We did, and we were seated almost immediately. From the minute we walked in the restaurant, everything was perfect. Hostess Heidi was lovely, our server Sara was amazing, and the food was incredible. My friend had the meatloaf, and crème brûlée for dessert. She said both were great. She's not a drinker, but did have a couple Shirley Temples, which were perfect. Their website has a popup on the home page saying it comes with fried haddock, potato pancakes, applesauce, and rye bread, but the popup doesn't list the price and it isn't available through the online ordering function. I ended up calling in an order to go, substituting wheat bread for the rye, and also added a piece of lemon ginger coffee cake. The lemon ginger coffee cake tasted fine, but man was it dry. Like Sahara Desert dry. Maybe this was an anomaly and their other baked goods are better, but I'd be hesitant to try them based on this coffee cake. Even though the website says the side is potato pancakes with applesauce, my fish fry came with fries. They ended up being the best part of the meal, which I certainly wasn't expecting. Still, I was disappointed cause I prefer potato pancakes and was given their inclusion as an expectation. The wheat bread itself was ok, but the butter was oddly unsalted. The fish, of which there was three pieces, was battered with a hint of beer, but like the butter for the bread there was no salt to speak of in the batter. As much as I didn't enjoy the unsalted butter for the bread, not having salt in the batter for the fish managed to be more unpleasant. Maybe Blue's Egg should just stick with serving breakfast items instead of adding something temporary that they clearly aren't pros at.
