We went here for lunch after spending the morning at the beach. I was intrigued by the South African vibe and it's conveniently located on the road out of town. They open at 11; we got there at 11:30 when there was only one other group dining, and we watched the place fill up. The food and drinks were perfect for our beach day. We had the Lekker Spread with two items and it was really nice that it included fresh vegetables to snack on. It was more food than we expected, so we ended up taking our entrees to go (conveniently served in to-go boxes anyway) and they were delicious later too. Their salad was gigantic and very filling. I was impressed that they offer all their sandwiches as lettuce wraps. The staff were exceptionally friendly! Clean bathrooms, free parking. Will definitely return. read more

Food is great if the meal is served hot. Waiter forgot the drinks we ordered. All of the food we ordered did not come out at once. They had 1 server for about 30 people and 1 person working the bar. O the new tip suggestion for these place is at check out is 22%, 26% and 28%. The waiter makes sure to watch what you select for a tip on the screen to instead of privacy. Redeemed my birthday meal the other day aswell and for a free birthday meal, it cost me $6.88 to get it because of the tip the server "expects". read more

I saw on Bring Fido that this was a pet friendly place to eat. Boy was that an understatement. We took our 2 dogs there and they were greeted by not only the wait staff but also guests. It's an amazing place. I had the conquistador and it was amazing. My wife got chips (which were homemade and had cheese on the with amazing sauces. Facility was like outdoors or inside a quaint tiki bar. Emily was amazing with her service and attention. The service was extremely slow despite there being few tables. We ordered the Slaap chips with chicken, the fisherman's deck, the godfather, and the booty roll. All 5 of us agreed that the Slaap chips was the only meal any of us would order again as they are delicious minus the special sauce. Their special sauce was not something any of our family liked. I would suggest simply asking for the sauce on the side. All of our meals came at a different time delivered by someone other than our server. All but one meal was delivered, we had to ask our server about my youngest daughter's meal and our server didn't even realize that we didn't have that meal. We were told that they had a delay with the sausage. However, our son had sausage on his sandwich. We waited for another 15 minutes and asked for it to go. All of us had eaten and were waiting yet still on the missing meal. It did not feel like the server tried to make things right. We were given a token for a BOGO drink or sandwich if we came back. No option for a discount on her meal was given to us. After receiving the bill, we noticed a charge for a Shit yeah! Promise. This had to have been a joke since only one of us liked our food and our daughter had to take hers home. Their signature chips are very good, but overall a disappointing meal while on vacation! Found this in yelp after getting into town about 9pm on a Sunday. The service was fast and friendly. The food was great. I had chicken wings with chutney (on the side) and ranch. The wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with great flavor. The chutney was a great combination of sweet and tang. The chips were awesome - use the dank sauce. My wife had the Bird Island Sandwich. She loved it. The sauce was great and contrasted well with the chicken and French bread. Would love to return sometime for the live music. read more

This place always has such great music, available seating, and are over the top dog friendly ( which we love ) they even provide treats and water bowls for your pooch. The food was great as well, which makes up for the slightly steep price. I HIGHLY recommend the Gaby's Green Salad ( I like to add chicken) they have almost like a spicy ranch that it comes with and it's so good. Not to mention their tea. We enjoyed the BEST margarita we had of our entire trip (5 days in Hilton Head, 3 days in Savannah), we enjoyed 3 dips (peri-peri cheese (YUM), Guacamole & Hummus with pita bread), then we split the conquistador and everything was SOOOOOOOOO good. The zunzi chips, amazing. This place is a must try, even if it's just for a margarita. read more
