Well, this was a not-so-hidden gem for me! 110 Grill is near Torrington, CT, where I was visiting with a family member. We decided to grab a bite and she recommended this spot, telling me it had a little bit of everything in a typical American menu. The venue was relatively empty on a Tuesday night and we were seated by the bar, which is ample and equipped with flat screen tv's showing the latest sports game highlights. We started off with drinks: a sombrero and a Malibu Bay breeze- delicious! The server was friendly and stressed the importance of letting her know about any food allergies we may have. She also offered a gluten-free menu. For starters we had the artichoke dip and the firecracker shrimp. I was concerned the shrimp would be too spicy and the server offered the sauce on the side, which was a great option for me. Both dishes were very good. Out entrees were the steak tips with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli and the churrasco with fries. We were both satisfied with our choices which were cooked to perfection, although my 'chimichurri' sauce was chunkier than I'm used to but, nevertheless delicious! We ended our meal by sharing the Oreo brownie dessert. Sharing was a good idea since the portion is very big. We've been here many times since it opened. It's always a fun time. From meeting friends at the bar or taking the family out to dinner or lunch, it's laid back and fun. We had Elisabeth today and she was so attending and great with our kids. The kids couldn't believe she knew they wanted a refill of chocolate milk without them asking. Elisabeth told my kids she has super powers and can read minds. They loved her so much. We will be back very soon. This was the most amazing dinning experience I've had in forever. My bartender/server was Lindsey. She was attentive, personable and all around amazing. She was probably the BEST server we have ever had. She made our drinks, and we have never had the "signature cocktails" but lindsey suggested drinks and executed them perfectly. Last but not least was the coconut cake which rivals my favorite coconut cake in the world from Max A Mia. The wings arrived with multiple visible feathers still attached--not just tiny feather remnants, but actual feathers that made it obvious the chicken had not been properly cleaned before cooking. (Enough to tell what color the chicken was before being slaughtered ). That alone was unacceptable. The stuffed salmon entrée was even worse. The presentation was unappetizing, the salmon was undercooked, and the stuffing was so poorly prepared that it was difficult to tell what it was supposed to be. The mixed vegetables were completely overcooked, soggy, and overwhelmed with chopped garlic, making them inedible. The roasted potatoes didn't resemble roasted potatoes at all. To make matters worse, the vegetables had apparently not been drained before being packaged. The entire takeout container was filled with approximately a centimeter of watery liquid mixed with lemon butter, leaving the salmon, vegetables, and potatoes completely floating in water and mushy by the time I opened it. What made the experience even more frustrating was how the situation was handled. When I called, I was initially told the owner was refusing to issue a refund and would only remake the meal. The bar manager was very pleasant. She then told me that I should have requested the vegetables on the side because "a lot of people do that to prevent that from happening." If this is a known issue with how the restaurant packages its food, customers shouldn't have to know to request a workaround--the restaurant should package meals properly from the start. I called back a second time hoping to speak directly with the owner. I was first told the owner hadnt arrived yet. The third time I called, I was told he wasn't available. The inconsistency made it feel like my concerns were being avoided rather than addressed. I wasn't looking for free food. I even offered to return it. I simply expected a meal that was prepared safely, packaged properly, and a business that would stand behind its product when legitimate concerns were raised. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any of those things. I don't recommend eating in or ordering to go! If you are unsatisfied, you'll be told you can't get a refund.

It was perfectly constructed with delicious tender carne asada. I say 10/10 on flavor! My only criticism is we both got our fries about 20 min before getting our burritos. Soooo yea we ate all our fries by the time the burritos came. And that's after we waited at least 30 min just to get the fries. The waitress was sweet and apologized for the wait. Anyway the carne asada made up for the wait.

Whether I've lived keto or gone with my bestie who is pescatarian, we have always had our needs met. I have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinners here and enjoyed each one! Their coffee to go is great too. Every staff member I have interacted with has been great---friendly, attentive and helpful. Each visit has been extra special due to servers, bartenders and cooks. The owner, Jeremy, is wonderful too! You can tell he truly cares about his business, his staff, his customers and the community. The ambiance is cool! It's got some surfer touches that always makes me feel like I'm on vacation in key west, versus at a spot in Connecticut. If you haven't been here, you gotta put it on your list!
