I love coming here for dinner! The food never disappoints and the staff is super friendly! If you come during truffle season I highly recommend their truffle pasta!! Everything they offer here is fresh and delicious from the cocktails to the dessert! The place itself is not big and when it's full it can be noisy but they offer outside seating! If you're a fan I pistachio I highly recommend their pistachio gelato as dessert!! You won't be disappointed

Typically I try and write my reviews pretty quickly after eating so I can remember everything I experienced. Unfortunately, it has taken me months to write this review, because I'm pretty sure I died and went to heaven for a while. Literally on the ride home after eating this meal, I hit up almost everybody that I knew and told them they had to come to this restaurant. I was raving about it for so long, that I completely forgot to write my review! Came to Zona Blu on a weekend between lunch and dinner. It wasn't insanely busy when we got there, but it was picking up really fast before we left. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the ambiance is nice and cozy. For an appetizer we got the soufflé al pecorino.... I just cannot. There are absolutely no words. Despite how rich it was, I could probably eat 50 of these in one sitting. It was absolutely divine. It was creamy, bursting with flavor, beautifully baked. If you love cheese this is a MUST have. For entrees we got the fiocchetti di ricotta e tartufo and the raviolo sardo. The raviolo sardo was good. It satisfied our hunger and was tasty. The pasta was cooked nicely, they were stuffed well, and the sauce had a nice hint of sweetness to it. Now the fiocchetti on the other hand? I was eating as slow as humanly possible to savor every bite...and I don't eat slowly. I finished my pasta eventually, and saw the table next to me order the same thing, and had to live vicariously through them to enjoy the dish again. I don't think I could ever risk getting something else on this menu, because the pasta was absolutely mind blowing. The perfect dish, not one thing should be changed. I was talking about it for literal weeks and had to stop myself from coming back because I was scared that I would empty my bank account ordering too much pasta. The service was incredibly friendly, almost felt like family. Attentive, conversational and kind, what more can you ask for? With the food we ordered and two soft drinks, the bill hovered around $85. For the quality of this meal, I would consider that a steal. Between the soufflé and the fiocchetta, if I was blindfolded, I would legitimately think that I was on a Mediterranean island in Italy. Will 100% be back.

My friends and I went to Zona Blu for a weekday lunch. Service was quick and our server was friendly and helpful with the menu items. It was pretty busy, but it was still pretty relaxed - not too noisy. The food was very good - fresh and flavorful. Plus the portions were good/ generous.

Lovely Sardinian restaurant in Weston! Four of us shared several starters including octopus, salumeria (selection of meats & cheese), and a margherita pizza. For entrees we ordered Salmon Al Moscato, Gamberini all Griglia, gnocchetti, and pasta made in the cheese wheel with truffles. Most of the food was excellent. The Salmon sounded a lot better than it actually was. No dessert as we had birthday cake at home. They had mentioned on the reservation that it was my husband's birthday, which was not acknowledged. Otherwise, the service was great and the food arrived almost too quickly for a leisurely meal. I recommend reservations as the place was packed by the time we left.

Made reservations for Mother's Day dinner. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking. We noticed that there were quite a few outside tables - all of which were filled. We were seated about 5 minutes after checking in. The inside is relatively small and the tables were packed very close together. I'm not sure if this is their normal since this was our first time there, but I was seated about 7 inches away from the back of the person beside me. For starters we ordered the calamari. I really had high hopes for this place because our calamari appetizer was delicious. The calamari was seasoned well and the zucchini pieces mixed in were delicious. They were also seasoned and fried perfectly. For entrees we ordered the lasagna, the risotto with seafood and the short rib with fettuccine. The risotto was not good. The risotto was like a paella rice than what risotto is supposed to be. The short rib was cold in places. Flavor was good but the dish was cold. The lasagna was good. For desert we ordered the apple desert and the pistachio gelato. The Apple desert was ok but the pistachio gelato was delicious. However, for $15 I would have expected at least 2 scoops of the gelato. The average dish is about $35. The short rib was $55 and the risotto was $45. Given the prices there is an expectation as to the quality of what we will be eating. I spent about $240 with tip and it was not worth it. I won't be back.

    Seafood pasta with pesto

The service was exceptional. The atmosphere transports you to being in their region of cuisine. Very Italian/ Mediterranean. The wine selection is great and reasonably priced. The food was delicious and savory. My wife had a lobster filled ravioli that was cooked perfectly. I ordered a seafood pasta with pesto. Although the flavor was refreshing, it was over sauced. It over powered the simplicity of the dish to enjoy all the seafood components.

I just love this place! The staff for me is always good. I let them take the wheel on guiding me with what I should get to eat because all the food is great here! Tonight I had the Pecorino Soufflé. A delicious cheese soufflé with a truffle Alfredo type of sauce with it. Super rich and just Devine! I had my server choose my entree. First before telling you what I got, I want to preface when you buy a meal at this location, please forego the pizza on the 1st visit if you can. I say this not because the pizza is not good- quite the opposite, the pizza is exquisite here!- but rather because there are just so many interesting items on the menu to try that are more unique in my opinion. Now, for my dinner I got the Ferrari pizza which was topped with burrata and quanciole (sp?), and truffles. So good! My server complimented each of my Meals with some wonderful Sardinian wines. My only not so favorite thing tonite was normally they have patio seating, but that was not an option that evening. And the weather right now is gorgeous for Al fresco. So inside the ambiance is Italian Seaside Cafe sort of? Just like Parisian cafes, the tables here are also very close together. Of course I will be back! One of my favs and I always recommend to everyone looking for good Italian fare!

I politely asked if the seasoning could simply be left off due to an allergy, and my request was refused. Rather than accommodating a simple dietary restriction, I was told that the dish wouldn't taste the way the chef intended. While I understand wanting to preserve the intended flavor, customer health and safety should come first--especially when dealing with allergies. I find it concerning that no effort was made to accommodate a reasonable request or even ask about the severity of the allergy. In today's restaurant industry, flexibility and customer care are important. Unfortunately, I found the service to be very unaccommodating, and given the high prices, I expected much better. I ordered a pisco sour that was perfectly made. My appetizer was a fish and shrimp ceviche: the leche de Tigre was soooo fresh and well balanced, I absolutely loved it. Main course I was pleasantly surprised to see there was an option of a plate with half tallarines verdes and half lomo saltado (the menu says "steak" and you can choose how you'd want it); I've never seen this kind of split-a-plate before so I thought I'd be perfect because you get to try two things, it's a great value. Both the tallarines and the lomo were flavorful. I just wished there was some way to keep the juices from the lomo away from the tallarines because at the bottom of the plate the pasta tasted like lomo, not like pesto hahaha -still, yummy-. Against by best judgement and my capacity I ordered dessert and the dulce de leche was a little too sweet for me (I couldn't finish it) but I ordered a coffee too, that helped. The staff was on point; I loved they were always checking on us (and the place was almost full) and I also noticed they use intercoms so they are always making each other aware of what a table needs. The owner (or manager, not sure) is very sweet and greeting all customers. The bar service seems to be tons of fun, I noticed a few couples having drinks and enjoying the evening. The music was 80s-90s: I truly enjoyed it. I definitely will be coming back. I recommend!

Both visits were for birthdays---the first was mine, when I happened to mention to our server that we were celebrating my birthday and she helped make the experience great. She then exclaimed, "You should have told me it was your birthday! We'll give you a dessert. Would you like to take it home?" Which I did, and the Seven Layer Chocolate Cake was thoroughly enjoyed for breakfast on two different days. I still can't get over the fudge layers in the sponge sandwiched by a light, creamy chocolate mousse. The plated cake was much cuter and better dressed with surrounding raspberry sauce instead of it being in a takeout cup, but the divine tastes of that cake are unchanged. Seeing that the majority of their locations are in the north, with the southernmost locations before Florida being Virginia and South Carolina, I feel lucky that we have a location in South Florida (and a second in Boca Raton). The hostesses are friendly, as well as the servers, and each one asks about allergies in the party. I saw on their website that they have a commitment to accommodating food allergies and a protocol for communicating allergies to the staff and kitchen. The most recent visit started with us repeating allergies to our server after telling our hostess, as he wasn't informed of them. It never hurts to confirm that everyone is on the same page but it was a little odd. I'm not sure what those purple allergy cards are supposed to do if they're not written on. However, like I mentioned, they are really serious about food allergies. When we were placing orders, our server would tell us whether there were allergens in the dishes we mentioned. Our server during my first visit even went back to the kitchen to check whether there were eggs in a sauce that were in one of the dishes we were interested in, without being asked. The inside is clean, beautiful and well lit, and the bar is spacious with plenty of screens if you're able to make it in for their happy hour at the bar from 3-6 PM on Mondays-Fridays. We had the guacamole and chips ($9), which had a surprisingly generous portion of genuine guacamole to the point where we ate all of the white and blue tortilla chips that came with it. I asked our bartender if we could get more chips by any chance, and another bartender heard and went straight to the kitchen and came out with a bowl of warmed tortilla chips. I had an Old Fashioned, which was slightly sweeter than I'm used to, but still having great citrus aromas. I recommend having a cocktail on happy hour as they are typically $15-17 on the regular menu while they are $10 during happy hour. For dinner during my second visit, we were seated in a lounge appearing area to the left of the entrance with long couches for the booth seats and an unfinished cut of wood table. Let me tell you about the food before I run out of space! Bread service: I know it's weird to have to pay for bread, but that's the restaurant world we live in. It's worth the $5 to get warm, fluffy bread dressed with everything seasoning and coming with herbed butter, pesto and an olive tapenade, all a choose-your-own-bread-adventure sampler. You can tell nothing on the plate came out of a jar. Philly cheesesteak rolls: Everyone can eat all 3 of the rolls that come in this dish along with the crispy onion rings that come on top of them. Resist the urge and share the tender beef and gooey cheese inside of these rolls. NY strip: Tender, well grilled and seasoned, accompanied by tasty green beans and mashed potatoes made with just the right amount of butter where you taste more potato than butter or cream. Crab crusted haddock: A generous portion of flaky, slightly buttery haddock with an aromatic crab cake on top. We loved the jasmine rice that came with it, from the degree of cooked to a little oil covering. Lobster roll: It was a summer limited item until August 31, and I'm sorry to say it was perfectly buttered, toasted and brimming with plump lobster meat. You were able to get it cold with a cole slaw, but a hot roll is definitely the move. Did I convince you to go try their food? If not, read this again. I'll see you there.

They had a 2-for-1 drink special, and the waitress was friendly and helpful. She let us know we didn't have to order the same drinks for the deal, which was nice. I ordered a passion fruit margarita, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all. More tart than sweet. I didn't love the flavor, but I will say the bartender was definitely not stingy with the liquor. My friend ordered a Bahama Mama and had no complaints. I'm not a big seafood person, but I do love wings, and that's where Crafty Crab won me over. I ordered the 10 piece sweet chili wings, all flats, for $10.99, which alone is enough to bring me back. The wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friends also enjoyed their lemon pepper wings and drinks. We originally came because we heard they used to have karaoke on Thursdays, which would have been perfect for the size of the venue. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn't know why they stopped. That's unfortunate because this place has so much potential. It's a large venue with good wings and cheap drinks, they're really just missing a vibe. Even playing music through the speakers would make a huge difference. Overall, I'd return for the wings and drink specials, but I hope they bring some energy back to the space. Based on this experience l'd give it a 3.5
