This place is so great and has become our go-to weekend gathering spot. We meet friends here to relax and catchup. The coffee is strong and offered with a smile. I like the pour-overs but sometimes indulge in sweet cold brews. The pastries are fresh and delicious. I can buy gourmet beans and healthy juices, too. It's family-friendly and community building and one reason we look forward to Saturdays every week. We love 1802! You can't tell it's a bagel or coffee shop by its name, and outside looks pretty ugly and not the type of place you'd have to check out (especially with Loquat across the street), but the inside vibe is nice and the coffee and bagels are decent. Unfortunately they never give you a time estimate even when you call ahead so you could be waiting for a really long time for coffee and bagels... also, AT LEAST every other time I go there they mess up my order. read more

I was excited to try this place this morning on my way to work. I ordered the Chocolate Coconut cold brew (which was wonderfully not sweet) and the Spinach and artichoke pastry (delish) and a matcha croissant to go (for a snack later). The interior was cute, the front half of the shop looked put together the back area looked like it was under construction? I thought they would have salads to go (saw it in some of the yelp photos) but sadly they had very little options in their little refrigerated section. I inquired about it as well and the 2 ladies at the counter were a bit lackluster. What an awesome hot spot! Was recommended here by a friend. This place just recently opened and have a variety of drinks-teas, coffees(iced or hot). They also have a variety of food and pastries! I got the bacon and cheddar scone and a chocolate coconut iced brew. The scone was delish! Immediately devoured it so I couldn't take a picture but the drink was very good! It's not like those over-sweetened drinks where tons of sugar and syrup are added. This cold brew comprises of chocolate-y notes whilst integrating the coconut milk to give you the perfect amount of caffeine to get you through your day-whether studying, completing an escape room, ax throwing, or even running errands (which were the things I did, haha). This place is a hidden gem. From the outside, it's not in the nicest area and doesn't look like your typical coffee shop. However, the inside is spacious and definitely has a modern vibe. There is a drive through for convenience, parking, and also outdoor patio dining. There are a variety of drinks as well, including teas and lattes with different types of milk (e.g. matcha latte with macadamia nut and coconut milk) and pastries. Bagels were good. Plain one was crunchy on the outside. Onion and everything were equally tasty.

This place was a treat for sure. Highly recommend the matcha strawberry lemonade, the classic lemonade works too if they're out of strawberry. Went in there really needing my thirst quenched from returning the miter saw (from my Home Depot review that is located 3 easy minutes from this place). Got that drink and a sesame seed bagel with scallion cream cheese and became fully satiated in every way. The cream cheese was way better on a toasted bagel, it melts it and becomes super yummy. Very nice bagel and lox sandwich. The onion bagel was really good and toasted crunchy like I prefer. They were very generous with the lox and capers. I would have liked a bit more tomato and onion but it was a very nice sandwich for $13. My only complaints were they didn't cut the sandwich in half, which the should have, it took a bit too long to make the sandwich- maybe their toaster is slow and they didn't put any napkins in the to go bag. Last weekend they were celebrating their 1 year birthday and we decided to stop by. We parked a few blocks away and just walked over. They have a drive thru where you wait to order, even if you're walking. It sounds weird, but it runs pretty smoothly. There is no "exit" for the drive thru, so you have to order, then go into one of the few parking spaces there (wait for your drinks, which they will bring out to you) and then go back out the same way you came in. We ordered an iced oat vanilla latte and a hot latte. The vanilla latte was good, and not overly sweet or syrupy. The hot latte was also good and smooth. They have a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your drinks. There's some artwork along the side of the building which is fun to see. They have a Filipino food popup every weekend. It just seems like a good place to come back to and enjoy a nice coffee. They were pretty busy so there wasn't much time to get to know them better, but I'm hoping to come back soon and try more things on their menu. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to grab a coffee. This place is so cute inside, feels very high end with custom painted walls, plants everywhere and plenty of seating. This place does not allow you to go inside the establishment to place your order/pickup. It is a drive thru option only-even if you're walking they have you stand in the drive through line with the rest of cars! How unsafe is that?! The menu is located at the front of the line so use your phone to check out he website, the large (16oz) is the size of a Grande cup. The croissant was dry and the Pumpkin coffee cake was mushy, lots of cinnamon and no trace of coffee. Also there was a melted marshmallow on top:/ oh and the coffee was strong but nothing special. If you live in the area and have time to spare come here for coffee other than that Starbucks wins. read more

Cute little coffee shop I randomly decided to go to. Came here on a Monday around 9:30am. Parking lot was full but had 1 open spot (which I took). Inside is very cute and clean. I ordered the 1802 cold brew and 2 bagels. All were very good. The cashier was very friendly. My only small issue was they were stingy on the cream cheese on the bagels and the employee who was calling peoples' order wasn't loud enough (or maybe I didn't hear him). I waited for about 15 mins (or longer) and walked over to the pick up area and all my items were ready.. I didn't hear him call my name at all. read more

Waited 25 minutes for a bacon egg and cheese. Soggy and cold. The woman said, sorry your order "fell back a bit.". Truth is, they have their favorites and regulars they push orders for. 3 people ordered after me and got bagels before me. I figured they ordered on line for pickup. One woman who ordered after me and got hers ahead had a cute dog. I started petting the dog as a way to make convo and just asked hey your bagel came quick, did you order online? She said no, she comes here all the time and they know her. $15 for a soggy bagel and I have to get pushed because you have your people? We love this place! Our friends have been raving about this and we were excited to check it out. We got the plain croissants and the pistachio morning bun which were pretty good. We also got the egg sandwich on a biscuit which was delicious and smoked salmon croissant which my friend really liked (the croissant is savory). I got an oatmilk latter which was great. This place has the slowest most confused service. i've waited 20 min for a cold brew. i only come here on the weekends or when i have an extra hour to spare because i like supporting the local coffee shop. the coffee is good here but you're going to pay in more ways than one. wish they could get some decent management and get the chain of command a little better in here. seems like everyone is stoned here which is honestly really chill but just a bummer when you need a quick coffee. the coffee is good tho i give them props on that. read more

Had a vanilla latte with an extra shot and an almond croissant. Both were divine. Usually, even with the extra shot, I don't feel a difference, but this coffee has me wired! The coffee shop is clean and quiet...could use a little more color/personality in the decor, but not anything that would dissuade me from returning. I love 1802- they're constantly improving and adding new things. During Covid lockdowns, their improvised drive through was amazing, and their selection of juices and bagels is incredible. I've been going to 1802 Roasters for takeaway coffee since it opened during the pandemic. Now, over a year later, they've finally opened their doors to indoor seating. The indoor café area is incredibly charming, welcoming, and warm, and I'm so excited to get to spend time there. When restrictions were tighter during the pandemic, 1802 offered a few options - there were several tables and umbrellas setup outside for outdoor enjoyment with a drive-thru option. Although the drive-thru option had some issues at the onset as it was the same place for walk-ups, as well, the issues quickly worked themselves out as most people who frequent the shop are also patient, kind, and fans of the people running it. 1802 often does weekend popups that feature other local small businesses offering all types of foods and a goods, which is something my boyfriend and I love to do on the weekends. The coffee, itself, is roasted onsite, and it is truly delicious. I'm a creature of habit and cannot recommend the "Coconut Chocolate Brew" enough, but I have also had the 1802 Cold Brew, vanilla lattes, among other things, and my boyfriend is a big fan of trying whatever seasonal brew is on tap. He's also a fan of the matcha (not for me, but not for me at any coffee shop), and we've both purchased several bags of coffee from 1802 to brew at home and give as gifts to friends and family, as well. Everyone that we have taken to 1802 or have gifted their coffee has had nothing but overwhelmingly positive things to say! We're so happy this gem of a coffee shop is in our neighborhood; it's been an absolute delight to bump into our neighbors and friends while out and to get to try other local, small businesses at various popup events. 1802 Roasters is our go-to for coffee in the area because it's absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and the staff are so incredibly friendly and hard-working. It's become a weekend ritual for us at the very minimum and now that indoor seating is available, I'm sure we'll be popping in more than just once or twice a week. Definitely check out 1802 if you get a chance. It's our neighborhood's best kept little secret (and hopefully not for too long!!). This place is a 5 minute walk from my house and coffee is really good but what really blows me away are the Saint-Raf Bagels. Im born and raised in nyc and have never found a bagel worthy in LA till I tried these bagels. I got to say its even better than what I've had in NYC. Perfectly crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. They make these bagels in house so every morning I taste a freshly baked bagel and I cant get enough of it.
