My favorite pho place right now! Food is amazing! Their shrimp fried rice is the best

This review is a difficult one because I thought the flavor and good quality was great. I got the beef stew with banh mi. The stew was very flavorful and perfect for dipping the banh mi. The braised beef was tender and moist. The carrots and daikon we're nice and crunchy. The problem was that there were only 4 small chunks of beef, 4 slices of carrot, and 4 slices of daikon. The amount of broth/soup was decent although compared to it's container it was only half full. In summary, good flavor terrible portions. Especially since it was $14 (via Doordash). read more

I ordered the beef stew for delivery and it was13.95. The stew was good but not hearty at all. It was mostly broth with very little beef and vegetables in it. Was still hungry after eating. On top of that 2 of our entrees were missing because the driver forgot the other bag. Called the restaurant said the food was there but we had to pick it up if we wanted it. Not good business at all I wont be going back or ordering from them again. read more

I honestly don't know why this place have so many good reviews, don't be fooled. They messed up my order and only offers store credit, their food is not that good to go back for, there's like two pieces of beef in my pho, and there's no hot sauce or any sauce packed in to go order. Good pho. Order at counter, and they bring to your table. No pix this time but was a large bowl, you get 3 meats, I chose meatballs and 2 beef, with wide noodles. Comes with bean sprouts, basil and jalapeño slices on the side. You choose wide noodles (about linguine width) or skinny (closer to angel hair, thin threads). Broth was flavorful, subtle. Place has a modern feel. Some others in our party got banh mi (looked like a giant roll with not that much filling). Another got a dry yellow noodle dish with meat Which looked good and was enjoyed (IIRC this was shaken beef with garlic noodles). Also enjoyed a matcha green tea with boba, pretty good, soft chewy boba. Would go back and try the dry noodles, maybe banh mi as well. read more

Friendly staff and tasty food. Had the pork banh mi sandwich and egg roll appetizer. Egg rolls were crispy and the sauce was tasty. A little too much bread and the daikon radish were a little too limp in the banh mi. Pork was tasty and tender. 3.5 stars. read more

Best Pho in LA! I consider myself a Phõ enthusiast coming from Seattle where there's nothing but authentic pho restaurants on every block, about as frequent as Starbucks; therefore, I'm confident in knowing what a good recipe should taste like. I've been looking for a "good" pho place since moving to LA, and I've already tried several in Long Beach and throughout LA that have been mediocre or suspicious. 1 2 3 Pho was hands down the best recipe a Pho I've had since moving down here from the Pacific NW. Staff was friendly Service was fast Ambiance was welcoming, contemporary, and clean I ordered the chicken pho, with thin noodles and beef/chicken broth; it's served with all the proper, traditional ingredients, and it's a good size too. If you think you won't be able to satisfy your hunger off a bowl of soup I challenge you to try this place. I will be returning, for sure...my new "go to" pho place in Long Beach. read more

Wow! Ordered this place through postmates and it did not disappoint! I had the pork Banh Mi and the Springs rolls. I asked them to please sub shrimp for pork in the spring rolls and they did so with no problem at all. Provided a great dipping sauce for the spring rolls that were super fresh and some of the best I've had! Their banh mi was HUGE and the lemongrass pork is so freaking good. Plenty of meat and veggies. This place knocked it out of the park. Will definitely be ordering frequently. read more

Did not know what to eat today but I knew I wanted asian food because the asian in me needed rice. I've only really had their pho and didn't have anything else until today. I got the Lemongrass Chicken with Fried rice and my boyfriend got a Banh Mi with chicken and shrimp. My dish was so fragrant since it's a garlic fried rice. The quality of chicken on my dish plus the Banh Mi were amazing and I couldn't believe the jumbo shrimp they give you on the Banh Mi. Had a little bit of everything and loved it. All the food was super flavorful! I still have garlic on my breath and I don't care. Posted some photos after we started eating because I forgot to take it before :p I also grabbed two Thai Teas which was around 2pm today when we went to order the food. I've picked up and gotten delivery here. If I could do half stars I would want to do 3.5 stars, but I really don't feel they are 4 stars based on delivery and pick up experiences. Bao: the daikon and carrots on my baos were not pickled, so it just tasted like raw veggies... I took them out of my bao, I would have loved it if it was pickled. Spring rolls fell apart. They oversoaked the rice paper. The sauce that comes with the spring rolls are fish sauce and not peanut sauce... Pho: I didn't get hoisin or sriracha... which is pretty important to me (this was for a delivery). The noodles in the pho are super smooth and silky which is great. The broth is very well flavored. There isn't a lot of variety in the protein choices. I love some tendon and tripe, but it's not an option. I guess that's their "approachable way to Vietnamese cuisine". There isn't a lot of meat for what you pay for... but I get it, they are in downtown. Banh Mi: very standard sandwich, the veggies are way more pickled. I wish there was more veggies and protein for the price charged. I've paid the same amount for a banh mi before and it was super elevated with way more substance. All in all, the Pho is my favorite part. Would I come back? Yes because it's one of the few pho places near my apartment. But also, if I moved away I would probably not come back. read more

Thanh and the 123Pho crew are an amazing team. They did the most heartwarming act of kindness and donated over 40 meals to my staff at Torrance Memorial Hospital. We got 20 bowls of Pho (beef, vegetarian and chicken) delish rice meals (beef and chicken) and scrumptious vermicelli salad bowls. Accompanied with all the toppings and sauces. During the peak of the pandemic, the nurses and staff in my unit have been working their butt off. Having lunch provided by 123Pho was honestly the perfect reward for all their hard work. I was staying in a hotel and just wanted some pho . This place had pictures and the food was the right price . I ordered the food and when it was delivered it was hot , and the presentation was awesome . They meat was lacked separately and the container houses the broth and the noodles separately. This was great because I could assemble my own pho in the amounts that I wanted . They gave me tons of extra at no extra charge . I love sliced onions in my pho . So I've been wanting to try this place for awhile because my husband and I live close by and we love pho. I'm Vietnamese and I have to admit I can be very particular about my pho. I have to say that I was really impressed with this place. We both ordered the pho with chicken and beef broth and for our appetizer we had the pork and shrimp egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce. For the egg rolls you also have the choice to get the traditional fish sauce but I just love how you also can get the sweet and sour sauce when you want to keep your breathe nice and fresh. Haha. Everything was really good! The egg rolls were wrapped in this crunchy light-weight wrapper that had a nice crunch to it. As for the pho - the broth was flavorful and yet not overly salty. I'm very picky about my pho, but Tong and his 1-2-3 pho do not disappoint. It is delicious pho (I would recommend the brisket, it is so tender and falls apart in the soup), whenever I'm in downtown Long Beach and want pho it's my go to. The appetizers are good as well but the pho is awesome and I usually wind up leaving nothing left in the bowl :) After you finish your pho, take a walk down the promenade to Long Beach Creamery for some amazing ice cream! read more

I've had their spring rolls and they're not the best, however, I would recommend the shaking beef which is pretty tasty. Sometimes I've seen this place get busy, but it usually isn't too bad. As someone that enjoys the frequent warm soups and broths, this has become my go-to pho spot! I really enjoy the food! Honestly, I love that you are given the choice of 3 proteins choices--yes! 3 proteins! No extra charge! I mean, that is awesome! I love getting my pho with wide noodle, beef/chicken broth, and as for proteins, I love the brisket, the veggies, and fried tofu! Wow. Now, tofu time. I don't like tofu from most places but this place just knows how to make it! I love, love mushrooms so you know I get excited when you get them with out an extra charge. I like the vermicelli rolls with the sauce, and usually get pork with it. Lemongrass chicken is a close second. You can get a discount off appetizers during happy hour (must dine in). Also various deals on drinks, boba and alcoholic beverages. I've had the Taro and Jasmine Milk tea, which are ok. Their pho broth is good, I like the tendon as my protein source due to its soft gelatinous texture. I am not sure if it was the brisket or rare flank, but at least one of those was really dry and bland, (which I know sounds weird because it is in a liquid broth). Will definitely want to avoid getting that again in the future. I am curious to try the seafood protein options. The give you a small amount of Sriracha and hoisin sauce, but I reckon you could ask for more if you needed it. I like their salmon rice dish. It took longer to get this dish than the pho, but it had an enjoyable crispy outer texture and was quite enjoyable with the sweetness of the sauce, which you can add to taste. Didn't really care for the tomatoes or cucumber in the salad that came part of the plate. Still, I would get this again. I have tried their bao and was disappointed. Too much dough to meat ratio, and the meat was way too salty the time I tried it. While not every dish is a home run, they do offer dishes worth trying out if you're in the area with good happy hour options during the week and weekend. read more

I hate giving negative reviews and can tell you that the food here is great! The issue I had was with the service. There is only 1 person handling all the pick up orders and dine in orders. She's always busy and I try to be patient. However, she never once addressed me as I waited. I had someone standing behind me , walk in front of me and she addressed her. Meanwhile, I waited and she went back to checking computers. I finally stepped up and ask for my order and she apologized. There is usually 2 people at the registers that could clearly help out but do not. Okay, this place is NOT BAD for a downtown food option. The broth was decent and I think they use good briskets for their pho. However, if you have been to other Vietnamese restaurants and enjoy Vietnamese food, this may not be a good place for you. The ambience is nice, very hipster and price is about $3 more than what it would usually cost to eat pho with multiple meat ingredients. The Sriracha sauce is portioned but you can ask for more. The brown sauce and Sriracha sauce come out on a small side dish instead of the original bottle. It looks nice but not convenient for people who like to put sauces directly on to the soup. They currently DO NOT have Vietnamese coffee. That was sort of a big let down. The service is really nice and it is new for the kitchen to be open to view in a Vietnamese restaurant so that was interesting in some ways. I will say this place could be a gem in DTLB but probably be my last option for good Vietnamese food. If you like good broth and sauces aren't used directly to your soup on your pho, and don't mind not having Vietnamese coffee and it isn't the main thing you are looking for, this place definitely would work for you. Pretty damn good for a pho place that's not in Little Saigon. There is street parking, but luckily it's right next to the 2hr free parking structure. I love how the menu is simple. Let me just start by saying before I was done eating I already wanted to return the next day. The pho was really yummy I appreciated the broth wasn't greasy. I like how you can choose between thick or thin noodles and choose up to 3 proteins. Price is just right for the portions.
