Here's what you can expect at Zona Blue! When I asked for a cup of hot water WITHOUT lemon, it arrived, WITH lemon. I was trying to avoid the potential human fecal or raw meat and poultry in lemon, but it was not to be. I asked the server what was included in the "prawns and vegetables", he told me it was potatoes and vegetables. Huh??? I moved on to another menu item. When we asked four different staff members for a cup of tea, they told us that they did not serve "tea". When we asked the fifth one, he brought the assortment of teabags. (They did offer complimentary tea after the five requests). When the server did a satisfaction check, he said "If there's a problem, tell me now--NOT AT THE END! (He repeated) NOT AT THE END! I have travelled to and dined in restaurants in more than 60 countries and I have never been warned "NOT AT THE END!" When the salad came, the fresh pear was devoid of sweetness--nowhere near sweet! I sent it back. My meal was bread and hot water! Before you go to Zona Blue, make sure that you are not hungry, prepare to endure servers who can neither listen nor read the menu, and best of all, prepare for the "NOT AT THE END" double warning when the server checks to see if you need "anything else"! read more

Service was ok not great. Food ordered was over powered with black truffle too much. Tiramisu was tasteless and ambiance was ruined due to pressure cleaning being done outside. Until we complained staff at restaurant did nothing. We got wet as a result and until we got up staff hadn't reacted and no manager on site. First visit to restaurant and probably will not return as the experience lacked what I was expecting based on the reviews. read more

Highly disappointed in the food. Service was kind of slow even for a weekday but the food isn't fresh as they portray themselves to be. I ordered a Ossubuco ravioli based on a picture posted here and the description and in my pic you can tell it's not the same. We wanted to try Zona Blu for some time since we live nearby. My mother is from Italy and typically we don't go to eat out Italian (she's a great cook and super critical of Italian dishes whenever she eats out so I prefer taking her elsewhere). She was excited when I suggested we try this place and emphasized how the food from Sardenia is a fond memory of hers. We were very pleased with the service, our waitress Stella was great, and everything we ate was delicious. We had a delicious endive & pear salad which I recommend you try. Delicious and authentic! We went on a Saturday evening and boy was it bustling! Every table was taken, the food was flying out of the kitchen and every dish looked better than the next. Our waiter Yari, a real Sardinian, was knowledgeable friendly an efficient. I loved my papardelle ossebucco and my husband had a deliciouss oscebucco ravioli. I'm super bummed out about this review. So me an my husband made reservations for a table for four. And when we got there on time, we had to wait 25 minutes or more to be seated. And it was just us waiting, while there was an outside table that seated 4 was available. The hostess had no idea that table was even available. Service was the worst. The head waiter took his time to come over to our table, he actually took on orders to other tables that came before us and also was kinder to them. He didn't ask us if we wanted more wine after we finished a bottle (the bottle serves about three glasses). Mind you. I work in the service industry. I've dined in reputable 5star restaurants and grew up on a please and thank you bedside manner upbringing and to see his behavior towards my family I can't seem to understand how someone like that be in a service job. We tipped accordingly to the experience. The food runners were actually kinder and more approachable. The food, however was fantastic. It's quite disappointing that the structure of a restaurant is crumbling while they have amazing chefs producing amazing plates on staff. read more

The most authentic Italian food I think I've ever had in the United States. The staff is very nice and caring and the food is cooked to perfection. We have been twice and have yet to have something we don't like or have a bad experience. We I'll continue to be going. Food is wonderful at this little spot in Weston. Healthy, tasty and many Sardinian dishes which I had never tried before. The grilled octopus appetizer was delicious. I've been wanting to try this place place for a long time, and now that I live fairly close I decided it was time. They serve an array of fresh, authentic, and unique Italian dishes. The Gnocchi di Patate con Fonduta is to die for. It is heavenly. It's so cheesy and creamy. They serve the gnocchi in green, white, and red pieces. I have been craving this dish since the day after I ate it. The grilled octopus was also fantastic. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, my family members weren't satisfied with their dishes. They ordered the lasagna, a grilled chicken dish, and a pasta dish. I don't remember the exact names. The restaurant was very loud. I don't know if it's the design or layout of the restaurant but it was extremely noisy. Also, we waited awhile to order our drinks and food. They also served the gelato frozen. Which was weird because we waited awhile for it to arrive (maybe they were trying to get it to thaw a little). We had to dig into it rather aggressively to eat it. The gelato at the bottom of the glass was hard as a rock so we couldn't finish it. I'm giving 4 stars because the gnocchi was life changing. You have to try it! I seriously want to spend good money and have a solid dinner experience. We made a reservation at 7 were seated at the bar - the owner came to seat us shortly after. We were sat at a rather small table - we asked to have a bigger table and we're told no- the larger tables are for four people or more. My husband is 6'4 and over 250 lbs. Sitting comfortably at a small table is not possible. The owner didn't care that we left - even though there was a four top behind us the whole time unoccupied . I am so disappointed that people can turn away good clients as we will never go back - they lost a solid client - just looking for a restaurant that has good food- and good service ! We would be life long clients. Now- I won't walk back in there- we get that you might be busy - as I hope it stays that way - appreciate the locals that will frequent often read more

This review is based on amenities since the food was OK (sort of). When we walked in, it was difficult for my wife (uses a walker due to upcoming knee replacement) to get to a table because of the proximity of the tables to each other. Getting out was almost impossible once the restaurant was crowded. Many folks had to get up from their seats so my wife could leave the restaurant. The restaurant has too many tables for it interior size. This leads me to the second point that the noise level is deafening. There were 5 of us at a rectangular table and we found ourselves repeating things several times so we could understand each other. The server had a hard time with English. Luckily one of our party spoke Spanish so the server could understand we were asking for peppers. My meal came ( filet Mignon, which was tasty) and I asked for it without potatoes but with vegetables. When it was served it was served with potatoes and salad, once again, the server had a hard time with English or maybe he just couldn't hear due to the noise level) . I asked the server to take it back and replace the potatoes with vegetables and when he brought it back, it had more salad and still no vegetables. This was a one shot for me, too loud, I didn't get what I wanted to eat and the over crowding for access to the tables made it unpleasant. The fact that people are sitting on top of one another made it even more of an unpleasant evening. read more

We've been here a couple of times and I definitely wanted to like it a lot better. First off the restaurant itself is nice - it's not a big place but it has a nice bright interior that is decorated nicely and is very inviting. The service here is also a big plus. Both times we have been the servers have actually been Italian which adds to the atmosphere. They serve only beer & wine here although the wine list is pretty robust. I like the Poretti #6 amber so no booze wasn't a biggie. The issue is that the food here is kind of hit or miss. The first time we came for lunch the Branzino special was out of this world. The kids also loved the very original french fry pizza (who wouldn't). However we recently came for dinner and we had a mixed bag of quality. We started with the grilled octopus which was absolutely immense. This could have easily been an entree. It was accompanied by olives, arugula, giant capers, and tomatoes. Unfortunately this was the best dish of the night. I ordered the Branzino off the menu and it was extremely dry and bland with a hint of propane taste. It really could have used a sauce - perhaps that is what made our lunch special so much better as it came in a lemon sauce. Definitely a disappointment for $38! My wife had the giant prawns and they were extremely fishy. I like this place enough to give it another shot, perhaps I'll try a meat and cheese plate and their homemade pasta next time as they look good. read more

We had several appetizers and then we had the raviolis with the lobster inside and the pasta that they mix inside the Parmesan cheese. I'm not from this area so I don't know many local spots, so I wasn't sure what to expect when we decided to go here. This is tucked away in a quiet part of Weston and if you're lingering the area you must go! The food was remarkable, I had the Ravioli Osobucco paired with a Cab and fell in love. The experience and overall joy we had the best people tend to us and was the cherry on top of the icing of the cake. Pascual(sorry if I spelled that wrong) was amazing and told us all about Sardinia and even shared stories with us and Kevin the bartender was so polite and an amazing person! I would certainly recommend this spot, if you're a local I'm sure it's a must go to place. And if you're not you need look no further this is the spot! Great place and I'm glad I could have dinner here with my family and friends who became like family! Growing up my Nonno would always make pasta from scratch and we would create all types of pastas for various uses and I grew up with the notion that a pasta should be cooked al dente and they made it perfect enough to have a softer texture but a bit maintaining texture when biting into the pasta. I am a Weston local and had never been here. Decided to give it a try for lunch since it was recommended by a friend. Upon getting seated, I noticed ants all over the table. Not a big deal. This is Florida. We did however kill about 10 ants during the course of our meal. We started with the caprese salad from their lunch menu. Tomatoes were refrigerator cold. I prefer my tomatoes to be room temperature. There was nothing special about the salad. I ordered the gnocchi di patate and my husband ordered their signature stuffed pizza. My gnocchi was bland and missing something. Perhaps some greens. It was lacking texture. My husband's stuffed pizza was nothing special. Something we could've easily made at home.
