What a find! Meredith was such a joy to work with! I have never had a photographer go out of their way and take the extra time to fix your out of place strand of hair, or pivot your body every so slightly to make the shot JUST right. She had the daunting task of capturing photos of 4 adults and 7 kids on the beach at dinnertime and did it with laughter, patience and speed. The final results were stunning. I would highly recommend Meredith and Zoom Theory! We travelled to California for a last minute baby moon and decided to see if we could do a maternity session. I was so happy with how responsive Meredith was and that she was able to squeeze us into a busy week. We were impressed with the options she offered for different packages to find what suited our time and budget best. We had an exceptional experience with Zoom Theory for our engagement and wedding photos!. Our engagement photo shoot included multiple downtown LA locations - Meredith had no problem with this and in fact got totally excited about our idea of doing a session at a baseball stadium. She was so good at keeping us relaxed even though we were taking photos in public places - she kept our attention and deflected others effortlessly and suddenly we would be done and moving on. She was also constantly looking out for opportunities to spontaneously capture a great shot. For the wedding, Meredith worked with us to put together a well thought out plan for the day and played a key role throughout the execution of our wedding. We were blown away by how well she did directing our large families including getting several young children to look at the camera and smile when needed. Several of our guests made a point to compliment Meredith on her work with the guests. The photos that Meredith and Amanda produced for us reflected the level of artistry and texture that attracted us to Zoom Theory in the first place. We also worked with Amanda to produce a very cool photobook by choosing among several templates, selecting photos, and customizing whatever we wanted after reviewing the proofs. Where to begin?! I love Zoom Theory & their whole team! My husband & I first spoke to Meredith (lead photographer) via FaceTime as our meet & greet. At the time, we were in the process meeting with & talking to several other vendors. She took time out of her weekend schedule to answer all our questions, etc. Right off the bat, we had good vibes from her. We decided to go with Zoom Theory & couldn't be happier. Fast forward about 8 months later & we're finally meeting in person for our engagement photo shoot. Highly recommend doing one for 2 reasons: 1) get to know & be comfortable with your photographer 2) get comfortable taking photos & posing with your fiancée. Meredith has a such a bubbly, fun yet professional personality & she's so efficient at taking photos. She made us feel super comfortable when we truly felt awkward & knew the best spots to take photos. Fast forward another 7 months to our wedding day (yes, we had a long engagement). Meredith was on time (huge plus on the day of, trust!) with her team of 2 other shooters. Prior to our big day, we had a phone convo about "must have" shots, first look ideas, & important family photos. Day of, it all went flawlessly! Even when we ran into minor set backs, Meredith handled it with ease & professionalism. Her positive attitude & personality helped calm me down, tbh! (There were A LOT of pictures to get taken). She was SO efficient with time! You could tell she's been doing this for awhile. We used Zoom Theory for our family photos at Terranea and they were absolutely amazing! The photos are beyond incredible, we love all 375 of them and our biggest challenge is not wanting to print all of them! In addition to the amazing photos Meredith was seriously a magician! She was so good with our children, and was able to get incredible shots of our group of 14 and all different variations of the families in less than an hour. It was truly the best experience we have ever had with a photographer and she was also incredibly affordable, which most of the other vendors weren't able to do smaller packages for family photos rather just large wedding packages. Also, we own all of our images, so often we have left with needing to then pay for each image and only having a few to be able to put in albums or re-print or post digitally. I arrived early to my scheduled appointment time (I'm early wherever I go) and Meredith was already there waiting. She met my little toy fox terrier (Minnie) and I'm sure she realized we were a handful.
