Stopped in for a late night breakfast 3 AM few weeks back wishes highly recommend this joint

The food here use to be good but not anymore. I came on a Sunday and waited nearly 10 minutes for the waitress to take my order. Then we waited another 40mins for our food. They served me the wrong items on my plate and when I told them it wasn't my order they took it away. My daughters food came and it seemed ok. They didn't re-fire my food they just "corrected " the items they missed. All my food was cold, where around me I saw steaming plates being served. It took them 3 times to get my eggs over medium. And my hash browns were mushy. They apologized and said that they know I am a regular and to give them another chance to make it right. They changed me for the cold food and bad cooking. So me being stupid gave them another chance to took me a breakfast that they use to get right consistently. I came in and ordered steak medium well, eggs over medium and hash browns crispy. Everything was cold. Everything! My eggs were raw underneath. My hash browns were mushy and cool, and my steak was over done and tough! And I paid the bill and told the waitress I wouldn't be back. It too bad really because you could always count on them to give a good HOT product. read more

5 stars for the price, 3.5-4 stars for the quality of the food! I was so excited to try this little joint in Martinez especially since it's 24/7 too so I had to check it out just in case for my late night adventures. When pulling up to the driveway, you'll first notice how SMALL this spot is and their parking lot (space for like 3-4 cars tops). We were lucky to find one opening up quickly. Love the staff, super friendly. The interior decor reminded me so much of the old school 90's diner where you could sit at the counter too and watch the chefs cook too. We ordered the 6 oz steak and scrambled eggs breakfast with hash browns and a side of bread and the bf ordered a chili cheese hamburger with onion rings. 3/5 for the steaks because literally it didn't have much flavor to it (nor salt) and "medium rare" actually turned out to be a little well done instead, boo. I'd probably pass on the steak next time. The hash browns were amazing here because it actually came out slightly crunchy outside but not too mushy! Eggs were done well too scrambled and sourdough bread was super yummy, not too buttery. 5/5 for the onion rings! They have this pink ranch-like-but-not-ranch sauce that goes amazingly well with it, drooling as I type about it. 4/5 for the chili cheese hamburger! The BF fairly enjoyed the flavors although it did get a little messy trying to keep everything together. The chili/patty kept sliding off the rest of the burger every time he tried to pick it up so I thought it was kinda funny watching him struggle LOL. This place gets the job done and more! Not much to look at, but the food is surprisingly good. I deducted 1 star because this place needs a remodel in the dining area. Great place if you are craving bacon burger or breakfast in the middle of the night.. If you're looking for great dessert .. Keep on driving .. But if you want comfort, satisfying and fatty foods .. tired of in&out or nations burger.. This is your spot. Me: Hashbrown (crispy), eggs over easy, sourdough bread and bacon. Another juicy, tasty and greasy burger joint to add to our list of go-to's. Tried the Mushroom Cheeseburger with bacon and added an over-easy egg with cheese fries. Husband ordered a regular bacon cheeseburger and the (no bean) chili cheese fries. They wrap the bacon around the burger. Mushrooms were perfectly sautéed, cut thick and flavorful. Egg was super runny. Bun was soft. The mayo even tasted good. I probably won't order the cheese fries again but the husband killed his chili cheese fries. Service was, however slow. The waitress was having an off day. She said it herself. She was the only one working so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. Their shake machine was also under the weather and she served us watery shakes. Overall, food is good. It's totally a diner/dive spot. Will definitely return just for that mushroom burger though. read more

Found this place while looking for another burger joint lol and thank god we did. Looks could be deceiving by the outside but oh boy what they got cooking up inside is pure good food! Juicy burger with thick bacon cooked to perfection. Shake was bomb and rootbeer floats were huge. Waitress was all alone but still stayed super sweet and helpful regardless of her rushing around. Hats off to the chef I will definitely be going back soon read more

Stopped here today on a whim and I have to say...wow! The burger was sooo good. The cheese was all drippy and melty and had a ton of flavor. I'm originally from out of state and where I used to live, you could find pretty good burgers not too far from home. Since living in California, I have to say this is the best burger I've had since living here. My only concern would be the cleanliness of this place, which could be cleaner. All in all, it's definitely worth a shot! read more

I was super reluctant to come here based on driving by. In the old days before Yelp, this is one of those places that you would only go to if you talked to a local. Again, the outside is not that appealing. I came here for a Saturday morning breakfast with two 15 year old boys. I thought quantity over quality. However I couldn't have been more wrong. The wait staff, she was awesome and friendly. She knew some of the locals and was genuinely happy to help. The boys got the 3 pancake stack. The cost $5.50. Each pancake was the size of the whole plate. If you do get the pancakes, ask for the butter on the side. If not the middle just tastes of butter. I opted for the 2 egg with hashbrowns, bacon (they gave 4 pieces), and toast. Cost $6.50. The food was great and quickly served. I will definitely come back soon. What did I learn today? Like many other yelpers have said: this is a no frills kinda place. Slide into a booth, pick up a menu, then order your over-sized helping of yummy food. My boyfriend and I both got a burger (bacon on top was perfectly crispy) onion rings and cheese fries, a milkshake and the biggest root beer float I've ever seen for about $20 total. That's a record low for us! The waitress and chef both came and checked on us during our meal. The chef even offered to refill my water. The milkshake flavors are what convinced my boyfriend to give the place a try: banana (his fav), watermelon, coconut, cherry, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. And they did not disappoint. We will be back for the giant pancakes we saw at the table next to ours. read more

$8.92 for a bacon mushroom burger & fries. The service was lackluster when I arrived. The attendant was taking someone's order when I walked in. Just as I started to give my order "I'd like a-" the phone rang. She picked it up and instead of putting that person on hold, she took the phone ordrer. So, no tip for her. After I placed my order, I added pickles to my burger (noticing later that they were upon request only). She hesistated, but added them. Once my order was done, I asked for mustard packets and since they didn't have any, she put some in a small to-go ramekin, with a smile. They are friendly, and on top of there game, just extremely slow cuz it was only one server, not her fault, not cooks fault, nor Managements... This place is awesome! Juicy BIG Burgers as advertised! My friend showed me this place and I've fallen in love. Ask for a Bacon Double Cheese? When you're done, you won't want to eat for a week you'll be so full! The cooks literally HUG the burger ALL the way around in Bacon ... it's insane. VERY generous portions of Bacon. Tried their Mozzarella Cheese Sticks too. A great side option to snack on while waiting for a burger. Rather small, but delicious. Your dollar will go far here too. VERY reasonable prices! I went here because of the hamburger steak photo on their yelp listing, the place is just a diner, complete with fluorescent lighting. The burger steak was just two reg patties pressed together, mashed spuds were ok, veggies, tasteless and over cooked. I didn't have very high expectations and they didn't disappoint, but I must say, the rather large chunk of plastic something in my mouth, delivered by the chocolate shake really didn't enhance my experience. Not to sound mean, but there is a reason this place is called "Tweak Burger". Like their brother location over on Clayton Blvd., the Pacheco location has the same type of clientele: people you would not want to be walking around with late at night. This location seems to be bit smaller than the Concord one. I ordered the mushroom burger and it actually didn't taste too bad. It tasted like a typical, hole-in-the-wall type of burger, complete with shredded lettuce. I also shared a basket of fries which desperately needed to be salted, and I hate added salt. The servers looked pretty out of it, except our server who was running back and forth like she was on speed. She ran over to our table and brought me a Sprite, which I did not order. She realized her mistake, ran away, then ran back and brought me water, which I also did not order but happily accepted. I watched our same waitress grab a cup of Coke, dump it out, rinse it out at the sink, and then also fill it up at the same sink before bringing the glass of water to someone. Overall this place is a bit of a mess. Sure the burger was good, but everything about this place screams "Sketchy". read more

Love this place it's the perfect "greasy spoon" burger spot. Very reasonable prices. good food and large portions. I personally love the chili cheese dogs and fries for $5.95. the bacon cheeseburger is also delicious although it will put you into a food coma if you had chili cheese fries to it. Very Oily...... Like your to-go bag is dripping wet with oil Got double bacon cheese burger, its pretty good but very salty. Got union rings, they deep fry it once its order so its crispy, but when its ready they take it out of the oil shake it once (to get the oil out) then put in the bag. In McDonald they at least hang it for a little while so the oil drips off. I probably go again when craving hamburger, but eat there. I'm having hard time cleaning the oil stains off my passenger seat and had to clean the dinner table oil the grease after eating the oily food. This place is the ****. Open 24 hours, and it's just a block away from my house? Hell yeah! This little diner has really friendly workers, and the food is definitely delicious. I usually get their chili cheese fries (awesome!) and a double bacon cheeseburger (this thing is huge). The fries are absolutely covered with chili and cheese, and the burger contains two huge meat patties and SIX strips of bacon. Can we say, "clogged arteries?" But hey, if I'm going to die, at least I'll be happy with a full stomach. The place isn't too big, just your typical diner. I'd imagine a lot of truckers stop by here on their routes. It really feels like you're "at home" at this establishment because of the friendly workers. I definitely like this place more than other spots like Fuddrucker's or Nation's. read more

Short story: Good thing Mom said not to judge books by their covers. Place looks like a dive, but the greasy burger will hit the spot if a hot serving of americana is what you're looking for. The Long story: I entered this burger joint needing a ground-beef-meets-hot-metal-surface fix, and was well-met with a quarter pound patty of non-lean meatiness. I asked after the "Colette special milkshake", but was met with confused laughter. Perhaps this is something that becomes available in the later shifts? (I was there for lunch). Nevertheless, two young individuals (neither of whom are Colette) decided that it meant blending two flavors of ice cream together in the shake.... so ask after the flavors, and get something "special". Or wait for Colette. I bet she's a peach. ...maybe Colette blends the milkshake a little better...so that one might suck it up through a straw... Mine came straight from the ice-cream machine to the cup, and was served with a spoon. Didn't get the bacon-wrapped burger - I can only handle so much goodness (badness?) in one meal. The one I did get, however, was cooked well, was still greasy, and tasted like a burger (three criteria for being satisfied in a greasy-burger joint). Agree with earlier reviewers that the lettuce and tomato were fresh and tasty. Fries came conveniently pre-sorted into serving sizes - the waitress opened the fridge, grabbed a pack, and before my wondering eyes, fried up an order of tasty potatoes. They don't mess around with shoe-string or steak-cut fries in the "real" places... no sir. You've got the standard-cut, guaranteed-crispy, russets here. They don't/didn't disappoint. If you come around lunchtime, you'll get a good dose of the locals - down-to-earth, friendly, and ready to chat. The short of it: This place has a grrrrrreat bacon cheese burger! REAL BACON = Thick, crispy goodness, and the burger was cooked perfectly well done and still flavorful. YUM! And, I'm not a "burger person". My onion rings (and drink) were added as a meal for $8.85. The rings were decent, but I think I tasted a hint of fish grease. After the decline of the once-great Fuddrucker's, I have been on a journey to find a good burger in the Bay Area... It has been a long quest, filled with gastronomic peril, but the reward of burger bliss is worth the dangers... And although the search continues, I did discover a local (and open 24/7) "burger joint" that is in the old school vein. Fresh ingredients - relatively clean preparation and dining area (as clean as a cafe can be). Sodas are refillable, but most other beverages are not, and the prices are not the greatest ($19 for two - burgers, fries, and sodas). The fries are old-fashioned (and done is clean oil - a true plus in my book), but overall I am left with the impression of a rather unremarkable establishment that produces a average product at so-so prices. The burger and bun were good in quality, but both were lightly scorched, and the taste of charcoal disturbed every bite thereafter. In other words, my mission continues. But, if at 2am I am Jones-ing for a double-cheese burger, and am too lazy to fire up the grill, a drive to Pacheco Blvd may be in order. read more

Wow! Did not expect a burger this good at 3am in the morning. Walked into a little diner style burger spot and ordered a bacon burger. One of the best burgers I've ever hsd. Onion rings were pretty good as well. Everything is made fresh there. Phenomenal food for the price open 24/7 with friendly staff. Only place open 24 hours and was it not called 1/4 lb Burger at some point? Well, 3:30 am and "help wanted" sign in window. The cutlery was noticeably dirty with grease on the knife and actual vegetable matter stuck to the fork. I requested another set and was given plastic ware. I noticed the waitress filling mayo containers from a big mayo container. She had to grab cabinet handles. She then took out trashes, handled money, and a mop and water with bare hands.She neither washed her hands nor wore plastic gloves when she grabbed my toast out of the toaster. I ordered the veggie omelet and it came cold. It was obvious that the grill was not hot enough as the cheese was not melted and the whole thing came cold to me, but that's after the waitress noticed it. I had to keep staring at it until she looked up from the dirty mayo jar. Where ever the bacteria came from, 3 or 4 hours later I was having severe cramps and my body ridding itself violently of that omelet. I hope the owner reads this.
