Slowest Wendy's I've ever been to. Plus no pickle on the burger, chicken sandwich was soggy and not crunchy. Round table was broken.

This is the worst Wendys I've ever been to. I live in Hershey, and it is consistently terrible in service, speed and cleanliness.

I do love some Chipotle on occasion. They were so much better when they first came out & served…read moreorganic food. It has been downhill ever since to original owner sold out. That being said, every time I come to the Hershey Chipotle I question my judgment. Today, there was a sign on the door that said, "Sorry, we are out of white rice." then handwritten "and forks." How does a restaurant run out of forks when that is how your customers eat your food? If I were a manager or franchise owner, I would make a trip to the nearest club store to buy a case of forks using petty cash. White rice? No big deal because they had brown rice & they taste the same to me. But it must make a difference to others because they left after reading the sign. Back to my food. I ordered a burrito (how was I going to eat a bowl or salad with a spoon). Looked over the proteins to find the freshest one that wasn't dried out from sitting on the line. I chose the shredded pork and all the toppings. It was delicious. My issue was the way it was served to me. A delicious, overstuffed, juicy burrito wrapped in one piece of foil was given to me. No tray, basket, or bowl. Shouldn't be a problem but the foil isn't big enough to keep the burrito together so it's falling apart as I eat it while holding it. What a mess. I'm glad that I was sitting at a table outside the restaurant. Cleanliness: they must have been hit with a rush before the hockey game because the soda and condiment area was wiped out and a mess. People are slobs. There were a few forks in the utensil area but since I ordered a burrito, I didn't think I would need it. The tables were clean. The lady's room was a mess & had a broken paper towel dispenser. On the way to the bathrooms, there is a bulletin board with their inspection report. Everything was in compliance except the temperatures of the hot & cold food. But everyone is aware of that because it was on the news due to company-wide issues. The staff were courteous but looked like they were beaten up and fighting a losing battle trying to smile through the comments about the forks and rice. My recommendation would be to get your food to go if you can. Focus on the good food but have access to your own forks. I will give them another chance since the food is so good.

Unfortunately, because I was not given the opportunity to do so, I feel I have no alternative but to share our experience. We decided to give Primanti Bros. in Hershey a try for lunch today, but unfortunately, we never even made it to ordering. From the moment we walked in, the young blonde hostess was unwelcoming and incredibly short with us. There was no greeting. She asked if we needed children's menus, and when I said we needed two, her response was simply that she only had one. There was no offer to get another one or even a friendly acknowledgment. We asked to sit outside, and she took us to a table in the direct sun, put the menus down, and walked away without saying anything. We asked if we could sit at another table that was outside but shaded. We were told no because it hadn't been wiped off yet and was dirty. Rather than offering to have it cleaned, she pointed us toward another table and walked away. Throughout the interaction, she was short, rolled her eyes, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. At that point, we decided to leave. What was even more disappointing was what happened when I called immediately afterward. I specifically asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address the situation directly rather than post a negative review. The same hostess apparently answered the phone and refused to put me through to a manager unless I first told her what the call was about. When I said I preferred to discuss the matter directly with the manager, she asked, "Are you the one who just walked out of here that I was trying to seat?" She told me the manager, April, would not be available for at least an hour, but continued to insist that I could not speak with her unless I first explained the situation to the hostess. We are local and had decided to give Primanti Bros. a try, but after this experience, we won't be returning. We ended up going across the street to The Grill instead, which was wonderful. What is most frustrating is that this entire situation could have been handled with a little kindness and basic customer service. And even after the poor experience, I was willing to address it privately and give management an opportunity to respond. Unfortunately, I wasn't given that opportunity. A hostess is often the first impression of a restaurant, and unfortunately, ours was bad enough that we chose to walk out before we ever ordered. I genuinely hope management sees this review and uses it as an opportunity to address how guests are welcomed and how concerns are handled.

Everywhere you could possibly want to get something to eat around noon was already busy when we pulled up. Our server was great. Full stop. Wonderful employee. She handled several tables in a side corridor that felt isolated from the restaurant by a dividing wall. It was practically a hallway near the restrooms and overflow/party room. It was cramped and felt like cafeteria seating. We were on top of the parties on either side of us, rather than in a more comfortable booth. We could have waited, but chose to be seated immediately. The party to our one side was loud, which is not the restaurant's fault, but underscores the poor design of the "bench along the wall" seating model. Red Robin is always loud. Something about the acoustics and the hard walls amplifies the children and forces people to talk louder to be heard over others, which creates a cycle of shouting that makes it feel like when you walk out of a Michael Bay movie and into a quiet theater parking lot. The tinnitus takes a moment to fade. I shouldn't complain when a burger restaurant is out of chicken, but Lady Matilda is the one who likes burgers. I prefer chicken. They did not have crispy chicken. They offered to swap in chicken tenders for the fillet. I opted for a mushroom and Swiss burger. Both burgers were greasy despite being medium well (Matilda ordered hers medium rare, as usual). A few other things. The menu was sticky, like an "overnight at a highway diner" level of sticky. The table had a courtesy wipe down, but still had that wet washcloth shine when we sat down. I'm not sure if the random smell that put me off lunch was our proximity to the restrooms or if one of our unwanted dining companions was having a bad G.I. experience. That last one, again, isn't the restaurant's fault, except that being stuffed into what feels like the junior customer's hallway promotes such experiences.

Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed our food…read more Mila just wasn't present when we needed things and, honestly, every other server who walked by us smiled but the few times we saw her, she either sped by us or it seemed a bother for her to ask us if we needed anything; twice we had to flag her down. We ordered two beverages and the vanilla Dr. Pepper, one of our favorites, was lukewarm and sickeningly sweet because there wasn't enough Dr. Pepper and way too much vanilla, I guess. It was also half foam. We had to ask for knives with our meals although we saw other servers bring knives on the little red trays along with all the silverware and napkins. When we asked for knives, Mila wanted to know one or two? I'm pretty sure the knives aren't in short supply so two would have been fine. I don't know: the experience was just poor and overshadowed the food. If we got sat in a nicer, quieter section, if Mila was friendly and attentive, if the drink wasn't weird and she fixed it quickly, something, maybe the experience would have better. Instead, we got sat at the first booth, Mila was inattentive and largely absent, the drinks weren't made properly or refilled fast enough, it just seemed like she didn't have time for us and, therefore, we didn't have a good experience.
