Came here for dinner on valentines weekend and it was a great choice! The inside is super cute and vibey. We did the dinner for 2 for $40 pp, which includes the baked oyster, French onion soup, risotto, beef bourguignon, and beignets which I thought was a really good deal. My favorite tho was definitely the smoked salmon soup. So much flavor and just tasted sooo good, you have to try it! The risotto was really tasty too. Also the beignets came out warm and were fried to the perfect fryness and exceeded my expectations. Overall would definitely recommend as a place to celebrate a special occasion, or just go out for a nice meal!

Second visit here. Spot on! Great service. Great ambience. We left somewhere else to come here! So glad we did!

We had the most lovely and amazing meal and drinks at Épernay! We have had the Moules & Frites, French onion soup and baked Brie! The Moules are out of this world and better than any and ALL the ones we have had in France! The baked Brie was amazing! As new residents to Los Gatos we tried this hidden gem on Sunday and then had to return for more deliciousness the following Thursday! The owners and hosts, Adam & Diovanni are charming and will cater to your every need. We are hooked and you will be as well once you enter their taste of France here in Los Gatos! Can't wait to head back and continue our epicurean journey back to France! Thank you! ( btw... loved the Kir Royale & Champagne! ;-)

Our server was named Yvonne. It's located on a quiet small street. Parking is a bit difficult. It wasn't busy in the morning. It's great for celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. I've always enjoyed their special menu. We ordered what they called Epernay burger, which has cult. Ground beef that's made from Patty, gruyere and caramelized, onions, mushrooms, arugula, and house aioli and I got the truffles fries.(5/5) We've also ordered the Frites au voef bourguignon and we were longing for some beef. The mushroom short ribs are delicious.3.5/5 Our soup we got the soupe a loignin French onion soup comete melted into the bread, well-made.4/5 Lastly, we got escargot which is reasonably priced snails with butter

You will forget to take the photo first! Soo good!

We came here for a date night and loved the food, but a bit dismayed by the service. Small narrow restaurant but the tables are spaced out in a way where we had ample of privacy for our date. The most disappointing part of this place was the service. The waitress did not seem interested at all in serving us, and when she finally did come by would put on THE fakest smile. When you have $500 caviar on the menu (not that we ordered it...) the service better sweep you off your feet! Regardless, we enjoyed the food and drinks. I liked my red wine (though there aren't too many options for red wine by the glass), and appreciated that they offer half glass additional pours, so you can sample various wines within a more reasonable budget. The salmon pate was a nice appetizer to start with, easily spreadable. My husband loved his french onion soup which had ample amounts of melted cheese on top for me to steal. We also had the burger which was cooked to perfection and very juicy. I absolutely loved my Sole fish dish. I am very critical about fish being too thin or too dry etc, but this was a decent sized super juicy cut.

Glad I got to cross Épernay Bistro off my list of places to try, and it was a huge plus that the overall experience was delightful. My husband and I were on a double date with our friends, so I appreciated the restaurant's intimate ambiance. This place was the most authentic when it came to service. We were at dinner for nearly 3 hours, which reminded me of Paris. The food took a long time to be prepared, and I felt that the wait staff was not as attentive. As long as you're not in a rush, champagne it up and enjoy hearty conversations at your table while waiting a while for your orders. We ordered a couple of appetizers including a charcuterie board and bacon wrapped dates stuffed with cheese. My favorite among the apps was their selection of cheeses. They tasted fresh and had very distinct flavors and textures: a type of hard cheese, a semi-soft like a manchego, a tart and creamy one like goat cheese, maybe a sharp cheddar?, and definitely a soft brie-like cheese. The entrees were fantastic. 3 out of the 4 of us got a beef bourguignon, and I got the filet. The beef bourguignon was incredibly tender, but I did think it could've used a little more salt. My filet, however, was excellent with every bite. The meat was cooked to medium rare perfection, and I enjoyed the other elements on my dish, such as the onions and potato 3-cheese puff pastry. Lastly, we had a few desserts to share. Épernay's chocolate mousse was decadent. It was thick and dense like brownie batter. Their beignets, which were like little pillows, were fine.

Excellent Boullabaise with fish, scallops, mussels. We had the dates and cheese appetizer and the potatoes with creme and caviar. Mom had the sole plate and hisband had the beef bourgonone with mushrooms. Great French wine to pair

Amazing French dining experience! Everything was great, from service to the food. I had scallops for appetizer (Coquilles Saint-Jacques), the Sole Sautée for and the Raspberry Custard Napoleon. They were all super delicious with generous portions. If you enjoy authentic French cuisine, this place is a must!

If you're craving French cuisine, this place will satisfy your palate. The restaurant is quiet and cozy--perfect for a date night--but perhaps a bit too subdued for a lively dinner with friends. The cocktail selection was limited, so we opted for a bottle of Bordeaux, which turned out to be pleasantly smooth. Every dish we tried was delicious, with the duck being the standout. Our waitress was friendly, though she didn't offer any recommendations or mention any specials. We were slightly disappointed that there wasn't a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl, but the beignets were an excellent sweet ending to the meal.

The Oeufs cocotte is very good, definitely my favors. The dessert chocolate mousse is great. Dense and good for sharing. The environment is very nice. Service is great. It is a great place for a date. Just found out that they now also serve dinner for 2 every Sunday add Wednesday. Took a look at the menu items. Very good. Definitely will come back.

I have traveled to Paris and sent a month there. If you want to be in France for a few hours ..then come to Epernay. I recommend the escargot and the burger. Wash it down with a glass of Perier Jouet brut. Parfait.

When we went in they had two different flight options of three champagnes. We opted for one of each to share, so that way we could try all of the open bottles. In addition to the flights they have champagne by the glass, bottle, and half bottle, as well as a still red, white, and rose, and a beer. They also have a few n/a options and some snacks and light bites. Mel helped us the entire time and was very fun to chat with! A lot of the time champagne can feel unapproachable, and that was not at all the case here. The whole experience was very fun and casual, but in a beautifully upscale space. This review is long overdue…read more My friends and I booked a Champagne tasting for party of six. Going into this I had absolutely no idea of what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised with the experience. We tasted three different bottles of Champagne. These bottles aren't ones typically found at your standard chain wine store. Bill provided background information on each and led us in a discussion of the differences. He clearly has a passion for this and loved sharing his extensive knowledge. We opted to have cheese to nibble on while we sipped and chatted. There were two other parties there that night but ours was the largest. There are smaller rooms available but our party was in the main seating area. The experience lasted for several hours and is a must for anyone that loves Champagne. This would be a great experience for birthday party or celebration, for a group or a couple. We visited there on the recommendation from a sommelier in Paso Robles based on their excellent sparkling wines. You have choice of ordering a glass of any of the wines or the tasting flight. My partner decided to go with a glass of the Brut Rose whilst I chose the tasting flight (5 wines for $40). All of the wines here are expertly made and of a beautiful style. I can't say there wasn't a wine here that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. The Brut Rose is a beautiful champagne style rose. The Rose of Pinot Noir was also excellent. A fantastic light yet flavorful wine. The chardonnay was also excellent and of a beautiful style with just a touch of oak. Next was their Passetoutgrain, which is a blend of gamay noir and pinot noir. Also in the tasting were two pinot noirs, the base pinot noir and the El Bec. Both were beautiful expressions of pinot noir. Wonderful balance of fruit, earth and spice. Finally, we had to try the Brut Cuvee, which is only offered by the glass. A truly beautiful wine reminiscent of the Champagne region. Service was from a couple of friendly and very knowledgeable attendants. The glassware here is beautiful and perfect for the wine served. The wines were all served at the proper temperature. And the pours were of a generous volume such that you could fully experience the wines.
