101 is very special to me. My first time eating here, I thought it was disappointing, but I later realized it was just I because I was on a really bad date lol. I went back two years later with much better company and this place got my absolute favorite go to restaurant award. This place does a great job with a seasonal rotating menu, so there is usually something slightly different to try if you are so inclined. I have never eaten a bad thing, service was always amazing, and I have spent both special occasions as well as regular, but supremely enjoyable, evenings here as well. Sadly I recently moved out of state, but this will remain one of my favorite places forever. My personal reccomendation is the pretzels and cheese. The carroway just kicks it up a notch read more

Decent, but not enough stellarness to make me crave it again. The quesadillas triangles were sitting on the orange-tinted chunky, opaque Mango Chili Cream that was really good. Mixed that with some sour cream, a dollop on top of each bit, and oh so yummy. The Monterey jack cheese was in small-crumbles form, and rather non-noticeable. Stopped in when looking for a good burger. Ended up ordering the 101 burger and the plantains. Also used the free check in offer to get the free loaded tots. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff very attentive. The tots were fried well, not at all greasy, and very flavorful. I recommend them. The plantains were sweet, and the sauce was a little zesty, but good, and fit in very well. The burger was good, although it got a little messy near the end. Might have been due to the pickles being on the bottom, or the fact I got it medium well. It wouldn't stop me from ordering it again. The fresh cut fries were crisp, and good as well. Shrimp and grits were "solid" and that team member wants to come back and try more dishes before we leave town. Carnivore pizza was good, however his beer was forgotten until he was halfway through his pizza. We finally made it over to check out the summer menu today (mostly bc I have been craving fried green tomatoes ). Our server Jewels was incredibly sweet and attentive. I opted for the crispy lemon chicken which sounded perfect for a summer day but I subbed the fried green tomatoes for the red skins. First let me start by saying the meal was enormous and truly could've fed both of us! The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp, flavorful and paired with a homemade remoulade sauce. So I've been seeing this place all over Yelp since I moved here, finally made it for brunch. I checked in and we got some free tots, which are so awesome. They are handmade, and they were a great start. The waiter let us know they change their menu every 3 months, to fit the season and serve what's fresh. Love that! I decided on the chicken and biscuits, my boyfriend did the steak and eggs. We also had the blood orange sangria. Everything was perfect and you get a ton of food. Had a great dinner with neighbors last night at 101 BK in Gahanna. The food was really good, i started with a wedge salad but it's not a traditional wedge. It was more like a couple big Cesar type leaves with the wedge toppings, it was good just not what I expected. The main course was mussels, nice size portion. The mussels themselves are small but the sauce was fantastic and it came with two nice sized toast points for dipping. My wife had shrimp and grits and those where really good. The kids meals are very large with plenty of options. It's pretty loud on a Friday evening which is expected and perfect with young kids. Overall nice spot with some creative offerings. If you like butterscotch you have to try the custard, smooth rich and very tasty!! 8/19/2017 I took my mom for Saturday brunch and it was FANTASTIC, the food was great. The service was awesome. "I want something just like this." Thank you, Coldplay. So, I've visited here on several occasions. First time was my first date with my future bride. Yeah, I'm actually looking past that and judging them accordingly. ;) That first trip equaled us just grabbing a beer a piece and moving on to her tearing up roses in my car, but I digress. Their Happy Hour is fantastic; 3-7 is a solid window M-F, with half off all drafts and also deals on wine and meads and $5 off of Growlers. No food deals here, HOWEVER all Yelp check ins receive a free order of a sweet crackers offerings of fully loaded tots. Now, I've referenced being blar on tots one other time. These are epically amazeballs. I would gladly pay for these; enjoy this check in bonus while it lasts lads. I've not tried their actual dinners as of yet, only apps. The tots are epic, their deviled eggs with fried capers and paprika and prosciutto is solid, and their wings (extra crispy) are very good (NOTE : blue cheese ranch has chunks of amazing blue cheese, wings are meaty and tasty but overall not worth the price point) and are all solid options. Their seating is fantastic, and service on point. I only give a 5 without sampling dinners because on 4 visits, I've yet to be unimpressed with their attendant servers. Sitting in the bar area, they are still highly attendant and pleasant. I've been pleasantly surprised with each visit thus far, and cannot recommend them strongly enough. Checked in with Yelp and found a free coupon for "Homemade Tator-tots" which sounded like a good appetizer. Server came to take our drink order and gave it to her, but asked her to bring the appetizer soon, since my granddaughter was starved from her dancing. Waited what I felt was an inordinate amount of time before our drinks came, only to have the wrong beer presented. Tried to get the servers attention but it seems she went on a break! Tator-tots finally arrived, which was needed. Finally got the servers attention and told her this was not the beer I ordered. She said it was, but would check. A few minutes passed by and our appetizer was brought to the table! Did I say we ALREADY had them? #SMH Server came back, with the correct beer in hand and said she did not know this was added (although it was LISTED on the drink/beer menu). Now took the orders. Let the fun begin! 5 minutes, 10 minutes; 15 minutes passed by when she arrived with my granddaughters dish only. Not a problem since Lucy was really hungry. Another 5 minutes; 10 minutes (other dishes being brought to various tables) but not us yet. Then the servers brought our plates, except for one. Simple apology about the late plate but what could we do. Couple minutes later, my granddaughter got ANOTHER plate of her mac-n-cheese served to her! Said she already had it; so back to the kitchen it went. But still no dish for my daughter. Finally the server came out and said they overcooked the salmon for the dish and had to re-do the plate, but would comp the dish. Finally as most of us were finishing up, my daughter's plate came out. This would have been now about 40 minutes after placing the original order and 50 minutes after we sat down and ordered! Asked others about their plates and all said the same thing, good, but hot sandwiches were warm at best. I personally had the Ham and Cheese and asked it was hot or cold, and was told it was was a hot/grilled sandwich which is what I wanted. Came out lukewarm at best. Normally, such a wait would be accepted on a busy night or evening, but on a Sunday afternoon with not a large crowd at the time of our orders, not acceptable at all! Had it not been for the "homemade tator-tots" and taste of warm dishes, this would have been ONE STAR! Normally always give an establishment a second chance, but since we were visiting and there are other great places in and around Columbus, no second chance for this establishment. I've been to two of the 101 beer kitchen spots (the other being in Dublin) - and this one is just as good. Granted, I don't come here enough, so I'm not recognized like I am in Dublin (a good or bad thing? I'll let the philosophers decide...). The food is consistent between the two spots - I haven't tried any of the unique dishes, just my usual favorites-the tots, the deviled eggs, the brunch items, the beers-and the service has been quick at the bar (where I've sat both times I have came here). If you like 101, you'll like this location. If you like food with a twist, I recommend it. After visiting the Gahanna location over the last few years, the service and quality of food is consistently very good. They change the menu up a few times a year to have seasonal items but many menu items are staples. The homemade tator tots are delicious as they use thick cut bacon to top. The jalapeño poppers, I believe seasonal, were tasty and VERY spicy! You really can't go wrong with anything - pizzas to sandwiches to shrimp and grits - all are great!
