Date: September 17, 2025 Our mom group was playing at a park in the area and decided to get some fuel first. Walked over to 1802 roasters and couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's a small store but does have two tables and some chairs for indoor seating. They do have a restroom so always a plus. The ladies were all super friendly and so kind. Complimented my babies and that's the best compliment to a mother. Ordered a matcha latte with whole milk and its sweetened with agave. Which was perfectly sweetened! Loved my whole drink! Thank you so much for a great morning pick me up!

Cute little spot! Great for studying or working! They also have plenty of parking. I ordered the vanilla latte with almond milk for 6.95.

Delicious fresh baked bagels and homemade schmear. Didn't get a chance to try their roastery options since I only came in for a bagel and some book time. Music is a bit loud for reading, but the music was pleasant! If you need a quiet shop to study or work this may be a stop and go spot but very tasty bagels. Can't wait to try more, quick and friendly service too. Wednesday at 10am is a quiet time.

    Welcome to CAFÉ 1802.

1802 Café is a small coffee roaster and coffee shop based in Cypress Park, Los Angeles. They have a modest selection of coffee and tea blends (hot/cold). Similarly, they offer bagels for breakfast. From the outside, you can hardly notice 1802 because it blends well with other bldgs. However, once inside your eyes wil be transformed how modern and organized this cafe. They have limited rear parking lot. Drinks were fairly priced. Staff were cool and affable. I had a small 1802 Cold Brew x milk. And it was good; perfect on a hot afternoon. Overall, I had a good drink and experience.

Nice local coffee shop. There's space to sit and enjoy your drinks and food. Bagel shmear was a favorite! The pistachio cardamom bun was tasty. Service was good.

This is a pretty chill coffee shop in Cypress Park. It seems popular as it's always busy with people coming and going, waiting in line to order. It can be difficult to find a place to sit at the tables or along the workbench. However, I managed to find a spot both times I've visited. The stool seats at the wall workbench are surprisingly comfortable, and they have a few outlets to plug in your devices. I've enjoyed their espresso tonic. They also have a seasonal espresso cola (cola soda instead of tonic water) that I plan on trying. It's fun to peruse their creative drink menu! It seems they no longer offer pastries, but have bagels instead. I tried their calamansi bagel. The cream cheese was yummy; the bagel was tougher or chewier than what I prefer. Overall, a reliable place for coffee and bagels while reading, getting some work done, or catching up with friends. The parking lot has limited spaces and is a bit awkwardly configured in my experience, but there's also street parking.

Plenty of parking, plenty of seating both inside and outside. There is a door on the side of the building but that is not the entrance! The actual entry door is on the corner by the street. Their menu had so many options for drinks whether you like coffee or not. Their bagel options were also plentiful. They had an interesting ube cream cheese which sounded so good. I got the seasonal black sesame latte which was amazing and I highly recommend. It comes standard with some oat milk which was nice! I also got the onion bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was not the best because the onion part fell EVERYWHERE and cream cheese amount wasn't the best. The only think that was kinda off was the service. The people who work there seemed a little displeased with everything. Even the older man that had ordered after me got a not so happy attitude from the barista. For people with anxiety: park in their lot which you can get in through cypress avenue. The entry for the cafe is on the north west corner of the building. Walk over to the counter and order what you want, Apple Pay is available. They will call your name when your order is ready, you can pickup at the counter that's around the right side of the order counter.

Situated in a very limited strip of new shops of a gentrified street in Cypress Park, this café is an interesting aspect of the changing face of this area. I grew up around the corner, and for the most part it's still a working class Latino community, with some younger faces who have moved in and bought property in the area. That being said, their coffee is pretty decent. I ordered a spice chai latte iced and tasted pretty much like how a latte would taste. Bagels were very good but I'm not sure I would drive all the way back for it specifically. I felt a little judged when I had stepped in. In fact, it took the barista about a couple of seconds after I had spoken to her in English for her to greet me. And I only spoke to her because she had been staring straight at me as I stood in front of the counter. No one else was in line at the time. Parking is limited, and I would've preferred just to park on the street rather than potentially get my car scratched from how tight the spots could be .

Jack pulls every shot, froths every pitcher of milk, and crafts every single pour-over himself. Because he is the only one making the drinks, the quality is meticulous and utterly uncompromising. As a dedicated pour-over drinker, it's incredibly rare for me to find a shop that outperforms what I can brew at home, but Jack delivers the perfect cup every single time. The drink was well executed overall, with a nice texture, good balance, and clean presentation. What stood out most was how clearly the coffee itself came through. Once the drink cooled just slightly, I was really able to pick up the characteristics of the coffee, and those flavors became even more apparent toward the end of the cup. If I had one small technical critique, it would be that the drink was served just a hair hotter than my personal preference for a cortado. Not by much, but enough that I felt the sweetness and nuance opened up a bit more as the temperature dropped. Beyond that, the milk integration was solid, the body held together well throughout the drink, and it was an enjoyable from start to finish. One thing I really appreciated was getting to watch Jack work. You can immediately see the passion and attention to detail he brings to his craft. It's rare to see someone so committed to quality that they're willing to remake a drink as many times as necessary until they're completely satisfied with it. That level of care and consistency is something any coffee enthusiast can respect.

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.

I stumbled across their Yelp page when I was visiting from out of town and checked the Instagram for their hours on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to see they were open! I am a sucker for pop-up coffee shop/cart concepts so I had to check it out. The pop-up is easy to find, it's outside facing into the parking lot, and they had a cute A-frame sign out by the street side. There was no line, and I ordered and sat down at one of the tables out front. The service was so warm, and I believe the shop is owned and operated by one man on his own! He was an absolute delight to meet, and he brought my matcha latte to me at the table when it was prepared. He suggested I get the cream top on it, and boy was that the perfect recommendation. I would say I'm a little bit of a matcha fiend... I think I got a matcha latte at 3 different places this day... and this one far surpassed the others. I think it was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever drank to-date. It was perfectly green, the matcha quality was phenomenal, both taste and look-wise. The texture was just right, perfectly creamy with barely any grittiness. The cream top only added to the drink, and didn't take away from the matcha flavor at all, which I feel like has happened at other places for me. I'm dreaming of this matcha latte days later, and need to go back to Kokoro No Coffee as soon as I am in town again. This was a spectacular find, and I hope this spot gets all the love it deserves! There is truly nothing like a great business ran by a great person and you can tell there's so much intention put into this concept. Highly, highly recommend and I could not sing praises more!
