This is fantastic both with or without the crostini bread. The menu did say truffle and hot honey glaze however, I only tasted the traditional honey flavor. No heat or truffle flavors. Crab cake - single 8/10 Crab cake was good. I liked the panko crust on it. It was just a hair dry, so it really needed a sauce. However the whole grain mustard "sauce" that it came with was actually just the mustard, it was not a sauce at all- which does not pair well with the crab cake at all in my opinion- It really needed a Remoulade or aioli, just something more on the creamier side rather than straight mustard. The risotto was cooked perfectly for me, it was hard to tell what the flavor was though without reading the menu (it was lemon Parmesan). I didn't understand how the risotto got its reddish-orange color though since neither lemon or Parmesan are that color. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, and was pretty good. Center cut Filet 9/10 Ordered medium, it was cooked perfectly with a warm pink center. The mashed potatoes were super dry, they needed cream or butter or something to make them better and more flavorful. The red wine Demi was pretty good, you could definitely taste the wine and it kinda also tastes like mushrooms in a way. Asparagus again, was cooked perfect. Vanilla bean Crème brûlée 9/10 The custard was amazing- definitely a 10/10. The sugar on top is what brought me down a point because it was just so thick, it really overpowered the custard a little bit, so a thinner caramelized sugar layer would have been perfect. Chocolate Lava cake 8/10 Yummy chocolate cake with a molten lava center, paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream. The "lava" in the center though was not very much, and definitely needed a little more.

I recently visited Chocolate Avenue Grill for a business meeting on a Wednesday evening and was…read moresurprised by how busy it was. Even on a weeknight, the restaurant was adequately packed, so I would strongly recommend making a reservation if you're planning to dine here. A few things to know before you go: Popular restaurant that can be quite busy, even during the work week. Reservations are a good idea, especially during dinner hours. There is a small parking lot surrounding the restaurant, as well as street parking. Both were full when I arrived. There is a free parking garage across the street behind the storefronts, which ended up being the easiest parking option. For drinks, I ordered the Peach Sangria, and it was excellent. Refreshing, flavorful, and not overly sweet, it paired nicely with dinner and was one of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the: Chicken Marsala Sautéed chicken breast with mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce served over house-made linguini or mashed potatoes & asparagus. Unfortunately, this dish didn't quite meet my expectations. The Marsala sauce itself was decent, but by the time the meal arrived, the linguini was somewhat cold. As a result, the noodles had begun to harden and stick together, which affected the overall experience. Considering the price point, I didn't feel the dish offered good value, and it's not something I would order again. That said, the restaurant's popularity, lively atmosphere, and excellent sangria make me interested in returning. I'd be curious to try some of the other menu offerings on a future visit, as there were several dishes that looked appealing. Overall, while my entrée was disappointing, the atmosphere and drink selection were enough that I'd be willing to give Chocolate Avenue Grill another chance.

I do love some Chipotle on occasion. They were so much better when they first came out & served…read moreorganic food. It has been downhill ever since to original owner sold out. That being said, every time I come to the Hershey Chipotle I question my judgment. Today, there was a sign on the door that said, "Sorry, we are out of white rice." then handwritten "and forks." How does a restaurant run out of forks when that is how your customers eat your food? If I were a manager or franchise owner, I would make a trip to the nearest club store to buy a case of forks using petty cash. White rice? No big deal because they had brown rice & they taste the same to me. But it must make a difference to others because they left after reading the sign. Back to my food. I ordered a burrito (how was I going to eat a bowl or salad with a spoon). Looked over the proteins to find the freshest one that wasn't dried out from sitting on the line. I chose the shredded pork and all the toppings. It was delicious. My issue was the way it was served to me. A delicious, overstuffed, juicy burrito wrapped in one piece of foil was given to me. No tray, basket, or bowl. Shouldn't be a problem but the foil isn't big enough to keep the burrito together so it's falling apart as I eat it while holding it. What a mess. I'm glad that I was sitting at a table outside the restaurant. Cleanliness: they must have been hit with a rush before the hockey game because the soda and condiment area was wiped out and a mess. People are slobs. There were a few forks in the utensil area but since I ordered a burrito, I didn't think I would need it. The tables were clean. The lady's room was a mess & had a broken paper towel dispenser. On the way to the bathrooms, there is a bulletin board with their inspection report. Everything was in compliance except the temperatures of the hot & cold food. But everyone is aware of that because it was on the news due to company-wide issues. The staff were courteous but looked like they were beaten up and fighting a losing battle trying to smile through the comments about the forks and rice. My recommendation would be to get your food to go if you can. Focus on the good food but have access to your own forks. I will give them another chance since the food is so good.

Very small portions and the guy serving kept using the salsa serving spoons and touching items in the bowls- so a lot of cross-contamination, especially for allergy reasons. The chicken was burnt. And the chips were not only stale but also there were barely any in the bag, my guess is since we came at 11am they were left over and the kitchen staff didn't want to make new ones. Overall not the best, and unfortunately this has been an ongoing experience when visiting this location.

Unfortunately, because I was not given the opportunity to do so, I feel I have no alternative but to share our experience. We decided to give Primanti Bros. in Hershey a try for lunch today, but unfortunately, we never even made it to ordering. From the moment we walked in, the young blonde hostess was unwelcoming and incredibly short with us. There was no greeting. She asked if we needed children's menus, and when I said we needed two, her response was simply that she only had one. There was no offer to get another one or even a friendly acknowledgment. We asked to sit outside, and she took us to a table in the direct sun, put the menus down, and walked away without saying anything. We asked if we could sit at another table that was outside but shaded. We were told no because it hadn't been wiped off yet and was dirty. Rather than offering to have it cleaned, she pointed us toward another table and walked away. Throughout the interaction, she was short, rolled her eyes, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. At that point, we decided to leave. What was even more disappointing was what happened when I called immediately afterward. I specifically asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address the situation directly rather than post a negative review. The same hostess apparently answered the phone and refused to put me through to a manager unless I first told her what the call was about. When I said I preferred to discuss the matter directly with the manager, she asked, "Are you the one who just walked out of here that I was trying to seat?" She told me the manager, April, would not be available for at least an hour, but continued to insist that I could not speak with her unless I first explained the situation to the hostess. We are local and had decided to give Primanti Bros. a try, but after this experience, we won't be returning. We ended up going across the street to The Grill instead, which was wonderful. What is most frustrating is that this entire situation could have been handled with a little kindness and basic customer service. And even after the poor experience, I was willing to address it privately and give management an opportunity to respond. Unfortunately, I wasn't given that opportunity. A hostess is often the first impression of a restaurant, and unfortunately, ours was bad enough that we chose to walk out before we ever ordered. I genuinely hope management sees this review and uses it as an opportunity to address how guests are welcomed and how concerns are handled.
