    1/2 price Wine Mondays

It's hard the believe Truxton's has been around 20 years. They celebrated their 20th anniversary last week, 7/22/26. We've been customers since day one and especially love their brunch. So many good memories here. We take advantage of the rewards program and love Wine Mondays (1/2 off) And please note, the seasonal Coca-Cola ribs are back for the summer. One of my favs. Great staff, great service, and delicious food. 5 Star +++ Rating

Why did everything on the menu sound good? This is one of my in-laws favorite restaurants in LA, and I can see why. Service was great; everyone was super friendly and seemed to genuinely love working there. The place is popular, but we were able to be seated right away on a Thursday night. Lighting is dim and it was a lively/loud atmosphere. Our cocktails were strong and delicious, although mine was too sweet, so I sent it back and got something else. We started with an order of the monkey bread with all 3 dipping sauces. I need an entire pan please! I got the sambal salmon avocado bowl that was filling, healthy, and full of different flavors and textures. My husband got the Al pastor skillet with beans and rice. It was a nice portion and he enjoyed every bite. Our bonus mom highly recommended the key lime cheesecake, which we ordered to go since we were so full from our meals. Omg that was one of the best desserts I've ever had! Now I highly recommend it and need to get one whenever we're in the area!

I had a Girls Day Out with co-workers on 07/18/26 at Truxton's American Bistro-Westchester. We had a good time. Our breakfast was delicious. The restaurants ambience was wonderful and the customer service was great. Our server was very attentive and funny. If you are looking for good food and great vibes, I recommend Truxton's. There is a large parking lot that houses all surrounding businesses. There is also street parking available. I can't wait to visit again.

You should consider using Truxton's for Catering. They are absolutely awesome. We did a health event at our church and they catered it with great food option we had Ann Veggie wrap, barbecue chicken, and a miso salmon wrap that everybody loved them. People loved all three. We also had the Antioxidant salad and everything was on time, everything was awesome. I have been coming to Truxton for over 20 years and Shavon and help me so many time but this time she has exceeded all my expectations. Tonight I also came in to get a meal. I got the hanger steak, that was very good. Got a side of the sweet potato fries. And that key lime pie. I give truxtons my golden buzzer meaning I can't think of what else they could do to make my experience better. So they get 20 years of 5 stars!!!

Recently went to Truxtons for my Grandpa's 82nd birthday lunch! Every single one of the staff made him feel very special. My family and I hadn't gotten the chance to the staff know we'd like a birthday celebration for him because they went out of their way to each ask and share birthday wishes! After our meal they brought him his choice of ice cream and sang. Our meals were very delicious. I got The Gilly with fries and it was delicious. I enjoyed the sauce that came on the burger. Other family members enjoyed the Caesar salad, taquitos, and Cripsy Hot Honey Chicken sandwhich. No complaints! We called two days ahead to make a reservation for a Saturday and sat down immediately. They were able to squeeze us in and accommodate our needs. Would definitely recommend reservations for weekends as they say they can get busy. Parking was easy to find because the lot is large. It's right next to Pacos Tacos and if you needed more parking there's more nearby iHop.

EPIC Coca Cola Ribs. They fell off the bone!

I stopped in this past Saturday evening and sat at the bar, preparing to order the "secret menu" skirt steak. But to my surprise it was now permanently on the menu ... along with a Ribeye and a few other amazing (but logical) additions. Even better, they had an unadvertized special - Coca Cola Ribs. Full or half slab. I went for it!! I don't know how long the special will last but THEY WERE AMAZING!! They come with their garlic fries and pepper dew slaw. I've been going to Truxtons for 6 years, now. They just keep getting better.

My dad and I really like the food here. I try to order something different every time and everything I've tried is consistently good. They have a rather large menu with plenty of options to either eat healthier (think salads with fruits and quinoa) or indulge a craving (think fish and chips). Today we tried their lunch, special combos for the first time each lunch combo is $15.99 and offer offers the opportunity to pick either a super salad along with a half sandwich. When they came out, I didn't initially think it would be enough for me or my dad. But after eating our meals, my dad remarked that it was just the right amount. We had also ordered a large order of sweet potato fries as well to supplement our lunch. I definitely look forward to coming back to Truxton's. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program. They'll give you $20 or $25 to use for your birthday and you earn points every time you dine there to redeem for more rewards. Thank you for your friendly service Sam!

I have tried Truxton's for dinner a few times in the past, mostly to go or delivery orders but this past weekend I stopped in for breakfast for my first time and really enjoyed it. Inside is really large and open, with many different seating options and rooms. They have a full bar with TVs, giant booths, is well organized, and is in the end a comfortable setting. There is a giant free parking lot attached on the side of the restaurant, so finding a space is really easy. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out extremely fast. The menu here is very large, so there are tons of options on it. For this visit, I chose the 14th Street Breakfast Sandwich and added avocado. I thought it was honestly really good and I also switched to the brioche bread which I would recommend. All the dishes that I've ordered here have been consistently good and I plan to be back many times in the future.

July 20, 2025 | Westchester | After an event nearby & wearing our All-White Attire, I looked on Yelp to find a restaurant nearby! Truxton's caught my eye and what a spectacular choice! Sambal Salmon Avocado Bowl | The Salmon marinated with chili basil was a mouthwatering dance with my taste buds, so delicious! Haha! On a bed of cauliflower and brown rice, avocado... along with Sriracha, chili basil sauce, avocado, and so many other yummy veggies... This dish is an absolute win & I enjoyed every single spicy & flavorful bite! My two friends enjoyed their dishes as well!! Customer Service | Fun, attentive & friendly... and definitely with a great sense of humor! Hahaha! Thanks again, Sam & Bernie! Parking | Free! Shared with other shops and restaurants nearby! Overall | Yes, please! I'm looking forward to ordering the same dish, as it's memorable, spicy, and flavorful... a total win!

Marcus is an rockstar waiter and made the experience smooth and pleasant. Bloody Mary is excellent and the hanger steak special was so perfect, and the sides very tasty as well. Great atmosphere and staff is really nice. Will comeback every time I am in town.

Stopped by Truxton's for lunch with my sister in law around 12:30. It was quiet at first, then the lunch rush hit about an hour in. Our waiter, Benedict, was great. Patient, helpful, and really attentive the whole time. We both started with soup. She ordered the Caramelized French Onion Soup, and I went for the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Now, anyone who knows me knows I love CTS, but this one missed the mark. The consistency was off and did not feel well developed. It honestly gave "let's add this to the menu and see what happens" energy. I ended up switching to the French Onion, and even then, I still wasn't a fan. What did save the day were the drinks. The seasonal tropical lemonade was delicious, and the Purple Haze drink was even better. Those two alone made the visit worth it. I'll definitely come back because the service was great and the atmosphere was solid. I just won't be coming back for the soup.

We decided to stop here before catching our flight out of LAX. The place is very nicely decorated giving a slight feel of sophistication but not pretentious. About half of the tables were occupied. Service was quick but not rushed. We ordered a cup of the French Onion soup and Cherry Cambozola Grilled Cheese and split them both between two of us. The soup was very flavorful with a good amount of cheese. The sourdough on the sandwich was nicely toasted. The cherry sauce was a perfect compliment. We both enjoyed the experience very much and this was a great kick start to our upcoming vacation.

Turkey Club, avocado on the side, with Garlic Parmesan truffle fries. Fish & chips on the other side !

Truxtons was AMAZING. I'm so sad I live 2 hours from this gem of a spot. Anytime I'm in the area I plan on coming back to eat. From the savory monkey bread, to our drinks, entrees, and service, everything was off the charts. Fresh delicious food, and our Server Sam was phenomenal. My drink was never empty, he was so attentive and great to chat with. The restaurant itself was clean, and super cute! Please open a San Diego County location!

Ask the Community - Truxton's American Bistro

    Do they do thanksgiving meals?

I’m pretty sure they do. Did you ever get a Turkey dinner from Whole Foods? I highly recommend it!

    What about large groups?

Yes-they have a private dining area that can be reserved for large groups

    Do they offer bottomless mimosas?

No, but you buy a bottle of bubbly and a juice, and it is enough to share for 2 people. It is very reasonably priced.

    Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes. We gave one for Christmas

    Are you open Christmas?

Normally just for catering orders, or take outs placed 3 days prior to the 25th to allow time to prepare

Do they still offer breakfast to go?

Yes, only Saturday & Sunday with a limited breakfast menu, but they open at 11 no longer 9 a.m.

Do they take reservations? I know this place gets crowded

Yes they do! However it's for parties of 6 or more when I spoke to the greeter

Does it deliver to nearby hotels?

I think so but call to double check

Is there a happy hour menu?

No daily specials and a $6 cocktail

First - espresso martinis. It was as if the bartender read our minds...they were made to perfection! Flavorful and you can definitely taste the balance of the espresso and alcohol. I ordered the steak frites and sugar sugar ordered the salmon. We always try each other's food and we couldn't determine which dish was better. The salmon was baked perfectly and the side salad was delicious! The steak had just enough seasoning so that it didn't overpower the quality of the meat. I have never had a perfectly cooked steak in my life! Ruth Chris who? Maestros where? I don't even eat steak on a regular but best believe it will be at the Manchester moving forward. Pro-tip: Make a reservation online through Resy - this restuarant qualifies for AmEx's Resy credit! Layout & seating: The front-door faces the main streetThere are high tables, bar seating, and low tables throughout the area. I haven't used their bathroom, so I can't speak to that. Parking: There's a free, public parking lot in the back that's shared with the school, so be mindful that you're not parking in designated spots during school hours. Other times, e.g., weekends, it's fair game. It thankfully has never been packed, so I have been able to grab a spot for myself. Accessibility: The door is a little heavy, but there are no steps to get inside from the street, so that's good. The inside can feel a little cramped. Ambiance: During the late afternoon, the sunlight filters and the entire dining area feels nice but not too bright. Service: Very prompt and attentive; friendly staff. What I've tried: Pre-Summer menu 1. Duck Dibi Ssam: Senegalese smoked lamb shoulder, bib lettuce, green Shito, pickle, and suya peanuts; $52 I love the combination of Senegalese and Korean dishes here to create this juicy duck dish. I do wish there was more Shito because the amount you get is not enough for the entire plate and extras have a cost. 2. Jollof Platter: Ghanaian jollof, bomb azz black beans, plaintains, arugula salad; sauces: Scallion, BBQ jerk, cilantro-lime cream; added on root beer braised short rib; $28 + 22 (protein add-on) Absolutley tender, fall-off-the-bone short rib in a rich mole-like root beer sauce. The jollof was well cooked - definitely parboiled before cooked off at the end with the seasoning & spices, and nicely smoked. The beans were simple, but I do remember tasting the bay leaves and seasoning. The plantains were soooo well cooked; crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Summer menu 1. Suya Mushrooms and Greens: Oyster mushroom, snap peas, peanuts; $15 Absolutely scrumptious mix of suya, fresh & crunchy snap peas, and just smokey enough. I cannot stress how much everyone must try this dish, if nothing else on the menu. 2. This is, A Tasty Burger: Short rib, caramelised onions, pickles, cheddar, Gold-Coast BBQ sauce, fries; $23 Not heavy, but very filling and juicy; loved the BBQ sauce - I think there was mustard in there? Either way, the flavours were so "simple" yet flavourful. The meat felt "light", if that makes sense. 3. Lamb + White Bean Hummus: Flatbread, yassa onions, (ground) lamb bits; $21 The hummus felt very traditional Palestinian/Syrian and the ground lamb was delicious. The flatbread was reminiscent of the flatbreads from the Levant, Khubz Arabi or a type of pita - soft, pillowy, and perfect for hummus. 4. Smashed potatoes: Labneh, Lula Mae's chilli oil, fried rosemary; $15 This feels like their version of Batata Harra and it was nice; loved the fried rosemary and garlic - so crunchy and flavourful. Really rich & tangy labneh - I wonder if it's homemade or from a Lebanese store? 5. Drinks: Hommémade lemonade (jamaica) and Mocktail of the week Love the (spicy pineapple) Both drinks were well-made - a little tart, a litle sweet, and well mixed. My absolute favourite items have been the duck and the Suya Mushrooms and Greens; I cannot wait to go back and order more of the latter and try out the Big Fish, and finally try the desserts! My only issue is the noise; there's a TV that's on in the background, music playing overhead, and rather close seating to the next party (to the point that you can hear what they're saying rather clearly). Having a conversation is very difficult with all these competing sounds. Note: There is a time limit for parties of 4 or larger of 1.5 hours, so please be mindful as Two Hommés gets busy from opening to close.

When we got there, I looked at her... She looked at me.... I looked at her.... She look at me. We paid the cover charge and entered. The place was pact with people having a good ole time eating food, having drinks and giving to the old school hip-jop/r&b music. We sat at our time and were immediately were greeted and took our orders. We hade a couple drinks to go alongside our burgers. Let me tell you something. If you are a burger guru, you need to hit up this spot. One of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Everyone was friendly and the music had you in a great mood. If we didn't have other plans after, we would of been there until they close. Definitely will have to check out this spot again.

However, the $10 cover charge, especially on a Saturday night, felt unnecessary and more like a cash grab than anything else. The pricing overall is on the higher end compared to similar bars, but the quality and experience don't quite justify it. The ambiance feels dated and a bit worn down, which takes away from the overall vibe. Service was just okay, nothing terrible, but definitely not memorable or particularly attentive. Overall, it has potential, but between the cover charge, pricing, and atmosphere, it's hard to feel like you're getting good value for your money. The deejay was great!

The staff are dressed in matching white t-shirts and pants, and the shirts say "All-Day Cafe." However, we walked in a little after 3:00 PM and found out we couldn't order smoothies (which end at 3:00) or breakfast items (which end much earlier at 11:00). For an "all-day cafe," that felt like a bit of a misrepresentation. Since it was very, very hot outside, I was disappointed that they were serving lukewarm water. Unfortunately, there was no vegan pizza on the menu, but our first waiter was very, very nice and friendly, and he had the kitchen accommodate us by omitting the cheese, substituting olive oil for chili oil, and adding spinach. The pizza turned out to be very thin, but yummy, and my party also enjoyed the ceviche. I had an iced coconut coffee that was absolutely delicious. After our first waiter ended his shift, our second waiter, Mike H., took over the table and never checked on us not even one single time after someone dropped off the food. When a small issue came up with one of the plates, he was just so nonchalant and dismissive, and Mike didn't add to the ambiance of the place at all. Fortunately, I believe it was a manager who then stepped in with a smile and addressed the issue, which was really nice. Aside from that unfortunate service experience, the food and drinks were tasty, but the misleading menu hours, lukewarm water on a hot day, and inattentive waiter definitely left room for improvement.
