Me and a friend decided to eat something "Authentic" as he mentioned that the Zone Blu name comes from the concept of "Blue Zone" locations in the world where the food is made fresh natural and also known for people living over a 100 years like in the city of Sardinia , which actually runs in a video at the restaurant too. The first item we ordered was the Soufflé Al Pecorino which was a pricey starter but had a wonderful surprise hidden . It has a Michelin star restaurant style feel to it. It has a potato ring at the top and a mushroom in Truffle butter sauce ! It just for one person, so you'll be fighting if you share . Must have dish ! For main course I wanted to taste the pesto sauce at the restaurant before I ordered the server recommended dish which was the "Fiocchetti di Ricotta e Tartufo" . My personal flavor profile for the pesto, I like more nutty and garlicky taste, and the pesto at the store was more refined. So I went with Fiocchetti di Ricotta e Tartufo. This dish Fiocchetti di Ricotta e Tartufo was a work of art! It had small gift bag type packets of ravioli that were glistening with the truffle and mushroom sauce and was just amazing ! By the end though, I couldn't eat a couple of the raviolis , but still swooped up all the sauce My friend a meat eater ordered the Lobster ravioli which he loved to bits . One interesting observation was the was that the waiting staff was super professional , literally off the boat type Italians who knew the depth of the cooking process and the ingredients extremely well ! This made the experience so much more authentic ! If you love authentic Italian, then this should be your go to ! This is one of our go to places for Italian. So fresh and delicious. Their pecorino souffle is amazing, as is their margarita pizza and calamari. My husband always gets their spaghetti al cartoccio which is a huge seafood pasta dish served in a clay pot with their freshly baked pizza dough over it (it's so delicious). I always get their veal black truffle mushroom ravioli. Their cacio e Pepe pasta that they make table side is also a hit. Definitely one of our favorite places that we keep going back to. read more

What a pleasant surprise it was to discover a regional Italian restaurant smack dab in the middle of suburban Weston. I want one in Reno SO BADLY! When my parents recommended Zona Blu for our anniversary dinner, I wasn't sure what to expect. "Italian" generally doesn't get me going because it makes me think of dishes blanketed in heavy sauces and thick layers of cheese, when in reality, Italian food is often quite light and delicate. Looking over the menu and great photos on Yelp, I immediately realized this was the latter and my excitement peaked! Zona Blu is actually a Sardinian restaurant. Sardinia is the small island off the coast of Italy that "the boot" is kicking. The cuisine bears similarities to that found on the Italian mainland, but being surrounded on all sides by water means they love seafood AND have developed their many things that are uniquely their own. Bottarga, or salt cured mullet roe from Italy, is an ingredient I don't often see on menus, and their Spaghetti a la Bottarga immediately caught my eye. I love simple pasta dishes because there's nothing muddying up the flavors and no way to hide flaws, leaving the pasta and accompanying ingredients to shine bright. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente, the bottarga brought in a beautiful briny ocean flavor, and the light sauce (if you can even call it that) brought it all together. There were a few other dishes that caught my attention including the Al Cartoccio (pasta and seafood baked beneath a layer of homemade pizza dough) and the Fregola (a regional pasta that resembles a small pearl, served studded with seafood and cooked in an aromatic seafood stock), both of which I'd never seen in a restaurant before. The menu also had some bold protein options and the rack of lamb was a contender too. For dessert we enjoyed the house made pistachio semifreddo. Semifreddo means half frozen, so the "ice cream" has a custardy consistency and the fresh pistachio dusted over top added a nice texture. Perfect end to the meal. The server pointed this dessert out, steering us away from the tartufos in favor of the house made option! Lastly the wine... There's a wall of it and MANY are extremely affordable. Our serve steered us toward a great bottle under $50 which we LOVED. Best of all, you can cork your bottle and take what's left with you at the end! Zona Blu deserves every bit of praise the love of the locals that filled the dining room. I wish I had a Zona Blu near me. Absolutely fantastic! read more

And when was mentioned that it was my birthday, he brushed it off and asked if we wanted the check. While I wasn't expecting anything, a simple birthday wish would have been nice. Overall 3.5 Location is lovely it's outside it's in the shopping mall but it's pretty and we were able to eat outside which was great because the inside was crowded. The server took a little while to get to us, but not the end of the world. Overall, the service was adequate. We both ordered the seabass, asparagus (my dining partner sub'd green beans) and mushrooms. The food was brought out quickly and was piping hot. The bass was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. What a terrific ding experience. We were meeting family at the halfway point between North Palm Beach and Naples and decided on Zona Blu. The reviews were good, we love Italian food and there was outdoor seating. It checked all the boxes so we made a reservation for six of us. Our server was wonderful. The water glass and bread basket always full. Specialty cocktails? Yes, a few of us ordered a crazy pineapple drink and they loved it. All juices are made fresh on premises. We all ordered something different. Pork chops, salmon, chicken parm, lasagna, gnocchi and lobster ravioli. All wonderful. Tasty and the home made pastas were fabulous. Dessert, yes. We had pistachio tartufo, vanilla tartufo and Nutella pizza. Take the time, make a reservation and enjoy a fabulous dinner. The place is packed! After hearing positive reviews on this place, I decided to come check it out for lunch. We were early, right around 1130, so it was quiet. They have some nice lunch deals, but I opted for the Arresina salad which was Belgian endive tossed with pear, walnut, and gorgonzola served with a Sardinian honey mustard dressing. It was really good!!! My friend and I also split the Margherita pizza which I was quite impressed with. Delicious!! I will definitely be back for dinner as I want to try the pastas and the dessert. Wow that was a great meal! We got the zone blue salad, a calamari carpaccio and Spaghetti al Cartoccio, a seafood a pasta covered with thin crust pizza dough. It all hit the spot! Returned for another fabulous dinner. The special of the evening was roasted rack of lamb nestled in spinach sauteed with garlic. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and it perfectly complemented the spinach that it was served with. As with our previous visit, the staff was so accommodating and always ready to please the customers. They are so attentive, and we never had to get their attention to ask for anything. This is truly an inviting and pleasant experience for a restaurant. The food is outstanding, and the service is equally great. I have a hard time understanding some of the bad reviews because the friends with whom I visited the restaurant frequently dine there and never have a complaint about the food or the service.
