    Piloncillo cold brew
    Day V.

The barista besties were so funny! When I visited it was almost the end of the day, but they were still on top of it. The cafe is so cute and a great place to study or catch up with the chat. I did ask for something sweet, I wanted something to satisfy my mood. The baristas offered the piloncillo cold brew. It was more bitter than sweet. Which was a sad piece but it was still good. It was such a great price I will say. So I'll definitely come back!

Little gem spot in DTLA! I work nearby and had been searching for a good coffee shop in the area. It looks like this place opened recently, and it immediately caught my attention. The interior design is simple yet inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Plus, they offer free parking, which is a huge bonus in DTLA! I tried the iced matcha with cream on top, and it was incredibly refreshing. The combination of the rich cream and smooth matcha was delicious. I also ordered the Spanish latte, which had the perfect level of sweetness, and I absolutely loved the espresso flavor. The service was excellent as well--everyone was friendly and welcoming. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely be coming back.

Carne asada burrito. Ordered special with beef and beans only. My wife loved hers with all the fixings.

Dos Cuervos Cafe - A Burrito & Coffee Experience Worth Talking About. We stopped into Dos Cuervos Cafe and were seriously impressed from the first bite to the last sip. I ordered the carne asada burrito with their special creamy cilantro sauce and it set the bar high. What makes a great burrito? It starts with the tortilla, fresh and perfectly textured , wrapped around beef that's seasoned just right, tender, and full of flavor. The beans tasted so homemade you'd swear someone's mother was in the kitchen making them from scratch. Every element worked together beautifully. My wife ordered the iced vanilla latte and now she's officially spoiled. She's been a dedicated coffee lover for years and said this was, without question, the best latte she's ever had. Smooth, balanced, and crafted with care. The ambience is chill and comfortable, with a clean, West LA-style decor that feels modern but welcoming. The entire place is spotless and inviting. Service was top-tier, personable, attentive, and genuinely friendly. If you drop in, ask for Cole.... you'll be glad you did. In my book, this place deserves a triple-A rating. We'll definitely be back.

new favorite coffee shop in Lincoln heights! I love the cafe de olla, asada breakfast burrito, and the chilaquiles are TO DIE FOR. I can't stop thinking about the breakfast burrito (it's just like La Azteca iykyk). Staff is so friendly and everything comes out so quickly! Decent amount of seating inside and lots of parking on main st. Highly highly recommend!!!!!

There's a new neighborhood cafe in Lincoln Heights on the corner of Main and Workman called Dos Cuervos Cafe! There's plenty of street parking and a small lot in the back. Service was friendly and quick. This cafe is owned by a local! The inside is huge and there's plenty of seating inside. Standouts are the burritos! The meat quality is exceptional and delicious. The asada was spectacular and very filling. The tortillas used are perfectly textured and each bite will leave you wanting more and more. I also got the hojicha latte - it was nutty, smooth, and not too sweet. I would come back for this drink! Come by and support local!

There's a distinct, intentional vibe the moment you step inside. The design leans into a simple, elegant minimalism dark, moody ceilings paired with warm geometric wall patterns that keep the space feeling modern rather than cold. Large windows flood the floor with natural light, striking that rare chord of being visually sharp but entirely unpretentious. What makes the atmosphere work so well, though, is the service. The staff is genuinely attentive in a way you don't always find at busy cafes. The cashier was incredibly welcoming, taking the initiative to ask if we wanted our pastries warmed up. He even brought over an extra plate for my significant other without us even having to ask a small, intuitive detail that really sets a place apart. The food, treats, & coffee: The breakfast burrito is flavor balanced. The sausage and egg wasn't the usual salty, which I loved. Pickled shallots and jalapenos offer a bright, tangy crunch, while a perfectly spiced red sauce ties everything together without overpowering the burrito. The chocolate chip cookie is flat, featuring a rich pool of chocolate right in the center with a light scattering of sea salt flakes to bring out the depth. Meanwhile, the cinnamon roll is capped with a thick, beautifully whipped frosting that looks indulgent but smartly holds back on the sugar, letting the warmth of the cinnamon actually speak for itself. To round it all out, the cortado is excellent. A good cortado is all about the ratio, and this one hits the mark by pulling back on any harsh acidity to deliver an incredibly smooth, velvety texture. The clean, natural bitterness of the espresso cuts through the milk just enough to remind you it's there, making every sip satisfying.

Great coffee, loved the blood raven cold brew. Staff were really nice, explained the beverages and food items. Breakfast burritos are big enough for 2 people to share, I loved the pickled onions in the.

Great carne asada burritos and pretty spot-on matcha latte. Also, great service: efficient and friendly.

Cool new spot with some decent matcha drinks. It wasn't the best drink I've had but it was good. Tried the burrito as well which was surprisingly tasty. I would try again once they perfect things a bit more. Cheers.

Loved the breakfast burrito and drinks here. I definitely will come back to try more of the menu! The staff is super nice and work hard to get orders out quick.

Heard about this place from a friend so I stopped by during their soft opening. It's in a quiet part of town and they have a small parking lot and patio in the back. When I got there it was packed. It looked like a run club finished their run and was hanging out there. It was loud. For their soft opening special, everything is 20% off so I ended up trying one of their specialty drinks - a matcha marzapan latte. The staff explained to me that the marzapan is a Mexican cookie that they turn into a cream foam for the latte. I got mine with almond milk which is an extra cost. The matcha wasn't as strong as I'd like it to be and I didn't really taste anything special with the foam so I was a little disappointed. The staff were very friendly though so I'll probably go back and try a coffee item next time.

Apparently, Dos Cuervos recently opened in the area. Was in the area and looking for coffee. Love their coffee vs Starbucks. I saw that they have burritos, etc. I will need to try it next time I am in the area. Love their decor.

The barista explained that this was a known issue because the lids do not fit properly on the smaller cups, mentioning that management was aware. If this is a known problem, staff should either use an appropriate lid or warn customers before handing them the drink. It has now been a few weeks, and despite my attempts to reach the manager, I have not received a response. I would appreciate an explanation regarding the incident. I also hope this serves as an opportunity to train staff to take ownership of these situations and appropriately address customer concerns, rather than simply attributing the issue to management. As for the coffee itself, the cortado was much more like a latte. I would prefer significantly less milk so that the espresso flavor comes through more. Overall, the experience could have been handled much better.

I ordered the Orange Mint Latte, Matcha Sparkling Lemonade, Einspanner White, Hibiscus Mint Sparkling Lemonade, and of course, a cortado. I also tried their Wagyu Sliders. Every drink was fantastic. What I really enjoyed was how different each one was from the next. It didn't feel like I was ordering variations of the same drink -- each had its own flavor profile, presentation, and unique touch. The Orange Mint Latte was especially interesting, and both sparkling lemonades were refreshing and completely different from what I would normally order. The Einspanner White was another standout. Overall, it was a really fun variety to try at once. The cortado was also very good. It had a nice flavor, smooth texture, and was easy to drink. Their approach is a little different from a traditional cortado presentation because the espresso and milk are fully integrated together rather than finished with latte art. I actually appreciate that style when it's executed well because the focus is more on getting the espresso and milk completely incorporated into one cohesive drink. The presentation across the entire order was also really well done. You can tell there's thought behind how everything is served and put together, which adds to the overall experience. The Wagyu Sliders were great as well. I think the food side of Archives of Us deserves more attention because they have some genuinely good food options to go along with the drinks rather than the food feeling like an afterthought. The space itself is beautifully designed with plenty of seating inside as well as an outdoor seating area. I love the overall atmosphere and aesthetic -- there are certain details about the design, presentation, and experience that remind me of coffee shops I've visited in Japan. The staff made the experience even better. Everyone was extremely friendly, kind, and welcoming. Overall, Archives of Us has a lot going for it. A beautiful space, great service, thoughtful presentation, a strong variety of drinks, solid coffee, and food worth trying as well. It's especially nice to find a coffee shop where I actually want to explore the menu beyond my usual cortado. Definitely the type of place I could see myself coming back to once a week.

I personally like the egg salad one more since I am not a meat on meat person but the bacon wagyu slider is better. I would say this place is the better version of Community Goods and does not have as long of a wait. Note - kitchen food is not served until 9:30AM so if you're an early riser or trying to get in and out, you will be out of luck. The cream top does make it very creamy and it does mask majority of the matcha flavor. It did taste like a dessert drink. It was enjoyable though. COLD BREW VANILLA Weirdly sour and smoky flavored cold brew. Slight floral flavor too. It was such an odd combination of flavors with the vanilla cold foam. The lingering aftertaste was not good either. It's neither this nor that. Would not recommend! FINANCIERS Their financiers are made by a local bakery called Musk. It seems their financier flavors are changed often, so no same flavors are in rotation. Sausage & Parmesan - The almond cake's vanilla flavor with the sausage and salty parmesan was a unique flavor. The almond cake was nice and spongy. It did take a bit of time to get used to the savory flavors with the almond cake. It's like a breakfast in an unexpected way. Nutella - Buttery almond cake with nutella and roasted hazelnuts. Enjoyed it! I think Nutella fans would like it. Mugwort + Fig - Buttery in the beginning and it ends with a good, medium-strength flavor of mugwort. Fig was garnish on top, so you barely get it. However, I like that they added the sweetness of the figs with the earthy bitter mugwort. Overall, it was uniquely delicious and mugwort was the star. Yuza + Apricot - A tad sweeter than expected due to the outer brush of yuza aka yuzu simple syrup. Loved the chewy apricot on top. It really brought a lovely fruityness to the financier. The yuzu flavor was there alongside the butteryness of the almond cake. All the financiers were done well! Delicious! Recommend trying at least one when you're at this location. Not sure if their financiers are offered at their other locations. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was good. Not terribly friendly, but still answered my questions. Staff were all busy making the drinks. AMBIANCE + SEATS Really large space with rows of tables and chairs. It was strange walking in and seeing various tables and seats to one side and it almost looked like a cafe used as office space. Seeing all the people sitting down on their laptops or talking, as though they're having a casual business meeting there. It was just strange. The tables were mixed wooden tables and chairs. There were long benches too for people waiting for takeout orders. The large space felt so roomy, I get why the tables were all taken. PARKING Street parking is available, yet when I was there in the early afternoon on a Tuesday, it was packed! The only place to park was the paid parking lot right across from Damo. Parking was $5.00. I wouldn't recommend parking elsewhere outside of that street, as it is a sketchy area and lots of homeless encampments around the area. Would I return? Not sure. I like the large, roomy warehouse space with lots of tables to sit in, but the cafe being in a sketchy area gives me hesitation. Not in love with $5.00 parking too. One of my drinks was good, but the other was bad. The only thing I loved was the financiers.
