We went here for brunch around 11:30am on a Sunday and there was no wait. Loved the coffee cake as a starter to share. Brunch is reasonably priced. Loved the chicken wrap. I'm still at 3.5 stars. I have always been a fan of Zov's for brunch, so decided to hold a party in one of their smaller rooms for a more special evening with a few friends. It was wonderful! The waiter was attentive and seemed to anticipate our needs, food was superb from the mezzo plate to the chocolate bomb and timing of every course was perfect. The seabass was cooked perfectly with a wonderful flavor, and the filets were raved about too. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the privacy of the smaller room, and the non-rushed and attentive service. Got a mini gift box as wedding favors. Sweets are the best gifts. Who wants another mug with your name engraved on it, as a wedding favor? Inside it were 3 kinds of cookies (choc chip, choc oatmeal, sugar with caramel i think). The cookies were yummy, but not Dee-Dee Reese good. And they were too soft for my taste. Not bad at all though. Now, had i bought those myself, i probably wouldn't have said the same. Also came in the box were 2 cupcakes/ muffins. They were a cross of cupcake (the consistency), and muffins (the lack of icing and more crumb-y tops). I was intrigued by these. One was blueberry with crumble, and the other was some chocolate chip cupffin (cupcake muffin haha) and topped with delicious crumbs, and drizzled with chocolate. Went to Zov's Bakery for breakfast with a friend. I had the oatmeal creme brulee and it was yummy! The oatmeal was smooth and creamy with plump golden raisins. The oatmeal was toped with light brulee topping that added a nice sweetness. Take-out: The fruit tart, chocolate bomb and lentil soup....ALL were good! I will definitely be back :-) read more

It is a shame that the cafe and the bistro are listed separately on Yelp as they are really two sides of the same place. Know that if you are going to one, you are going to both, and that the food is great either way. My family and I have been to Zov's several times now, and we keep going back because it is a great experience every time. The food is amazing. Try the Grilled Lamb Shishlik if you like lamb, and bring an appetite. The mixed drinks are also excellent, as is the service. The wait staff is friendly, striking up a conversation and checking to make sure everything is OK. It always is anyway. We've never had to make a reservation, but to be fair, we've never gone during a weekend evening. Parking can be a little tight as there are several busy restaurants in the same shopping center, but this is California folks - park in a remote spot and walk a little. Zov's should be fine for kids, just be aware that they don't really have a kids menu. That being said, they'll make something if you ask for it. My daughter asked for a piece of plain salmon (no sauces or spices) and some veggies, and they made it without complaint, and she loved it. Zov's can be on the pricey side, so maybe it's not an "every night" place for those on a budget. That being said, the portions are good and the quality and service are excellent, so you are getting your money's worth I hope. read more

kinda disappointing that they don't list the calories on the meals. And if you email them asking you also don't get a response. So i opted for the chicken mashed potatoes and spinach. I asked how many calories and i was told 350-400. Are you kidding me? A half a chicken is not that low in calories and especially with mashed potatoes. You should really start listening this for your customers. If it weren't for a work event I would have eaten elsewhere but when its work related you don't have much of a choice, you should at least let customers know what are the healthiest options on your menu. read more

I have frequented Zovs for 10 years as a local and it is consistently hit and miss - due to the poor service. I've learned by now to not order takeout from them as the food quality nose dives big time. Last night dining on the patio was another miss. Waitress, Rebecca, seemed pleasant at first. When we asked for rolls after 10 minutes she became a different person. We hadn't eaten all day so we were looking forward to fresh hot rolls. They came with our dinner 20 minutes later. I had to walk back to the kitchen to ask for a spoon to eat my soup with. She handed to me with total indifference. I'm over you Zovs. read more

Today's experience was as delicious as the last...food is always interesting and well presented...two comments It's too dang hot to sit out at the front patio - if you're going at lunch, sit inside. I hate sweating while trying to enjoy my meal...(not to mention it's pretty loud out there!) And where's the bread basket? I could have sworn a basket is served with the meal. Would have been nice to have a roll with the salad. Everything else is Tustin is a chain (although Zito's across the parking lot is yummy and Belcan Grille has a great cocktail menu) so having Zov's in our backyard is special treat. I have to say the veggie omelette was amazing !! Omelettes everywhere tend to taste someone similar but this omelette was one of the better omelettes I've eaten was absolutely delicious. The mezze platter was really good too. You have to get the olives they are delicious and the desserts are to die for so don't eat too much which is hard when the food is so good but definitely get dessert. One star is an overstatement for this restaurant and franchise. If I could give zero stars, I would. This restaurant wants to be a five star restaurant so bad but falls short of even living up to the standards of ihop. The management is terrible, they are stuck-up, rude, and incompetent. One of the main managers, rob, is a spineless, arrogant excuse of a man. I over heard a manager speaking to their employee, belittling and demeaning them all because of a minor mistake. Service was perfect and the manageress came over twice to check on us. The Seared salmon salad was surprisingly good but the real star of the menu is the chocolate, creme brulee bomb thing. Its unbelievably good. However the white chocolate raspberry, peanut butter crunch is simply sensory overload. And the food is as good or better that before. Love this place, especially out on the eastside patio. Both sides of this wonderful restaurant are fabulous. I have been going there for many years. Zov's in Tustin has been our "go to" restaurant for years. The food was always consistently good. However, during our last three visits we have noticed that the quality of the food has changed. A couple months ago I ordered the Salmon which had a claret sauce. Unfortunately the Salmon was drowning in the red wine sauce and so soaked in it that after a couple small bites I sent it back and did not order anything else. I would have been charged for it had I not said anything but they reluctantly took it off our bill. The next time, we were there with 10 friends and not being very hungry I ordered vegetarian and it was OK but several of my friends had similar complaints about the excess sauce! . One guest did not eat her steak due to the massive amount of wine sauce! So tonight my husband and I decided to try Zov's one more time, because it is convenient and we have had such good experiences in the past. I ordered the scallops which came under cooked and cool in the center so I sent them back and the plate was returned with them more done but the plate had a huge circle of sauce around it . The scallops were tasteless and the sauce tasted like paste. My husband ordered the steak which had a pepper sauce, instead of putting the steak on top of the pepper sauce the sauce was poured all over the top in excess! My husband said the steak was tasty but would have enjoyed it more without all the sauce. I think at this point we nee to find some other "go to" until Aov replaces it current chief! read more

What a prefect breakfast served by a well trained staff. The moment I walked in, it was perfect. Greeted instanty, seated instantly, and order taken just in time.
