I received great customer service. Unfortunately even though the food was hot and fresh, I was not a huge fan of the taste. I wanted to give this place a try after seeing a pamphlet on my door but it's just not for me. Also they advertise 2$ delivery but it's really 5$ plus depending on where you live. I can see that other customers love this business and I'm still rooting for them!

    Shrimp fried rice

Sometimes I think that take out places need a separate rating system from normal restaurants, so I 'm giving extra stars. Z's is likely the best Chinese take out place in the Carrollton area. We had the shrimp fried rice. A tad bit greasy and bland, and the rice needed a few extra minutes in the steamer, but the flavor was good, and a lot of shrimp was in the dish. Also, we had the sweet and sour chicken. Good sized pieces of white meat, and properly cooked, I wish there had been some vegetables present. The real star was the honey seared chicken. Great flavor, and a nice texture as well. The place itself is very small, with a seating capacity of 18. Additionally, the young man at the front desk seemed a bit disinterested, though the chef was very friendly and smiling. Finally, the food was cooked very promptly, much faster than other places in the area. All in all, I'd like to try some additional items from their menu. It may become our new go to place for Chinese.

This was a mistake. Stick to Panda. Ordered Kung Pao and Hot/Spicy Chicken, fried wontons and sugar biscuits. Not sure why, but the chicken was really strange in both dishes. Pieced really small and texture was off-putting to say the least. The fried wonton was stuffed with pork(I'm assuming), it was also not good- I chewed on what felt like a coin of rubber. Ate maybe 1/3, then both of us felt nauseous and experienced severe indigestion the hours following. The sugar biscuits were great.

Just happened upon this place in Castle Hills. No frills restaurant but the food was fantastic! I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix dish. Very tasty and flavors were great. Portion size was plentiful.

Delivery cashew chicken. Didn't skimp on the cashews!

A local Chinese-ish place that delivers - not a bad little discovery. Per a friend's recommendation, ordered from here recently. Not perfect, but overall very tasty. They said it'd take about 45 min for delivery, so... not super fast, but okay. It was closer to an hour when the food arrived. The delivery dude did a cute little bow when I opened the door (seemed legit, honestly - I had to smile in appreciation) and he was very friendly. Food was still hot when we opened it up. I got the cashew chicken, medium spicy, and he got ... Hunan pork, I want to say. Nice little containers for delivery - sealed plastic, not styrofoam. Will reuse nicely. First thing I notice about mine is it's packed with cashews. Sweet. Next thing I notice is red pepper flakes. Excellent - my medium spicy wasn't forgotten or ignored. I combine the rice with my dish and tuck in. Perfect medium spicy and veggies are cooked perfectly. Chicken itself is decently good - not perfect. Rice is pretty good - not amazing. Flavor of everything / sauce is good, but it does have the fast food Chinese undertone - not like a clean Thai cashew chicken dish. It was heavier and sweeter. After going in starving, I was full after half of my meal. And it sat heavy. Long story short: delicious - but fast-food Chinese heavy for sure. I'll enjoy this from time to time because of convenient delivery and excellent value for a LOT of tasty food, but my normal go-to Asian is typically healthier than this. I ate too much and regretted it, and I literally only ate half my meal.

Consistently good takeout and is convenient. The Crispy chicken is the best! Just the right amount of sweet and heat.

As we were waiting, we noticed that 4-5 tables were done eating and paid their bills. All got up and left, the staff quickly cleaned the tables. The cleaned tables were empty for another 15 minutes. The lady that took our names down took a while to call the next customers. Seems like we were waiting just to wait...she sat one party down and waited another 10 minute to sit the next group... anyways, after we waited for a good 40 minutes, we were finally called to be seated. Sat down and was immediately served with water and took our order down. Time for the food review: Chicken popcorn - nice crisp and texture, but lacking flavor. Felt like it needed a dipping sauce. Pork lard rice - disappointing, bland Pork intestine with green mustard - this dish was okay.. Crispy garlic salted fish - fish was nicely fried and flavor was good. Probably the best dish so far Crispy pork chop - this is the reason why we came here.. we wanted to find a dish like May Ice cream. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The pork chop was extremely salted. From the skin to the pork itself. Walnut shrimp - this dish was foul. Who puts sprinkles on the side?! Tasted like I was eating an ice cream shop. The shrimp was also dry. Overall, not worth going and waiting. Food was lacking.

Came during the soft opening in September 2025 with excited expectations based on what we've heard, hoping to find a new go to Taiwanese spot. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for. I admit this was the soft opening and things may improve, and for their sake I hope they do. Biggest issues for us were lack of flavor in the meat and multiple proteins being overcooked. The sauces they used had the flavor but it seems like the meat just wasn't given the time to marinate because the meat itself was bland. That coupled with proteins being a bit dry from being overcooked and you don't have a good combo. If they can tweak their prep process to let the meat marinate then it would solve most of the problems though. The best dish was the fried pork chop rice by far. A bit on the sweeter side so it just depends on how you like it. The bok choy it came with was basically raw though had more crunch than the pork chop. Service was also a mixed bag. The server was super nice and helped give us recs but it just seemed like they were still getting the hang of working in a restaurant. A glass of water got some food in it so the server took it away but they never brought us a new one. Again, soft opening so I give that some grace, but food has to be more on point for a new restaurant to make it. So all in all, there are definitely some kinks to work through for them. Normally I wouldn't write a review for soft opening but given that there are old reviews here plus food quality missed the mark more than I think it should've, I think people on Yelp should get a heads up.
