I've been a Burbank resident now for almost a year, and I enjoy looking for local coffee shops in the area. I've tried several attempts to try out San Marco Coffee, but their hours are a bit scattered. However, on one particular morning, I finally had the chance to try out their coffee. I ordered an iced latte for myself and a mocha latte for my partner. When I went inside, there was only one barista working the counter and preparing orders. I'm assuming that she is the owner of the coffee shop. She was really nice and attentive to the customers, but business was getting busy, and I felt a bit bad that she had to handle everything by herself. Overall, our drinks were alright but a bit run-down and watery, which is why I am taking away one star. I had to add extra creamer in mine to balance out the flavor. read more

This is my second review. I just love her coffee and her service. The owner is the sweetest woman and will make you exactly what you want. Her coffee beans are low acidity (which I learned today) and she really cares about her product. My go to is a hot or iced vanilla latte, less sweet (she'll ask if you want less or more sweet), and deliciously perfect every time. read more

I have been to many different coffee shops, in many different areas. This place is by far the best shop I have ever been to. Lucy is the best, she runs the shop on her own, roasts the beans on her own, and makes delicious coffee all on her own. This is the freshest, tastiest, and most impressive coffee shop around. San Marcos Coffee is easily one of my favorite local spots. The vibe is warm, inviting, and perfect for relaxing or getting a little work done. The coffee tastes fresh and high-quality, and you can tell they put real care into every drink they make. such a cute, little coffee shop in the heart of Burbank! They have so many options to choose from ranging from chocolate croissants, danishes, to exquisitely brewed coffee. My all time favorite is the iced hazelnut latte with almond milk. It is absolutely delicious and you can taste the quality in the espresso shots! I tried this cafe shop, and sad to report that the coffee is not great. I ordered a large latte, and I saw it being made. I expected the flavor to be good, however, I was severely disappointed. The coffee tasted bland, flavorless, and flat. Ultimately I tossed it after a few sips. The place looks cool and authentic, but the coffee sucked. Sadly I will not be coming back. 25 years in Business! Thank you and God Bless! Just finished a solid meeting at Castaway up the hill from San Marco and I was thinking let's celebrate with a Cafe Mocha. Behold San Marco Coffee Roasting that popped up a two minute drive away on the Yummy Yelp app. I was welcomed by the very kind and friendly owner, Vahan. He was finishing up with a customer and told me he would be right with me. Huge smile as he prepared the Cafe Mocha to stay. Just loved his energy and his degree of care. The Cafe Mocha with dark chocolate and beans that he roasts at just the right temperature, not burnt was phenomenal. You can taste the difference. Stellar!! Loved how honest and generous he is: a regular came in for his usual 3 lbs of coffee. Vahan had it in two bags instead of the three bags that the gentleman was used to. He asked Vahan about it. Vahan put the two bags on the scale and the weight was 3.38 lbs. A bonus, extra coffee; no, wait extra amazing and delicious coffee. What a guy!! Love the vibe in this small local business. Loved his interaction with all of his customers. They have a good selection of muffins, bagels, cookies, nuts and breakfast items. Open 6 days a week 7-5 M-F and 8-4 Saturday. Parking can be a bit scarce as there are limited spots in the lot that he shares with Gilbert's Cleaners and Apollo Char-Burger Grill. There is free street parking along Glen Oaks Blvd . Coffee is house blend she says it's a medium but it taste dark and burnt and they don't have Splenda only equal left she said they ran out and she just didn't have any more which I think is what happens at the smaller coffee shops read more

Usually a huge fan of roasteries, but this one let me down a bit. I ordered my usual, a large mocha and did not at all enjoy the chocolate powder they used. It had a very artificial protein powder type taste to it. The coffee itself would have been much better, not in a rush to return but if I did I would try something else next time. read more

Stopped here several times last week when I was in Burbank for business. They roast their beans right there and you can tell with the fresh taste. Given that the state of Kalifornia has all but shut down local businesses I try and make it a point to visit local businesses. The owner was extremely nice and thanked me for stopping in. I was in the area a couple days ago and decided to stop by and give this little coffee shop a go. I am so glad that I did. It is a small little mom and pop coffee shop that offers an amazing cup of coffee. The flavor of the brew was wonderful and definitely hit the spot on a cold morning. I enjoyed an Americano and my wife a Vanilla Latte. They were both amazing. Food selections are limited but we were there for the coffee so it was not an issue for us. The woman who served us was sweet, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. There is limited seating at a 3 stool counter inside and a couple of tables with a handful of chairs outside. There is ample parking in the lot so that did not seem to be any kind of issue. We will definitely be back again. It is well worth the stop and we will be back in the future. read more

Found this coffee shop months ago because I started making espresso at home. The owner roasts the coffee beans herself in-house (there is an awesome looking roaster right in the store). She's also super nice and knowledgeable about coffee! Definitely would recommend anyone to buy their freshly roasted coffee from here. read more

This is a small coffee shop, that serves coffee/espresso to your liking. Lucy is a true gem, after landing on what your after she ask's how you prefer your drink (level of sweetness, milk ratio..ect). I appreciate how she tailor-makes each order. I only wish she was open past 2pm. read more

Literally the best latte/coffee you could ever have! This Armenian nice lady roasts the coffee at the shop which I think is the first reason why the coffee tastes so fresh and good! First coffee spot here in California and I'm not disappointed. I went with a basic but one of my favorites, chai latte with soy milk. The chai here has a great taste to it, unlike what I've had before. The man working was super friendly and the small store front was packed with character. He had the roaster positioned out front so it was cool having it visible. This place is worth checking out, might be back before I leave. :-) read more

They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. If you need your beans grounded, they do grind it for you depending on your brewing method. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Mistakes happen, but there was absolutely no reason for the front employee to be so dismissive or condescending when I was simply trying to order something that their own Yelp listing indicated was available. Updating the DoorDash information would be a good start, and so would treating customers with a little more courtesy.

I visited midweek and there was no crowd. They have a very cool roaster inside the tiny shop. I tried the house blend, which was quite smooth. I will return next time I am in the area. read more

I feel like their coffee is good and the flavor syrups are decent! The workers were friendly and efficient and it seemed like a good vibes sort of place. I'd like to try their food next time!! They do have a food menu but I didn't grab a picture. Limited tables outside for seating, so this is a better grab and go spot. They do also give pup cups! Worth a stop in!

They have made this coffee shop a neighborhood favorite over the years and treat every customer like family! My Ice Cold Foam w/ Maple-Vanilla foam was on point! My friend got an ice coffee which she also loved. I highly recommend stopping here! They also have smoothies, chai tea, teas and really good food! The baked goods are amazing! There is signage on the sidewalk so you know you're at the right spot. It was just one person working but they did a great job at taking orders, making drinks, and keeping the line moving. There was definitely patrons coming in specifically for the drinks and taking it to go. There is a bit of seating available. Because it is a shared space, I think most people were keeping the volume low for anyone working. Not sure if that's the case when it's busier. The menu is all very tempting. We ended with a Cold Brew and a Sun Tropics Matcha. Cold Brew- delicious. It was definitely a favorite of my friend (who can be a bit of cold brew snob). Sun Tropics- omg. amazing. It's a mango, passion fruit matcha. I was worried that it would be too sweet but it was perfectly balanced. SO refreshing. And the flavors really came through without one overpowering the other. With summer and warmer days coming, this is easily going to be my new go-to. Our drinks were really great, it makes me excited to try the rest of the menu. They also gave us little flower doilies as coasters that we return at the end of our visit. Just a cute little detail.

While it's not necessarily my personal aesthetic, I appreciate their cutesy, Instagram-friendly, boho-inspired vibe. Between the frilly peach umbrellas outside and the neon magenta sign inside, you can feel the cool. But more importantly, the coffee delivers. We tried their signature Cinnamon Toast Crunch and an iced vanilla latte. Both were excellent, but there's a reason the Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a crowd-pleaser. Delicious. I could've had two. We're not always in this part of Burbank, but next time we are, we'll definitely be back.
