I booked a day at the spa for my friend's bachelorette party and we had a great time. The staff was friendly and extremely professional. None of us had been to a spa before and we all had a great time and felt relaxed and comfortable the entire time. The whole process from going back to the 'quiet room' to prepare ourselves for the spa experience to the thorough massage, the fun and delicious chocolate body wrap, the exfoliating and moisturizing facial, and the gel manicure. Not only did we have a great time because of the super friendly and professional staff, but the owner honored multiple groupon rates for the services, saving us money on our spa day package. This place is a absolute joke my mom went there today to get a manicure and a pedicure, a facial a scalp massage and a hand massage person failed to show up to give her the massage and for the pedicure all they did was put her feet in water and paint them. They didn't do nothing else and when she went to get the manicure, they wouldn't even put fake nails on her so she couldn't get that done either This place is an absolute joke. The manager is rude and hung up on her and also banned her from going back to the salon said that she was not welcome there no more. and then we had made a post on Facebook and. and one of the guys who work there saw the post and said that that was an absolute lie this place is absolute joke. I have only been for the spa services and was really pleased with the facial and massage I had here. The word 'ziyan' means beauty and I felt lovely after these services. I recommend Brandy as an aesthetician and Sergey as a massage therapist. Both were attentive, down to earth, and good at what they do. I do want to mention that you can hear loud music from the salon portion of the space, and that might be distracting with certain treatments. Ziyan should address this. read more

I could not wait to go to Ziyan as I've been looking and looking for a spa in the area to go to regularly. Unfortunately, it did not go well. 1- I was asked if I wanted wine when I arrived and then told there was no wine (which is part of what I liked about the spa when I booked). A few hours later another employee brought me wine. but it was at the end of my service so I didn't want to drink too much. 2- I was in a "quiet room" with employees running back and forth the whole time with dirty laundry, etc. Not relaxing. 3- I was picked up for my service 15 minutes late. Between my back-to-back services, I sat for 40 minutes in the "quiet room". 4- I was booked for a shampoo and style after my services, but the stylist called off sick and there was apparently no other stylist in the salon or spa who could do a 5 minute wash and some gel (I have very short hair). I less I agreed to make my facial 30 minutes v. 1 hr.Finally they had someone who cooks squeeze me in, but they didn't tell me I would have to wait over 2.5 hrs for them to do it. It was all very disappointing and definitely not worth thefew hundred dollars I was paying. read more

I was hosting a large group of girls (13) for a girls spa day on a Saturday. The staff I talked to on the phone to make reservations was so helpful and made it very simple. On the actual day the staff was very friendly and made the day so nice. The massage and facial were simply wonderful. The manicures and pedicures were good and it was so nice that multiple of us got to sit in the room and chat while we got pampered. They allowed us to bring food and drinks to the room we were hanging out in, and it help make the day even better. The environment was relaxing and clean. The staff were professional, talented, and so helpful. It was a great experience! 2 thumbs up! All the girls had a great time and we felt truly pampered. My only 'complaint' (and it's hardly a complaint) is the room they had us sitting in, in between our different services was pretty small and didn't have enough seating. WARNING: This review is going to be long, so grab a cup of coffee, slip into your sweats, and sit down and enjoy the read. Ok. I have very mixed feelings of my time spent at Ziyan. First let me get it off my chest - I will NEVER EVER UNDERSTAND a place that does any kind of bodywork or skin care and doesn't make their clients fill out any kind of health history forms.. I just can't believe it. This is the 2nd time I've been somewhere for a massage and wasn't required to come early or fill out any kind of paperwork.. I can't wrap my mind around it. It's unprofessional, it's dangerous, and it's irresponsible. There, I said it. To give the best recount of my experience, I'm going to go through how it went from start to finish. I booked an express (30 minute) facial, and a 90 minute massage. I got there 5 minutes early (I was told I didn't need to come early) and was told to wait and that someone would be out to get me shortly. I waited for 10 minutes before someone came and got me. A girl (I wont mention her name) stopped about 12 feet away from where I was sitting and asked if I was Jessica, and told me I could come with her. No hand shake and I'm not sure why she didn't approach me more or introduce herself, but whatever. So to get to the spa, you have to walk through the hair salon and through a door into a separate area that is designated as the spa. You walk through a dark hallway with treatment rooms on both sides. I still didn't know who this girl was or whether I was getting a massage or a facial at this time. She led me into a room and asked me twice if I had been here before and if I had ever had a facial before (Ah, I'm getting a facial!), and both times I answered her. So she instructed me on what to do and told me she would step out while I got on the table, that I should let the steamer do it's thing on my face while I waited and that she'd be back in a few minutes. I laid there for almost 10 minutes before she came back in.. I was almost ready to get up off the table to go find someone. Once she did come back, she gave a good facial.. it was nice and relaxing and I enjoyed it for the most part. Towards the end, she told me she was going to let whatever she just put on my face set for about 8 minutes, and she did.. I literally laid there for 8 minutes with NO contact at all..I have no idea what she was doing, if she was even still in the room.. nothing. I just laid there.. waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting.. again, ready to get up and go find someone! Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the spa was really nice.. the music and lighting were both reasonable, except that it was SO NOISY. Here's a list of things I could hear.. -Pop music playing in the hair salon (even though there was spa music playing in the room) -Water spraying (I assumed the hair washing stations were on the other side of the wall.. they were) -People talking LOUDLY -Doors slamming -Someone cleaning their hot stones (I work in a spa, I know the sound well) So basically, all of the noise and commotion made for a less than relaxing experience. Still, the facial was pretty good, other than the fact that we started late and I spent 8 of my 30 minutes just laying there. When we were finished, she left the room and told me I could get dressed and meet her at the front desk. So that's what I did, and when I got to the desk, the girl sitting there asked me who I was, and just as I told her, my massage therapist walked out and told me to follow him, again with no hand shake or formal introduction or anything.. back through the hair salon, back through the spa, down the hall, passed the room I just came from, and into his treatment room.......... seems to me like there's a more efficient, client-friendly way to go about moving from service to service. The fact that I had to get redressed, walk back out to the front desk, just to go BACK to where I just came from and get re-undressed.. it kind of ruins the relaxation I'm going for. Anyway, on to my massage. It was a good massage. In fact, it was really good. He took the time to ask me what areas I felt needed focused on, explained what I was supposed to do, and made it clear that I could tell him anytime I needed him to adjust something. So far, so good. So we got started, and he did a really good job. His pressure was good, his technique was good, and he did focus on what I mentioned before we started. At one point he was using hot stones which was an AWESOME touch, and he used hot towels as well which I also loved. The only thing I didnt love was that there were certain times when he just kept doing the same thing over.. and over.. and over.. and over.. and over............. and then over again. Don't get me wrong, what he was doing was good, but it was just too much of the same things for too long. Went for a haircut. Was told I didn't need a wash because my hair is healthy (that was the part I was looking forward to) but that was fine. I told the lady that I just wanted to trim the ends, didn't want to take off much length. So she Combed out my very long hair, cut off maybe an inch and handed me a mirror to look at it from the back. It looked like it did when I came in only combed out. And we were done. Didn't offer to flat iron it, style it, nothing. I was in the chair maybe 5 mins. I left feeling sad. Not a good experience at all. read more

I visited this salon for the first time on Wednesday August 27th 2014. It had been recommended to me by my aunt so I went in to get my hair trimmed. When I walked in my hair was to my waist. I told the stylist that they assigned me whose name was Summer that I wanted 3 to 4 inches taken off. I explained to her how it was very important that my hair not be cut too short because it is naturally curly. I told her very clearly that I wanted no more than 4 inches taken off my hair. She proceeded to cut over 11 inches off of my hair, when she was done my hair did not even come to my chin. She literally gave me a man's haircut. I left the salon in tears and at a complete loss as to why she would do this to me. The salon was nice enough to refund my money in the form of a credit on my account, but I will never use it because I will never go back to this place. I'm still in shock over what this person did to me, this is the worst haircut I have ever had and it will take months or maybe even years to grow back. If you decide to go to this place I recommend avoiding summer and being very clear with whom ever you do get exactly what you want done. Everytime I look in the mirror I burst into tears, she absolutely butchered my hair! I don't want to believe this was a malicious act but it seems that way considering I told her very specifically not to cut more than 4 inches off the length of my hair and she cut off over 11 inches. read more
