The Bacon Guacamole and chips Is sooo delicioso!

Walked around town Looking for a place to eat at stumbled Across this place while looking for a quick bite and drink. I've lived in LG for over 20yrs and never been here. So regret it now!. The food was amazing! I have dairy allergies and the crunchy tacos were amazing! Service was super excellent, everyone is very welcoming. It's a cute little restaurant and will definitely be my go too now!

Good apres bike riding spot for lunch. They offer indoor, sidewalk, and curbside seating. We elected to eat on the sidewalk to people watch and enjoy the day. Service is great and our food arrived exactly as ordered. They were very generous with the guacamole and chips! The tacos I ordered for my entree were a good size with great taste and texture.

We came here on a Sunday evening to have dinner and a cocktail. It was absolutely lovely sitting outside. They have a covered area and a few uncovered tables. We were attended to immediately after sitting down. I ordered the Chimichurri hangar steak tacos. So good! I also had a vodka soda. They have so many varieties of tacos, can't wait to go back. Mind you there is only street parking. If you go around near the plaza and post office, you're sure to find parking.

Zona Rosa has gotten much better over the years bc I actually used to dislike it. I love their smoked cashew dip & shrimp tacos. Our waitress was really nice and the ambiance is great for going out with the girls. A great place for dinner & drinks. For those complaining about price for just "tacos" consider that this is an upscale Mexican spot and not a taco truck, it's nice to have upscale ethnic spots and Mexican food is not equivalent to cheap food. They are buying nice ingredients, the purple corn tortillas are clearly homemade, and the sauces are also homemade.

Great place for more authentic Mexican cuisine especially tacos. Everything is made fresh. Tried the 5 taco platter to share and the hangar steak was the best. Had a horchata, esquitas and everything was great. Friendly and enjoyable service.

I would give it a 3.5 if possible. Ambiance is great as the decor indoor is cute but outdoor seating on a good day is also very nice. Service is mediocre for me because both waitress and waiter were very nice and informative. The waitress provided us with recommendations and gave us information about dishes. However, it took forever for all of the dishes to come out. . Didn't seem like the restaurant was particularly bustling so service was pretty slow for what it was. The dishes were pretty good but nothing that blew me out of the park. I feel like I've been to similar restaurants with better portions and same flavor for less. Disclaimed: The tacos came in two. You have to order an extra if you want more.

We had a nice meal sampling lots of different things. Ceviche, goat cheese app and taco platter. Loved most everything and the fresh chips and shells.

Enchiladas De Suiza

Stopped by for breakfast while in the area. The restaurant was bright inside with natural lightning to provide a welcoming atmosphere. The server was very friendly and helped clarify questions I had about the menu. I ordered the Enchiladas Suiza which had tons of flavor and was the right portion size. Ordered the chips and guacamole with pistachios and bacon added on. It's a game changer for the dip and gives it a nice twist.

The food simply good. If you're craving great Mexican food this is the spot. The tacos use fresh blue corn tortillas and a variety of fresh ingredients. The guacamole is outstanding. The table favorite was the crab ceviche tostadas. Simple delicious. Service was great.

The ambiance here is great- it's fun and lively and modern. The service was really good for how understaffed the restaurant was. There was only one server- with every table inside full and one outside- that's 11 tables. So we had to wait a good while to be greeted. But the server was hustling and he was on it after that. The food was good but nothing great. The enchiladas and fish taco were lacking in depth of flavor BUT the salsas from the tres salsa we ordered as an appetizer brought everything up a notch. Highly recommend getting the tres salsas as a starter to snack on and enhance your main course. We even mixed all three salsas together and it was really tasty. The perfect margarita definitely hit the spot. It was beautiful and tasted great. The candied orange slice was also a sweet treat. Yum!

We've tried their fish, carnitas, and birria tacos - all of which were amazing, though the birria and fish tacos were the clear standouts. The mango paired with the crispy fish is a true winner & you can't beat the ultimate comfort food of the birria taco. The presentation of the food is also stunning, with dishes served beautifully on black slate plates and mini cast-iron pans. I have to give a special shout-out to the chef: this is officially the only restaurant where I have actually finished the accompanying sides of refried beans and rice. They were absolutely outstanding! If you haven't been to Hercules yet, it is a must-visit. Don't miss out on their great drinks either--the hibiscus margarita is highly recommended!

We started with the queso fundido which was smaller than I expected but very good! For entrees we tried the quesabirria and fish tacos. The birria taco may have been my favorite bite! Delicious!! The enchiladas trio was also well executed. Tried the TJ Caesar Salad, the tamales and the chips and guac. The guac was another star, but the tamales were probably my next favorite bite. I would recommend trying 1 of each of the flavors. All were good and the sweet corn tamale was a surprise hit!! Would definitely come back here again!

The interior has a beautiful Tulum-inspired vibe that's modern, bright, and perfect for a date night or catching up with friends. The service was also excellent--everyone was welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. The food was fresh and the drinks were good, but nothing really stood out or made me want to come back for a full meal. It was also a bit pricey for what you get, especially considering the quality. With so many amazing and more authentic Mexican restaurants around the San Jose area, this one just didn't leave a lasting impression. That said, I'd definitely come back for appetizers and cocktails with a group of girlfriends. The ambiance and drinks make it a fun spot to hang out, even if I wouldn't choose it as my go-to for Mexican food.

They give complimentary chips with this green sauce that's spicy but so good. The chips are so thin and crispy and perfectly salted, it's like my favorite chips ever. I usually get their carne asada tacos but you can't go wrong with any of the proteins. The pastor one and seabass ones are some of my other favs. I typically get 1 super taco and 2 regular tacos and that's filling enough for me. I like the super taco because it comes with avocado and pico! It also comes with cheese and beans whereas the normal one only comes with cilantro and onion. I usually ask for no beans tho. We've also tried the steak nachos before too, and while they are good, I probably wouldn't get them again because it's chips overload after already eating the complimentary chips. I've also tried the caesar salad with chicken before, and it's solid but you're probably not coming to a mexican spot to eat a caesar salad. The service is pretty quick too which is nice.

They brought my drink along with a small plate containing just a few chips and some salsa. Not a basket of chips, just a handful on a plate. When the nachos arrived, they were covered in a sauce that I wasn't expecting, and unfortunately it made the chips soggy. The chicken also had a spice blend that tasted off to me and wasn't very enjoyable. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food and didn't find anything that would make me want to return and try something else.

The ladies who work at this restaurant are all very nice and they tolerate me sitting with my headphones and laptop, never begrudging me refills on coffee. I once ordered the Caldo and it was a nice experience and generously portioned, but it isn't good study food! I love to order Sopes and a large side of refried beans here. The Sopes are really nicely presented and delicious, piled high with pico de gallo, avocado, sour cream and cotija on top of the beans and meat. So good! I ordered the vegetable enchiladas suizas here once. They were ok, but I like spicier enchiladas. This restaurant has pretty solid and authentic food and wonderful service. As always the place was clean, and the staff was friendly, and the food wasn't gross or anything, but it was completely lacking in any flavor. I mean the shredded beef had ZERO spice to it. It used to be just right. The guacamole and pico were also super bland. I mean I am talking I was worried I'd come down with COVID when we left, because nothing tasted seasoned or spicy. (I checked, I was fine and healthy) It was well cooked, the plate was well arranged, it looked like it had been prepared with care, but there just no flavor to it. So I am sad that what used to be the best shredded beef chimichanga, is no longer any good. The prices seemed to have gone up (which I get is just a thing that is happening now, because of you know) but we liked them enough that that would not have stopped us coming back if the food had literally had any spice to it at all. But for what they are charging now, I need the food to taste like what it should.
