Mushroom Swiss 4oz burger with tomato and pickle
Terri G.

We both got the 4oz mushroom Swiss burger and shared onion rings. I don't understand why they didn't serve coffee.... and the atmosphere was zero. But the food was excellent and good value.

Classic burger and fried handmade!

Awesome little burger joint. The handmade patties, and house cut fries were incredible!!! If you're in the Area, do yourself a favor and stop in.

50-50 Burger with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mayo.

It was a muggy summer eve on July 1st. As always, when traveling, we like to search out local establishments, and while eating well, we can also support local entrepreneurs. My wife found this gem with a Google search. After landing and getting settled into our rental house, our group of 8btook a leisurely two block stroll down the street to the Pickle Nickel. We were handed our menus and seated in the front room to peruse the menu and order our drinks. I ordered the 50-50. It's a combination of 50% rough ground bacon and 50% ground sirloin. It arrives on a bun with any toppings they have, and as I discovered, it's fried in a special sauce comprised of basalmic vinegar, rosemary, and maple syrup. Seems fitting with the bacon. Eating the sandwich was a somewhat messy affair since the burger was cooked to perfection and oozed of the aforementioned sauce. As I told the owners wife and cook before I left, "That was the most deliciously messy burger I have ever eaten". I didn't taste all of the other burgers, but my wife was well pleased with her bacon cheeseburger. I can't finish this review without talking about the fries. Their fries are handcut and are offered naked for you to dip in Ketchup or they also come covered with bacon and cheese as my Mother in law and daughter ordered along with some Pickle Nickel sauce on the side. All I can say about the sauce is that it adds a whole new taste level to fries with its spice level! So I end by saying that if you want some off the charts burgers and fries, please give this establishment a try!

A nice homey feel and the service was good and so was the food but shocked at the $42 for 3 people . 2 burgers and fish and chips. Fries are homemade and delicious!

Nice outside seating

This is my second visit to Wolfe's diner. They're 100 miles from where I live so travelling I know…read moreit's time for a break or I'm 100 miles from home. I was there last Saturday afternoon after the lunch crowd was gone heading back from Rochester. I topped off the gas tank and was hungry. So I park and head inside. It's not a big place. Several tables on one side and the bar on the other. I grab a seat on the end at the bar. The waitress comes over and I order a cup of coffee and look at the menu she provided. I'm pretty hungry not eating anything that day so far. I decide on the breakfast special ( 2 eggs any style and home fries). I add toast and bacon. Eggs over medium. The coffee is pretty good. I'm looking at traffic patterns in my phone, checking out the weather. Food arrives pretty quick and the plate is covered. Toast is fresh, home fries and good, bacon crispy and eggs cooked to order. The coffee gets refilled and I'm enjoying every bite. I like the old school diner vibe with the fresh coffee and diner style foods. I am finished and quite full with an excellent meal. I get the check and it's pretty cheap. She gets a good tip, I'm done with the coffee and out the door. I have been going past for maybe 20 years and stopped now twice. I think it will be a regular stop on my way to Rochester back and forth granted they're open. I think they're closing for a few weeks in August, just be aware. If you like the diner vibe and a good meal that won't break the bank, it's worth a visit. Yeah...where is Dillsburg? Rt 15 N/S in Pennsylvania. Google maps is a help.

Now, let's start off by saying that I believe we are going to have to make a return visit to really…read moreget an accurate perception of this place. We went on the Saturday after 4th of July and I believe that business may have been significantly lessened as a result. We are looking for a new place to "get a drink" since our current fav is closing down in a month or so. This was our first time here. It was a Saturday night, and the place was dead, but see above. We sat at the bar. My wife and I specifically enjoy sour beers, so we noticed that there were a few on their tap list and decided to give it a go...plus, it is on the "Beer Trail" and could be checked off the list. We did not try any food since we had just eaten with our kids (cookout, post July 4th). They only had about 5 of their own beers on tap, but did have an extensive variety of guest taps. I was shocked at how many options there were for such a small location. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful...they were very willing to give us sample cups to taste the different beers before we committed to a full size drink. Without a doubt, whatever style of beer you prefer, you are sure to be able to find something you enjoy...and probably multiple selections. We will be back to give it another go. One note, we had stopped by last week, but left bc there was a band, the room was full, and they were charging a cover per head since the band was there. I'm not paying a cover to listen to music. If you want to bring in bands, make sure you can pay them without making your customers eat the charge. It is a small seating area, probably only about 50 people could fit. So, just make sure to check if you are going.

Last time I go to Millenium. Save your money on average pizza at best. Tired of the BS upcharges…read more It's one thing if you need to charge a fee for a card or substitutions but at least let your customer know. And what pizza shop that sells stromboli charges you for sauce to go with it? I order a pizza and boli and am expecting $25-27 and end up with a bill of almost $35. absolutely insane. *EDIT* I was going to take this review down because after I arrived home with my order I received a call from a very respectful older gentleman who explained their position on things and while we didn't agree on some of it I at least respected him reaching out and trying to make it better. However, I need to address some of the inaccuracies posted by the owner in his response. I understand prices go up, I expected to spend "$24-$28" like he said, not $35. I did not get a large boli nor did you make it bigger at no extra charge. I get that nothing is free but at every pizza shop I've ever visited they give you a side of sauce with a Stromboli. If you want to charge for it, fine. Make it known when you order, not when I've already handed you my card and then you ask "will you need sauce for this?" Finally, never was I offered a refund for anything, especially the sauce. I was told you had to charge for that but I could receive a discount on my next order for the charge of a substitution that the gentleman said I shouldn't have been charged for. So you offered me $1.50 off my next order, not a refund. Since I won't be coming back after the condescending response by the owner, this does me no good. I had planned to give you another shot based off of the phone conversation but then to just make excuses and be petty online, I'm done. I'm ordering from Mazzone's today because honestly, the quality is better and I'll pay more for quality. (And they didn't charge me extra for sauce or a substitution on my sub) Plenty of places stay in business with average food, that being said, I am going to change my review from 1 star based off of the overall experience to an honest representation of the food itself. So best of luck in the future Millennium, I'll go elsewhere for better customer service. Congrats on your 3 star pizza.
