Lovely little place with a nicely decorated dining area. Reminds me of an old school grocery market of some sort. Almost feels like all the ingredients are grown and raised in the back. The taste of each dish surely backs up this theory as well. At first I was taken back by the prices and limited menu for breakfast and lunch but that quickly changed after I took my first bite. We came for the brunch, and were not disappointed at all. The start was a short wait with an easy check in and text message notification for when our table was ready. Amazing mimosas were served up for $3.00 a glass while we waited. Once seated we ordered a Carafee of mimosas (which they have a ton of different flavors) , the Corque Madame, and breakfast Quesadillas. The entire selection was excellently presented, and tasted amazing. Our server Was Silvia and the manager making rounds Hector provided an excellent overview of current events being held at the location. This spot was a random selection and we couldn't be happier at having found it. If you're in the area and craving an excellent experience do not pass this one up. read more

First off the restaurant had a really cool vibe with nice decor and the menu looked great. I ordered the quinoa salad and my friend ordered the huevos rancheros. When they brought out her plate, it consisted of two corn tortillas, topped with two fried eggs and what looked to be two slices of melted velveeta cheese. Nothing else was on it. No salsa, no garnishes... When she took a bite, she said it really did taste like velveeta cheese. We were pretty stunned by the presentation. I mean this is El Paso, you expect to have amazing Mexican food or maybe even great Mexican food! This dish looked and tasted like a hungry teenager made it at home with the only ingredients he could find in the fridge. We spoke with the manager and to our shock, he actually confirmed that they did indeed use sliced cheese on top. My friend sent it back and ordered an omelette. Expectations were low at this point and when the omelette came out, it was lackluster as well. The Kitchen @ 150 Sunset is absolutely awesome. The food, atmosphere and service were beyond our expectations. It was first time in El Paso and looked up somewhere to eat and they were one of the first to pop up. All great reviews and I can understand why. We went for breakfast and I had the Breakfast Toastie which is out of this world. Finally a perfect breakfast sandwich with a salad that had a dressing that was great. My daughter had the Challah French toast which was delicious and my wife had the Breakfast Quesadilla which was awesome also. The presentation of the food is outstanding and was so delicious. We will come back to El Paso just because of the Kitchen @ 150 Sunset. The whole set up of restaurant and store are magnificent. Super weird experience here. I came for lunch and thought I'd order a cocktail because it seemed like they had a solid menu. The guy seemed so put off and confused by my ordering a drink. He then came back with another person and asked what I wanted then walked away and came right back to ask for ID. I have no problem being ID'd, I'm 32 so it's kind of great, but the entire experience made me feel like some kind of criminal for ordering a cocktail at noon. I finally asked him if he was put off by my ordering a drink and he said "well we don't really get people ordering drinks. We have one other table and that's it.". OK, cool, I can appreciate that but the way him and his server buddy were acting you would have thought I ordered some kind of drug at the table. If a place doesn't feel comfortable with people ordering cocktails, perhaps you shouldn't serve them. read more

Found this place on Yelp minutes after landing in El Paso from Austin. We were looking for something light and healthy. We parked in the back and walked thru a garden style area and passed a special event/wedding venue and found our breaky spot tucked away awaiting for us! Plenty of outdoor covered seating.. we walked in and got greeted by the hostess and quickly got a table for 2. Super chic interior and I noticed a wine bar in the back.... ordered 2 cappuccinos to start. I got the breakfast quesadilla with no ham and hubs got the blueberry cinnamon pancakes. He didn't eat much due to it having bacon bits throughout. He must not have read that fine little detail. Everything else was great, I shared my food and he picked off the pig as much as he could.. I was hoping to have a bite or two of his but passed since the bacon! Reason for the 4 stars... our sever didn't clear our small table after stopping by a couple times.. and my hubs had to wait quite awhile to ask for syrup... was thinking it should have come out with the pancakes. I also saw a sweet little doggo come in so I'm thinking they are dog friendly! Maybe just on patio. That's a big plus! This was a nice breaky spot and if we are ever back in EP we will be back for lunch and some vino.... I also told my friends that recently moved to EP to check this place out. Good coffee.. We were visiting family in El Paso and found this restaurant on Yelp. So many good reviews, we had to come try it! Around 1200N we arrived, on a Wednesday. The property is kinda tucked away, and the parking lot was smallish, but there appeared to be additional parking outside the gated area. You walk past the store-area and a gift shop, and the Kitchen is in the back. But it was a nice walk, as it is nicely landscaped. We had a bit of a wait before someone acknowledged us, then when the hostess arrived and she informed us that it'll be a short wait to prepare a table to accommodate us (2 adults 4 children ). It wasn't too long. We were seated outside, and the day was beautiful! They had misters outside which made it that much nicer. I've been on a mimosa kick, so I ordered that and it was delicious. The champagne didn't wash out the juice, but you definitely felt good after a few sips! The food took a long time to come out, but the server was on top of things and kept us hydrated. I prefer that they bring the kid's meals first, which didn't happen but I hadn't stated it... that's a personal thing. I ordered a Cobb salad, add chicken, opted for ranch instead of the vinaigrette (nothing against it, just felt more like ranch this day)and I ordered the tomato-basil soup. It was so good! I couldn't believe how flavorful it was. I also asked for a pico de gallo or salsa and she brought me their house green chile and a pico de gallo. The green chile was also very flavorful and Spicy! I put it in the soup! I also asked for a little container to take home with me. The salad was plentiful, the greens fresh, chicken was grilled but not dry. The server/s checked on us, but not too frequently, and kept our water full. After ordering drinks ( not the best mimosas) but the bar tender was lovely, we were seated - no one approached us for at least 10 mins , not even to tell us they were running behind or anything. There were a few servers on the floor working but just filling water glasses and chatting with other guests while we waited patiently for someone to acknowledge us. I ended up asking the host what the hold up was.... Finally a server took our order, was apologetic and kind. If feel the wait staff could have been a little more aware of their floor and guests. I have heard a lot of good things about this place. Several friends have been there for breakfast and raved about it. My visit was in the evening for dinner. It was not a pleasant experience. I was there to celebrate my birthday. It took a while to get someone to take our drink order. I ordered the 150 Primavera Chicken. During our wait no one came by to check if we needed refills. When the food finally arrived, there was no chicken in the dish. It took more than 5 minutes to find someone to flag down to come to us. They remade the dish, but, my friends had already eaten and our glasses needed refills. Whomever was our wait person provided horrible service. We were looking for a Sunday brunch spot and searched on yelp and discovered this gem by accident. I was so excited to see the local flare in the restaurant and garden area that is surrounded by plants, fountains and amazing decor. Ambiance-wise, I understand why people like The Kitchen at 150 Sunset. Other than that, there's not much to this place. Maybe I should have ordered something other than the Cobb Salad, but the red wine vinaigrette was extremely oily to accompany a salad that already has avocados in it (Read: super oily). The service was also extremely slow and inattentive. Overall, it seemed like our server forgot he was covering our table. Needless to say, I probably won't be coming here anytime soon. After a doctor appointment this morning in El Paso, we went to the Kitchen at 150 Sunset for lunch. My wife had a turkey sandwich, with at least an inch and a half of meat plus fixings. This place was an amazing place to have brunch. The menu wasn't too extensive but they had some delicious meals. Our party ordered the French Toast, The Toastie breakfast sandwich (pictured) and the Cinnamon Bacon Pancakes. All the food was perfectly prepared and delivered quickly. Was looking for a place to grab breakfast on the way back to LA, and this spot is tucked away almost on the western edge of El Paso. We ate on the patio which was shaded and quite cool at the time, though I can see it getting a bit uncomfortable later in the day. I ended up having the French Toast which was great. It's just slightly on the pricey side for breakfast, so I wouldn't recommend if you're just looking for a quick bite.
