Stopped in for dinner and ended up only staying for one drink and 1 app as we got served several minutes after people who arrived after us and were seated at the same community table. Drinks and app were fine, probably would have ordered more drinks or even dinner after seeing the delicious looking food coming out of the kitchen had we had someone check on us more than once after giving us our drinks. There was no recommendation of items off the menu. The eye roll from the server when dropped off the check didn't help either. PIZZA was Amazing!!! But that was the only positive of my visit. Our waitress refilled her coffee more times than she actually came by our table. Someone else walking by our table had to ask if we needed to-go boxes. This would have easily been a 5 Star review if we had even gotten mediocre service. If you're looking for a cold beer, the bar looks like a great time. The service in the restaurant feel short tonight though. The waitress literally walked back and forth from the hostess stand to coffee station near the kitchen avoiding eye contact majority of our time there. Very poor service. I went with a group of friends to watch some football, but one of the bartenders, who I supposed was the owner, was rude from the start. Acted as if we didn't deserve his attention and then proceeded to confront us about our legal with attitude IDs. This continued throughout the night. A few good things about this place is the beer selection and availability of outside seating. However, the food menu is small with limited selections. I've had a burger and fries on one occasion, which was pretty good. My boyfriend had a grilled chicken sandwich, which left something to be desired- was a bit dry. Another occasion I tried a salad with grilled chicken, which was actually tasty and had fresh ingredients. I think the place would be more appealing if there were more menu options. My desire to return here is limited by the lack of variety on the menu. read more

I have no idea how this place gets four stars. I will start with the positive. They did a nice job on the interior and even though it was too cold for the patio it looked nice also. Let's start with the constructive criticism. We sat down at the bar, asked for what local beers they had, the bartender said we have a beer list, gave it to us but mentioned nothing of what beers where local. We then asked for the menu. Nothing really jumped out so we got the sliders and chopped salad. The salad was good but you can't really mess up a salad. I would have rather eaten White Castle sliders than these. The bun was at least 2" thick and the meat was maybe 1/4" thick. It was supposed to have chopped red onion. There was maybe 3 pieces of onion. It was dry and gross. On a side note, there is a local brewery next door. Why in the hell wouldn't they sell their beer? Oh, and I would like to add it was freezing in there. I left my coat on to eat. What a good place to have a bite and grab a beer. I got the clam chowder (which h is a must if you like NE chowder) and the mozzarella sticks were very good. Good beer selection with about 10 beers on tap from IPA to stouts. read more

Came out of the movies hungry, and was so surprised that every place we tried was closed. I Remembered this place and they were open. First off, walked in to find no one at the hostess stand. Stood there for a good 5 mins before the bar tender motioned us to take a table. He informed us the kitchen closes in 15 minutes. Oh great, I thought to myself. He came back, took our order. What gets me is this, I don't care if your closing in a hour or not. I'm entitled to the same service as the same paying customer who was there earlier. The funny thing is I recognize one waitress here, that also works in a pub near by who I thought wasn't Too friendly or into good service. Is it to hard to be friendly to your customers??? Just a "how's it going tonight", do you need anything every once in awhile. The food was ok. Just ok. Nothing to say, wow. The burger comes with shoe string potato fries, again, nothing special or seasoning. I did like the wings, but needed sauce cause they were dry but we never saw anyone again. They were too busy cleaning up. I would have rather them say, hey we are open but we close at 11:00 and use the last hour to clean so your on your own. Let the customer decide. My philosophy is and will always be; make your customers experience great. Not just OK. Just OK doesn't bring them back. Regardless! read more

Service was slow to greet us, but once the waitress started to serve us there were no complaints. We had the onion rings which were great then got one of the pizzas and this was by far the best non-pizzeria pizza we've had. It was actually better than some of the local pizzerias in the area. Thin, crispy crust, sauce with a little bit of spice and the perfect amount of cheese. The music was a tad loud, maybe during dinner hours they could lower the volume a bit. Love the atmosphere here, as the indoor/outdoor bar setup is really cool. Great drinks selection here, this coming from a picky drinker. Very simplified menu makes it quick and easy to make a decision. The pizza was pretty good, and the wings are AWESOME! This place is really awesome. Love the vibes love the food love the drinks, however.... the "manager" his name is Kevin is the rudest staff member I have ever encountered. I have worked in a restaurant for seven years and have NEVER experienced a man like this. He belittles customers. There was a "2 for 1" special tonight. You would think that means two drinks for the price of one or two drinks for one right? WRONG it means two shots in a drink for the price of one. Kevin didn't tell us and when we asked after getting our drinks he was SO rude and said "you should know what two for one means". He is gruff to all the customers he makes the whole bar on edge. He is controlling and all my friends and I noticed the staff is scared of him. After telling the female waitress about his behavior she said, "I don't disagree". This man needs to go. I've never in my life experienced something like him. I was with 8 girls and we ALL feel that we will never again come back. He makes us feel uncomfortable as women and makes for just an all around bad vibe. Hopefully the staff can read this and do something. read more

We stopped by here on our night out with the Capital City Brewcycle. We walked in, finishing our drinks and were ready to sit down and order more. We were not rude or unruly, just enjoying a beautiful night out. The manager (who has the title "Chief" on his shirt) rudely yelled at us to get out. He then shooed us away from the sidewalk by the front door while we attempted to finish our drinks and decide what to do. And as if that weren't enough, "Chief" then strutted our to the brewcycle and yelled at our driver for bringing us there! Not only will we never return to this place, we encouraged the brewcycle to skip this one as well! Full boycott! read more

Wife and I gave Firestone 151 a spur-of-the-moment try on a Thursday evening before Carole King at Proctor's. Nice open modern atmosphere. Former auto repair center has 3 large overhead doors that open onto a large outdoor patio. Doors and patio not open that night, but outdoor space looks very large and nice and should be a great spot in the summer. Enjoyed the guitar player/singer. Didn't expect the live music! Menu is primarily apps, burgers, sandwiches, salads, wings, and pizza. Food was good, but menu is kind of limited. Would like to see them expand the menu a little in the future. Turned-out to be a great pre-Proctors spot. We'll definitely be back. Looking forward to trying the patio in the summer. Newly-opened brewery next door should add to the draw. The food is excellent but the bar service is quite poor. Rachel the waitress was fabulous, and ended up serving us at the bar because the bartenders were uninterested. We went there tonight and it was horrible. First have a sign that says seat yourself if u have everyone working a patio and not looking at the door. Second we sat and took about 8 minutes for someone to notice you. Then other people sat and ordered and got drinks. Other tables that came in got Thier food before us. The server was slow hated life and didn't give a crap he was working. He took 3 other people's order before us and we were there 15 minutes before them. We got 2 sodas a chicken sandwich and a burger. The chicken sandwich was like it was cooked last week and heated in a steamer and hung out to dry. The only thing I can say was good was the frys and soda and outdoor seating. Not a fan. Menu was hard to read. Servers were confused and yelling at eachother on who had what table. Clueless. I find it almost humorous that a restaurant whose biggest differentiator is that the clientele can sit outside and eat on the sidewalk of a dirty street in Schenectady, can show such disregard for its clientele. My son is the president of a fraternity at the local college, and we took about 16 of his brothers for dinner there. Two had food allergies and the wait staff and management couldn't be bothered to even try to show an accommodation. I called once more and asked if they had Gluten Free buns for their burgers to accommodate an allergy, and they basically hung up on me. No. Just no. We arrived and entered through the main entrance. There was a board in front of the hostess stand that said "wait to be seated". No staff in sight. We stood unacknowledged for a few minutes before a customer who was leaving told us we should just go sit down. So we went to the patio area and asked a waitress if we needed to wait to be seated as the sign said or we should just sit. She seemed flustered but then sat us at a dirty table. Fine. She came back to clean it eventually and started spraying the cleaner and misting us. Spray it on the towel so you don't hit the customers. She was young though so maybe she doesn't know better. We ordered drink and food. The crowd was a lot. A dude was smoking right next to us, under the overhang and nobody said a thing. He seemed to be a regular and was with a big group of loud people. We got margherita pizza & salad. The salad came with no dressing and the pizza sauce tasted like jarred Prego sauce. The waitress didn't check on us until we were already done eating. Again, probably not a very experienced waitress so I won't hold it against her. Everything else though made us want to leave as soon as possible. Never again. read more

We took a basketball team of eight and their families here for lunch at 1:30. About 20 people total. Spent a good amount of $. Food was decent and close so after our last game returned at 8:45 for dinner with Kids 13-15 years old and myself. Instead of being greeted by the hostess,we were greeted by an immature, tough guy wanna be,muscle bound, half wit bouncer asking for IDs. I explained to him we wanted to sit and eat dinner as we did at lunch time. "I need to see IDs". The place was not busy. Not some disco inferno, Empty tables everywhere equals lost money for the owner on this night and in the future. We will not be returning.This is obviously not a family friendly establishment. The hostess should have taken charge and either tried to work with us or explain the policy to us. Met my wife for a drink about 4pm on a Wednesday. Good atmosphere but I have to say the bar keeps were a little lax. I ordered a Manhattan and my wife a Cosmo. Both were OK at best. However that is not my biggest gripe. After paying 10 dollars a drink I would hope for a bar keep to at least check to see if we liked the drinks or not. As far as the location, the set up of having both indoor and outdoor seating the location is great. The table service and bar service are both horrible. Have had more than one bad experience. Several of my friends will not go back. Waitresses are not assigned to tables and share the responsibility -- however how does one waitress know if the other has recently checked on a given table. I have had to get up and go to the bar to get my own drink. Even the limited menu would not be a concern- but if you cant place an order and get food and drink in a timely manner with follow up then no reason to to go to a Bar restaurant.
