Went on a Friday night around 8:45. Fairly slow in there, the bar tender was very unprofessional and untrained. Got us a drink and didn't come back for 20 minutes. I wanted to try the $5 cup of soup with my meal. I hoped they could add it as a side with a slight up charge but they wouldn't. After she took our order she got more refreshments and disappeared. She didn't bother telling us another server would take over. Unprofessional. I ordered a $15 steak and cheese sub...it had extra cheese, so much cheese it's all I could taste. I wouldn't recommend that meal. Also the French fries were drenched in salt, be sure to ask for no salt or light salt. There are no lunch time specials either. Seems like it would be a popular destination if the food was prepared right, service was better and prices weren't so steep. I love this restaurant the food is exceptional as well as my last visit a grilled cheese wasn't on the menu but they made a delicious sandwich that went perfectly with my soup. Went here with my fiance on our first date night after moving to the area. This is the best restaurant we have been to in a few years. It's a beautiful dining room. My friend & I went here today, per my request, over Mooya, nextdoor... Honestly, I'm disappointed. The service was great, however. Breanna was a great server, and definitely deserved her 25% tip; however, the kitchen could use chefs, who know how to cook to order, and actually cook something appetizing... My friend ordered their grilled cheese & tomato bisk (creamy tomato soup). The bread was HARD, and the tomato soup was basically a chunky vodka sauce, heated in a bowl. I ordered a $32 ribeye steak, with cajun seasoning... There was no cajun seasoning, and getting their standard seasoned ribeye instead, it was bland... I have NEVER had to add salt or pepper, to a properly cooked steak, but today, I did; I even used the garlic butter we got with our complimentary bread & butter, just to season my steak... A waste of $32, to be totally honest. The peach Arnold Palmer I ordered, was delicious! So ZERO complaints to the talented bartender. If not that I, and my friend, want to try the Beyond Burger (an entirely vegan burger, made to mimic actual beef, from the faux blood, to the flavor & texture), I would honestly never return to this establishment. Again, the bartender (named unknown), and the server (Breanna), were topnotch! The atmosphere wasn't horrible either... My only other complaint, was the dirty plate, covered in spots, and a greasy film, that was set at our table, when seated. Before I get negative comments, I have over 15 years experience in the restaurant business, from a dishwasher to a head chef, and have been to culinary school, so I'm not being an ignorant customer. Well it first starts off with our party of 10 arrived at 1145 am.The hostess asked the other hostess on if she could put together tables to accommodate our party. After 5 minutes she could not figure it out and came back over to the hostess who stated let me look at it. Needless to say after 15 minutes we were seated. Lack of FOH training? Now the food. Let's just say, I likely won't be returning unless someone else is paying. Seriously overpriced for what you get. We got an order to share of the bbq chicken nachos ($13!) and it left a lot to be desired - there were maybe 5 chunks of chicken and a tablespoon each of black beans and corn. My husband just got a basic cheeseburger ($13 also) and although he said it was ok, they were not too generous with the fries for that price point. I got something that was pasta with a pesto cream sauce, chicken, artichokes, etc. It was very good. The food was decent, but there were some weird things. When we first walked in @ 6pm, they were starting to get busy (12/22), and when we walked up to the hostess to get a table, we were asked if we had a reservation after we said table for 3. Wouldn't we have led off with that? While we waited for a table, she proceeded to ask everyone that question. Rochester isn't exactly an area where you need to make a reservation to eat out. Just seems weird to ask every single party that question, unless they're just trying to set precedent that you should make reservations here. If so, good luck with that. read more

I definitely needed to come back and update this review again. After my previous update due to a bad experience, the general manager contacted me and ended up sending me a gift card in the mail, so we went back today and gave it another chance. The last experience was definitely a fluke, because today was every bit as fantastic as what we had experienced in the past! Our server, Debbie, was prompt and friendly. The food was hot and absolutely delicious. I had the pulled pork mac and cheese, which has been a favorite dish of mine there for a while, and it was even better than usual! Unfortunately I had some hope for this restaurant. Walking in the style, the feel, the ambiance gives you feeling like fine dining in new york. Unfortunately for our experience that was far from the case. To start our waiter had us sitting a while before even getting our drink order. We ordered our food i had finished my drink. The waiter went to get me another and then he brought our food. I was almost done with my meal before he realized he forgot my drink. We sat next to where the food was made and came out. Unless Gordon Ramsey is yelling at people I dont see the point of it. The wait staff standing there playing on their phones. Seeing the cooks just throw things together to get it out. I dont feel like that helps with the dining experience. I digress, onto the food portion. It was mediocre at best. To be honest we didnt even finish our meal. Our first try today and we had a wonderful time! Marlo was our server offering us friendly prompt service while training a new server. They were very polite and warm as they made great suggestions and chatted with us about our wedge salad and nachos. Having just hiked Mt Major, we had built up an appetite indeed. After months of wanting to try this spot my Mom and I finally tried it for lunch on a sunny day and were able to sit outside. Sadly we weren't overly impressed with the food quality or service. The restaurant and bar is really cute inside but the food is similar to that of a Chili's or Applebee's. They did offer a good lunch deal for $8 for a combo of soup, sandwich, salad, or flatbread. We will NEVER go here again! We sat at the bar. We were there for almost 2 HOURS and I can count on 1 hand how many times the bartender spoke to us! We first ordered our cocktails and appetizers. The appetizers took over 30 mins to come out. When we got out apps, we placed our entre orders. Steak tips and the steak with chimichurri. Both med rare. Took well over 45 mins before we saw our dinners.... and when we got them they were both Luke warm and WELL DONE! See pics below! The plates were sloppy at best and the food was TERRIBLE! Not worth the 27 dollars they charged for each entre. Also keep in mind that the bartender, our server, walked by us atleast 20 times and NEVER asked of we wanted another cocktail or how our apps were. She also never cleared our plates or EMPTY drink glasses.. we had to stack them next to us where they sat until after we got our entres. Now she did comp one of the entres. Thank you for that. But even with that comp, our bill was 123 bucks! This wasn't even close to a $123 meal! This wasnt even a $60 meal!!! The hole experience was sloppy at best! read more
