    Crunchy beef tacos
    Matthew T.

This was my third time at this restaurant. The service was great and very friendly. Had the guac and chips. The chips were homemade and tasted great. We got the crunchy tacos. They were good but a bit too greasy for my taste. The carnitas tasted perfect with a nice flavor. We also had the Apollo enchiladas and the sauce was perfect. I will definitely come back again. I wish they allowed mixing and matching of tacos because that would have been even better. Everything was timed really well.

Good apres bike riding spot for lunch. They offer indoor, sidewalk, and curbside seating. We elected to eat on the sidewalk to people watch and enjoy the day. Service is great and our food arrived exactly as ordered. They were very generous with the guacamole and chips! The tacos I ordered for my entree were a good size with great taste and texture.

We came here on a Sunday evening to have dinner and a cocktail. It was absolutely lovely sitting outside. They have a covered area and a few uncovered tables. We were attended to immediately after sitting down. I ordered the Chimichurri hangar steak tacos. So good! I also had a vodka soda. They have so many varieties of tacos, can't wait to go back. Mind you there is only street parking. If you go around near the plaza and post office, you're sure to find parking.

Zona Rosa has gotten much better over the years bc I actually used to dislike it. I love their smoked cashew dip & shrimp tacos. Our waitress was really nice and the ambiance is great for going out with the girls. A great place for dinner & drinks. For those complaining about price for just "tacos" consider that this is an upscale Mexican spot and not a taco truck, it's nice to have upscale ethnic spots and Mexican food is not equivalent to cheap food. They are buying nice ingredients, the purple corn tortillas are clearly homemade, and the sauces are also homemade.

Great place for more authentic Mexican cuisine especially tacos. Everything is made fresh. Tried the 5 taco platter to share and the hangar steak was the best. Had a horchata, esquitas and everything was great. Friendly and enjoyable service.

The Bacon Guacamole and chips Is sooo delicioso!

Walked around town Looking for a place to eat at stumbled Across this place while looking for a quick bite and drink. I've lived in LG for over 20yrs and never been here. So regret it now!. The food was amazing! I have dairy allergies and the crunchy tacos were amazing! Service was super excellent, everyone is very welcoming. It's a cute little restaurant and will definitely be my go too now!

I would give it a 3.5 if possible. Ambiance is great as the decor indoor is cute but outdoor seating on a good day is also very nice. Service is mediocre for me because both waitress and waiter were very nice and informative. The waitress provided us with recommendations and gave us information about dishes. However, it took forever for all of the dishes to come out. . Didn't seem like the restaurant was particularly bustling so service was pretty slow for what it was. The dishes were pretty good but nothing that blew me out of the park. I feel like I've been to similar restaurants with better portions and same flavor for less. Disclaimed: The tacos came in two. You have to order an extra if you want more.

Great food but it took 45 minutes to get our tacos. Mistakes happen but absolutely no effort for recovery. Unacceptable.

We've tried their fish, carnitas, and birria tacos - all of which were amazing, though the birria and fish tacos were the clear standouts. The mango paired with the crispy fish is a true winner & you can't beat the ultimate comfort food of the birria taco. The presentation of the food is also stunning, with dishes served beautifully on black slate plates and mini cast-iron pans. I have to give a special shout-out to the chef: this is officially the only restaurant where I have actually finished the accompanying sides of refried beans and rice. They were absolutely outstanding! If you haven't been to Hercules yet, it is a must-visit. Don't miss out on their great drinks either--the hibiscus margarita is highly recommended!

We started with the queso fundido which was smaller than I expected but very good! For entrees we tried the quesabirria and fish tacos. The birria taco may have been my favorite bite! Delicious!! The enchiladas trio was also well executed. Tried the TJ Caesar Salad, the tamales and the chips and guac. The guac was another star, but the tamales were probably my next favorite bite. I would recommend trying 1 of each of the flavors. All were good and the sweet corn tamale was a surprise hit!! Would definitely come back here again!

As always the place was clean, and the staff was friendly, and the food wasn't gross or anything, but it was completely lacking in any flavor. I mean the shredded beef had ZERO spice to it. It used to be just right. The guacamole and pico were also super bland. I mean I am talking I was worried I'd come down with COVID when we left, because nothing tasted seasoned or spicy. (I checked, I was fine and healthy) It was well cooked, the plate was well arranged, it looked like it had been prepared with care, but there just no flavor to it. So I am sad that what used to be the best shredded beef chimichanga, is no longer any good. The prices seemed to have gone up (which I get is just a thing that is happening now, because of you know) but we liked them enough that that would not have stopped us coming back if the food had literally had any spice to it at all. But for what they are charging now, I need the food to taste like what it should.

The ladies who work at this restaurant are all very nice and they tolerate me sitting with my headphones and laptop, never begrudging me refills on coffee. I once ordered the Caldo and it was a nice experience and generously portioned, but it isn't good study food! I love to order Sopes and a large side of refried beans here. The Sopes are really nicely presented and delicious, piled high with pico de gallo, avocado, sour cream and cotija on top of the beans and meat. So good! I ordered the vegetable enchiladas suizas here once. They were ok, but I like spicier enchiladas. This restaurant has pretty solid and authentic food and wonderful service. I am a regular customer and I only hope that I tip them well enough to compensate them for the table time and coffee refills!

I came here for the yelp event and I got the Teleferic Sangria and the Barceloneta Sangria. Both had a great presentation and tasted great as well. I preferred the Barceloneta Sangria more for the fruiter flavors. The Patatas Bravas was one of my favorite appetizers of the night! I loved the sauce and texture of the potatoes, and the bowl it came in was super cute. I also tried their Crab Croquetas, Wagyu Empanadas, Brussels, and Iberico Paella. Everything was great! I especially loved the pork belly in the paella. The pork chop was also super flavorful and juicy. Overall, it was a great dish and a great experience that changed my mind about paellas. I tried the Palo Alto location awhile ago and did not enjoy it, so I'm glad this location made all the difference. I would actually go again!
