My husband and I have eaten here at LEAST 4 times. Service has always been outstanding, food hand crafted and delicious. Always fresh and in season and carefully paired with delicious wines and cocktails. We bought a wine locker opening week and the benefits with that were worth it. We try come at least every couple week. The tasting menu is great because it's a small plate of something different for each week so you can try a bunch of many different tastes. David and the crew at 160 Main in Northville do a great job in creating great food, creating a great atmosphere, and creating a great dining experience. Of course, when your venue connects to downtown Northville's beautiful Town Square, it's hard to mess that up. But other venues in this same location have in the past. Not so with 160 Main. Some of the best food in Northville, and an elegant yet approachable dining experience. No white tablecloths, no fussy servers. I've dined at 160 many times, and I've always received excellent service, and never a bad meal. My only constructive criticism is that they could amplify the "fun factor", but the servers have always been engaging and focused on diner's experience. They ain't cheap, but dining experiences like 160 Main shouldn't be. Pro tip: If Amanda is working the bar, you're in luck. She always makes me feel like I'm at "Cheers", where everybody knows your name. Come early if you can to beat the crowds - which will also allow you to peruse the rest of downtown Northville and explore shops and other fun nooks and crannies. This place is amazing. Their kind staff got us a table late on a Saturday night. The bar staff helped us decide on our order while we waited for a table to open up. Literally the best Italian food I've ever tasted. Idk who's Grandmother is in the kitchen but she knows what she's doing lol. Definitely recommend the crab cakes for an appetizer. This was by far the best service and food/drinks that I've had in a while. The best part, to me, was the fact that we accidentally stayed almost an hour and a half past closing time and they never said a word to us. My husband and I went here last night and we really enjoyed our experience! We had reservations and it was quite busy but they sat us right on time. Very friendly hostess and waitstaff. The place also looks fantastic and they did a wonderful job with the renovations. We wanted to give several dishes a try so had the grilled shrimp and the aranchini appetizers and then I got the sicilian chicken and my husband got the pescatore with linguini. I am Italian and have high standards for these foods and wasn't expecting much but all were very good! The ammoglio sauce was on point! I took some photos but all were pretty much after we started eating. You can tell that they are new and still figuring out their systems but with a little time, I think this place will be even better. The only real downside was that it was pretty noisy, although not as bad as some other places (i.e. Center Street Grill). We will be back! read more

This was our first time at 160 Main and overall, we enjoyed it! The meal started with some bread and sauce - the sauce was delicious! My husband LOVED it. We ordered calamari and the charcuterie board to start - the calamari was fresh and a large portion size, but the charcuterie board was a let down. There was hardly any cheese and one of the meat choices was eh - definitely overpriced for what you got. My husband got the gnocchi and I had the lasagna - the gnocchi was like a 7/10 but the lasagna was a delicious 9.5/10. read more

Went for a light dinner and drinks. It was my first time. The manager, Miguel, was very accommodating and attentive. My server, Marco, was ON POINT. I wasn't sure what I wanted to drink so he just brought me the most delicious concoction and it was perfect. Drink #2 without having to ask? Yes, please. He made excellent food recommendations and I was very pleased. Everything was delicious and the service was spectacular. Definitely going back. read more

New Italian place with a cool interior. Service was great - friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Wish the food was as good. The Tuscan artichoke appetizer sounded good in theory but was very bland. The bread basket and dipping sauce was much better. Lamb chops special was very good. Lasagne was very disappointing. Really disappointed in this place. It was as though they had just opened and were scrambling to figure out how to run a restaurant. Ordered the artichoke appetizer at the rec of server - 5 tiny grilled pieces of artichoke for 12$. Then ordered the eggplant parm which - despite what the menu said - came with no parm and no pasta. It was just a bowl of sauce and eggplant for $20. When we asked the server why the eggplant parm had no, well, parm (cheese) she said it should have had cheese and left it at that. So the chef just didn't add the cheese? She offered to bring us a bowl of plain pasta to accompany the dish but after 20 minutes of waiting for it to come we finally just at the bowl of eggplant and sauce and got the check. Everyone seemed very young and confused about their jobs. I'd avoid this place until they get a better chef/management/staff/menu. read more

We had dinner last night and overall I would give this restaurant a 4.5. So here is the low-down: 1. Restaurant cleanliness, decor and vibe: B+ Its a beautiful hip place. The only complaint was the restaurant was cold from people coming in. Otherwise, it would have been an A. 2. Friendly hostess who introduced herself and said if there was anything she could do to make our experience better, let her know (this is rare in restaurants and I give her kudos for this). A+ 3. Waiter: Friendly, knowledgable waitstaff: B+ to A: Good waiter. My only complaint is that we came to the table and would start talking, interrupting us in conversation. He should pause, say "excuse me" and then proceed. He kept water on the table and the table clean of old dishes and debris. He did his job. 4: Speed of service: B. It took about 1/2 hour to get our initial drinks (way too slow), and usually my drink was empty before offered another. Fix that, and you have superb service. Hor d'oeuvres and food came out at normal times. 5: Quality of food: B+ Obviously I only had one meal (lasagna) and it was good. I do wish there was a side with it (even if it s bit of the eggplant or something and maybe I would order that entree next time). Everyone else enjoyed their meals...so the quality is there. How d'oeuvres were good (mozzarella (the picante is superb) and shrimp). 6. Signature cocktails: B We each ordered one and tried them. The Black Manhattan is a solid A (and I don't even like Manhattans). The others were good in the B range. The pic below is the Stonewall (rum and ginger). 7. Price: B: $50/person, which is not bad. We shared 2 Hor d'oeuvres, several drinks each and an entree. Too full for dessert. So, this restaurant really has the potential to be a 5 in Northville and I am confident they will achieve that. We spent almost 3 hours there and so we were in no hurry to leave. They are new and growing, and I would definitely return. read more

The restaurant is located right in the heart of Northville downtown. I always prefer the outdoor dining here. So beautiful at night when the quadrangle is fully lit. The ambience is excellent. Courteous staff and great service. It'd be wonderful if they included more vegetarian options to the menu. Overall a fantastic place for a date night or a ladies' night out! Nice atmosphere but I will never step foot into this restaurant again--not even to use the bathroom. Food portion was terrible. Payed $16 for 4 pieces of shrimp...RIDICULOUS. After ordering waitress offered a salad. One would assume it's complimentary since she said "do you want the house salad or Caesar?" I payed $6 for a ridiculously small salad. Calamari wasn't crunchy at all it was super soggy and no croutons, it was stale bread. Drinks were watered down and only refilled twice..I had to ask for it to be refilled for the second time. This is a copy of the email I sent to 160 Main directly: We visited 160 Main this past Friday and had a reservation for 4 at 6:45 pm, Matt King. Our expectations were very high. The friends who came with us had been there twice before and said their meals had been good. I am sorry to say my wife and I were both sadly disappointed. Our comments are as follows: HIGHS * Server, Brock, was good. He was pleasant and provided attentive service. * The artichoke heart and capers appetizer was very good. * My wife enjoyed the Chianti. * The table setting was nice. * Upstairs nice. * Wife's house salad was fine. LOWS * My stuffed dover sole was tough, cold and the crab stuffing was like mush. * My wife's gnocchi, she said tasted like paste. * The booth we sat in seems like it would be at the local diner. The lack of table cloth on the Formica style table was surprising. * The tremendous amount of time and effort that was invested in the building, I expected a lot more ambiance. o Two other couples we spoke to at our son's basketball tournament this past Saturday had similar comments to food and ambiance. * For the $100 (only one glass of wine) we spent plus $25 tip I was unfortunately very disappointed. The restaurant was make with hard surfaces everywhere, it made the restaurant VERY noisy. We sat upstairs and the noise from the other tables upstairs and downstairs alike was so bad that conversation was difficult to impossible. There's an option for build your own pasta. I asked for Fettucine Carbonara with shrimp. 5 min after I ordered, the waiter comes back and said they don't have the sauce to do Carbonara, nor do they have fettuccine noodles. I asked what sauces they had, was told they had an Alfredo Sauce, and chose another type of noodle. I said that would be fine. 5 min later, the waiter comes back and said they had sent someone to the store to buy fettuccine noodles. When the dish arrived, it didn't have fettuccine noodles the alfredo sauce was a mess and it came with 3 shrimp. I understand the restaurant is new and going through the initial pains of getting things right on the food side and would be willing to give it another try if food was the only issue. However a restaurant that is so loud you can't have a conversation with the person across the table is not a pleasant way to spend an evening. read more

The interior is modern, stylish, and comfortable. I do wish the lighting was a bit dimmer for dinner service. This was probably my biggest issue with our dining experience because it felt very bright and not very intimate or romantic for an Italian date night dinner. The service was excellent, and the food was good. The risotto was delicious but wasn't as creamy and tender as I'd expect in a risotto. The veal saltimbocca with spinach lacked seasoning. This was our first time at 160 Main, and the food was good but not what I expect from fine dining. Still, we'll definitely go back because the service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and with new restaurants, it can take some time to find their rhythm. read more

It is mediocre Italian food. The bread and sauce served with it was my favorite part of the meal. The pasta did not taste homemade, which is what I was hoping for. Aperol spritz was very weak but better once I asked for more aperol. The environment is nice. I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed in the food. The chicken in the pasta had a weird slime coating. My husband and I spent a few weeks in Italy this year and we're hoping since it's an Italian chef that we would feel like we were in Italy again, but not so much. :( if you're looking for great Italian I recommend Cafe Cortina in Farmington Hills or Nico and Vali in Plymouth. read more

I don't have any pictures of the food because we ate it too quickly! This is a wonderful place for a special night out. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here last night and I am so glad we chose to dine here. Our reservation somehow got messed up, but the front of house manager Monica went above and beyond to make sure we could still dine there that evening. Our appetizer (fried zucchini) was incredible...the zucchini was still crisp tender on the inside and the mozzarella was fresh. I ordered the chef's lasagna for my entree and my husband had the quail...both outstanding and I had enough to bring home for leftovers :) The entire staff was professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Im a local business owner trying to support another local business and I was SO extremely disappointed in the service at this restaurant. I was motivated to go after watching a video on Facebook but what I saw on the video was nothing like what I experienced in person this evening. I went without a reservation but it is Thursday evening and when I walked in the restaurant both inside and on the patio was fairly desolate maybe 5 to 7 parties. There was no one attending at the hostess stand and I waited there for some time when I finally asked the bartender if I could have a seat at the bar which he said it was fine. But I was actually meeting two other people. The bar was not really conducive for our get together and since no one was around and the tables were wide-open out on the patio I went and sat down hoping someone would come to assist me. I finally flagged a waiter down who said he would get the maître d'. The manager or maître d' said that since I was not "properly seated" I should follow him back inside which I did. He walked very swiftly ahead of me and when I got inside the restaurant I didn't know where he went. I asked a server and he said he was at the host stand. I waited at the side entry and again no assistance. He finally came back from the hostess stand and said you need to walk back to the host stand to get seated there was literally nobody waiting and The restaurant bare !!! So I did as I was told which seemed a little demeaning quite frankly but I was following protocol and then he told me he could not see me until my full party arrived. Seriously??? So I walked around outside and finally went to table 5 where I got seated properly and treated with five star service! So disappointed and this was my first time here. read more

What a nice new jewel in the heart of downtown Northville. My wife and I have eaten here a couple of times; love it. Visited this restaurant on July 18th, there was only one other table that was seated outside, we got there just after they opened at 4:15pm. My daughter ordered the Saltimbocca, chicken with prosciutto. Parts of the chicken were raw, unfortunately she didn't notice until after eating a few bites. We called the manager over to show him, he said he would take it back and show the chef, he never came back. Our waiter (who was great), told us we didn't have to pay for the chicken dish. We could not believe there was no apology, no trying to make it up to us, nothing. The waiter tried to talk to the manager and he refused to speak to us again. My daughter posted it on Instagram and tagged 160 Main, their response was that she was wrong and the chicken was not raw. So you don't apologize and then call your guests liars, Wow! They did offer to refund all our money, which the next day I went and did just that. The manager apologized then, and said that he was sorry and yes the chicken was raw, he was the one who took it back to the chef. He was not the one who posted anything to Instagram. Also, while the staff wore face shields outside, they did not wear then inside, even when guests were there. I think the law requires a face mask. read more

The seafood here is incredible. I'm from Boston and I am impressed. The Pescatore with it's prawn like shrimp was so flavorful as was the swordfish with capers and tomatoes.
