Visited twice in 2025, solid 3.5 overall. Menu and food are "ok" -- not great, not bad either; drinks are good (no draft beer), service can be hit or miss. I enjoyed the side salad, spicy salmon roll, and short ribs. Tight dining room seating makes it easy to hear every neighboring tables' convos. Gender specific restrooms onsite; typical Town Center parking.

We loved this place, it's small with good vibes, my husband loves sushi and said it tasted very good quality and fresh. He got their pink lady and hot mama special rolls and they were both beautiful and yummy, we ordered more of those at the end. The other apps were also good, noodles and beef were my favorite, bibimbap was 10/10 as well. Service was great everyone was friendly especially towards my baby. Will definitely come back and recommended to friends already. Thanks chef!

The interior was beautiful and I loved the dining layout. No reservation but just had a short wait. The server was okay, the weird thing was she kept touching our chopsticks to move the plates from everyone at the table. She even took the paper off my chopsticks before the food came. I'm not a germaphobe but me and my friends found it weird. The squid legs were great and tasted fresh. The sushi was average but tasted fine.

It's been a while but not much has changed. Zushi is still the best sushi place in HR and it's not debatable.

Not sure if it's an off day but the shrimp tempura roll and the gringo roll I got (salmon was fish of the day) left much to desire - rice was dry and had an aftertaste like it wasn't fresh. The gringo roll was underwhelming with no taste of salmon. Even my friend said her order was okay. Wish I could have given more stars... Service was the saving grace - friendly and attentive staff!

Zushi Bistro has been on my list of restaurants to visit for years so we decided to head there for a Date Night on Friday night. We arrived at 7:30pm and the hostess asked if we had reservations. I was unaware that reservations were highly encouraged. The hostess mentioned that the restaurant was full and we were okay with leaving since we didn't have a reservation but she mentioned that a few people at the bar were leaving and we would be able to be seated in about 10 mins. Once we were seated, we were quickly given menus to look over. Unfortunately, it took a little while for the waiter to assist us and ask our order but I assumed it was because it was a busy night. I decided to start with the Zushi Soup but I also ordered the Mt. Trashmore Roll and the Spicy Ocean Roll while my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Yakisoba and the Philly Roll. The Yakisoba and the Soup arrived about 20 mins after we ordered it and oh my goodness, the Yakisoba was delicious!!! The stir fried noodles were coated in a slightly sweet sauce, the vegetables were sautéed perfectly and the chicken was very flavorful. The broth in the Zushi Soup lacked a flavor and tasted as if it had been sitting out all day but the chicken and pork dumplings in the soup were great. About 10 mins later, the Rolls were served. The Philly Roll was good but tasted like a typical Philly Roll. The Mt. Trashmore Roll was very good and I enjoyed the salmon that was placed on top. My favorite was the Spicy Ocean Roll, it was everything I thought it would be and more. The Roll consisted of salmon sashimi over spicy tuna and crab topped with eel sauce and spicy mayo! I highly recommend it!!! Overall, we had a pretty good experience at Zushi. Our waiter didn't check on us very often which was disappointing but the food was delicious and I will definitely be returning, with a reservation lol.

Nice ambience... our server was great! Everything was delicious! Everyone seemed very happy with their order. The unagi roll i ordered was one of the best eel i've had! It was amazing!

The first time we entered Zushi we were immediately impressed with the nicely appointed, handsome and tranquil setting. We visited Zushi on two occasions and both times we were very impressed by the quality of the sushi. We've been sushi devotees since the 1980s and this restaurant is definitely in the top three. We had yellowtail, tuna, eel avocado, Fujimaki and salmon skin rolls. All were extremely fresh and unusually flavorful. The octopus nigiri was delicious. Also, what they call the "egg omelette" was moist and beautifully prepared. Next time we will sit at the sushi bar to admire the work of a masters, sushi chef. The only sour note was the Gyoza appetizer. They were tiny, oily, and without much flavor. This was surprising. We tried the green tea and red bean mochi ice cream served with toothpicks, and they were very flavorful and sweet. Looking around the handsome room we admired the amazing entrées and sashimi. The service on both occasions was friendly, helpful, and professional. This is a very special restaurant in Virginia Beach Town Center.

Yes but definitely with the money as the quality is very high!

Does this place have quail eggs? Essential for my choice of sushi place.

Yes, I ordered Ikura with quail egg, it was fresh and tasty. If you are looking to add quail egg to your sushi order I would highly recommend them. I cannot remember the price but overall I don't remember the bill being too crazy even with two…

The dining area inside is small, but it can still accommodate maybe one big group. There's also outdoor seating available. We came for an early dinner on a weekday, and it started getting busy pretty quickly. They were able to accommodate our large party inside since we had little kids with us, though we did have to split into two tables. Since we had small kids, the menu doesn't really cater much to them aside from the fried rice, but they were able to make a non-spicy version upon request. Our tab came out to a little over $340. Overall, this place was just okay for us.

That being said, I ordered from Sushi Vice. I'm not hating it. Before I placed my order with DoorDash, I actually called the restaurant and requested that they include cups of soy sauce and chopsticks, etc., because I was staying in the hotel. I only did this because if you order off DoorDash's menu, you cannot include Notes to the restaurant. It's ridiculous. With all that being said, I could not believe it when my order arrived it was exactly as I requested. It's not really a sushi joint. It's more of an Asian fusion type place and they have a very limited menu, but what they do have is very, very good. I highly recommend trying that beef fried rice thing. I've included a picture of it. It was freaking awesome. You won't be disappointed, but I would strongly suggest going to the restaurant and you'll probably even have a better meal. The next time I'm in Virginia Beach, which is quite often I'll probably just drop in to the restaurant myself.

We decided to give Saruki Japanese Hibachi a try on a weeknight and were seated after only about a five-minute wait. One thing we really enjoyed was having the hibachi table to ourselves. Unlike many hibachi experiences where you're seated with other parties, it was just my family, which made for a more relaxed dinner. Our chef was entertaining without being over the top, and the cooking was done well. The steak and scallops were both cooked perfectly, which we appreciated. The meal came with the standard vegetables, although we noticed there were no bean sprouts, which are common at many hibachi restaurants in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. We also missed the traditional dipping sauces that usually accompany hibachi meals. Instead, we were served a mayo-based sauce that wasn't really to our taste. The staff was happy to provide Sriracha when requested, which helped. Service was decent, and the food was good overall. However, with restaurant prices being what they are today, the experience didn't quite stand out enough for us to make a return visit. It wasn't a bad meal by any means--just one that ultimately felt a bit forgettable. This version comes across as fair and constructive while still explaining why you likely won't be back.
