The chocolate taste was rich and decadent while the jam on top was sweet but not cloyingly sweet. The fresh raspberries on top were not only a pretty decoration but each raspberry was perfect. We also tasted the cannele that were perfectly made with a hint of orange and a center that is not dry but moist and very enjoyable. We also tasted a strawberry and cream filled cream puff topped with chocolate. So light, fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this bakery to everyone.

I may or may not have eaten this entire pie by myself in one sitting…read more I finally decided to try the pies from the reno Saturday farmers market, and I do not regret it! What I do regret is not preordering another pie for next week! Although this is a home bakery, and I don't believe it has a store front, I think there are some local places to get the pies and you can order ahead. The baker (I forgot his name, Chris?) was the one selling and he told me all about his passion behind making a delicious pie with simple ingredients, and less sugar to really highlight the fruits. That's all I ever ask for in a baked good. And he did it well! His tip that really made it shine was to cover it with foil and heat it in the oven at 375 for 5-8 minutes. It even made our whole house smell like vanilla.

Its coupled with the semi sweet chocolate which for my palate is perfect. Full on milk chocolate would be too overwhelming IMHO. Its a small family run local business and has excellent customer service. They can be found locally at several grocery stores or at fairs and the like. Better yet they have a website that allows for super easy ordering. I'm not in the habit of making requests in reviews but I for one would love to see: Toffee with just the almonds Toffee with pistachios and lastly I throw down the gauntlet with some Honeycomb toffee!
