Omgoodness. The best experience. The BEST…read more We took our baby boy for his 21st birthday. What a great decision this was. The drinks - so good. The food - so tasty. The service - exceptional. We ordered the lemon drop martini, Elmo Cola, the Gatsby and liquid love affair. I asked for the liquid love affair to have a very light pour of alcohol and they obliged. Everyone loved their drinks. Even me. And I am NOT a drinker. We ordered shrimp cocktails, lobster bisque, steaks and lobster. Everything so good. My son's steak was overdone but they happily remade it and ALL the sides that came with it. Just immaculate service. We also ordered the chocolate mousse pie. We asked our server to place the candles we had brought on top. Lemme tell you. The service. Just so good. She realized they were sparkler candles so she waited to light it until she was at our table. We did ask the manager if we could present our son his gift during dinner. It was a firearm and we didn't wanna cause any drama or "unsafe" feelings even though, obvi, it wouldn't have been loaded. We did want to respect the establishment and their other patrons. He kindly declined and, of course, we understood. Can we talk about service? Just so exceptional. Customer service for me will make or break any experience. The bills was... A LOT. Even AFTER they comped everything the birthday boy had ordered. But even if they hadn't comped ANYTHING... I always believe in paying good money for good food. The place was clean. The bathroom clean. And there is a lot for parking. Just the best time was had.

The event takes place on the patio area, it's small and intimate. It is great for networking and mingling and making new connections. The staff was absolutely amazing and engaged with the crowd the entire night. I felt the vibe that they really love their job. They don't let you know about the menu prior to , which I was a bit apprehensive about but it turned out great! For starters we had some chunky guac, watermelon pico, and some kind of verde salsa with chips. 10/10! The Watermelon pico was new to me and very refreshing!! Next we had some steak fajitas with rice. I was not a fan of the rice and the steak wasn't seasoned to my liking but still a good dish! Lastly we had dessert that put me in the mind of being at the state fair. It was a pastry fried (think like funnel cake taste) and fruit ...so yummy! Now the margaritas! Enjoy as much it as little as you like! I loved experimenting and trying different combos. My favorite was the mango spicy flavor! They said they have these events quarterly or so and I can't wait to go to the next one!

Reservations were easy to get on OpenTable. We even adjusted the time with no issues. The entry way is super cute and so is the seating area next to the bar. The vibe is pretty spot on for a speakeasy type place. Absolutely loved the aesthetics and atmosphere. Our server Kim was hands down one of the best servers we've had anywhere in a while. She was incredibly sweet and helpful with recommendations for drinks and food and shower us some of the more specialty type bourbons on the bar etc. I chose a bourbon sour make with Woodford and it was perfectly balanced with a nice hint of bourbon Hubby chose a couple of different old fashions and they were spot on. For appetizers we chose fried green tomatoes and the French bread. The fried green tomatoes needed a little salt other than that they were huge and the breading stayed on and was light and crispy. The French bread was basic and probably wouldn't get again. I tried the soup which was white cheddar broccoli and cheese. It was pretty good but not worth the price considering you can get a salad that is bigger and cheaper Hubby got the Caesar salad it comes with a creamy anchovy dressing with a fried cheese topping The fried cheese was amazing and if you don't like anchovy don't let the keep you from getting the salad it's really good. Main course I chose the Australian Wagu strip steak. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fat was rendered down and added to the amazing flavor. I would order again. Also comes pre sliced on the plate. Hubby ordered the filet it was slightly overcooked but it wasn't a deal breaker being that it was filet. There was nothing outstanding it was just like any other filet. We split the white cheddar Mac and cheese It was creamy and more than enough to share in fact we brought some home. It could have used salt as well. Dessert we split the chocolate cake and each of us ate a couple bites and brought the rest home. It's not as rich as you would think. The crunch on the bottom adds a nice texture. Then they brought out a nice surprise of 2 fresh baked chocolate chip cookies which were amazing and should be a menu item Overall amazing experience and will definitely return Perfect for a nice date night.

Very lounger, sexy, chic yet cozy. 5/5. We sat in a booth by the bar. Small comment card, it is far too tight of a walkway. So there's sexy plush bar chairs along the bar top (love a good comfy bar chair with a back!), but then inches behind you- it's a major walkway of constant traffic. You can't stand and mingle w others that are sitting in the bar chairs bc you'll be in the way of a server or other patrons trying to get seated. There's a whole other section of the restaurant that is not inside the bar area - looked nice! Everything here is ala carte, so my guy and I eat got our own meat and then split a bunch of sides. I loved the red wine, filet mignon steak, Mac and cheese, asparagus and potatoes. My guy got the Wagyu steak, and to be honest- we were pretty disappointed. He ate it but he was wishing he was eating my steak. Ha! We also ordered the mushrooms-- I would not order again, they were sub-par. There was something in the sauce that just wasn't hitting the palette right. We usually love the shrooms the most when we go places, but not this night. But hey! You can't win em all! Overall, nice place! Is it better than Harry & Izzy's, 1933, or Provision? No. They still take the cake ;)

In fact, they have five different spritzes on the menu, which I love to see. Of course, they have the classic Aperol spritz. But they also have some creative takes, like the rose spritz, which is what I chose. It was very tasty, light and refreshing, and not too floral, which can happen with a rose-flavored beverage. Spritzes are amazing but not enough sometimes, so I also got a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Yum! The pour was generous. I kept my drink orders simple this visit, but Thieves has a whole menu full of creative cocktails. What you do when you enter is just sit down, and someone will come by and take your order. But if you're visiting for coffee (because Thieves is also a coffee bar), you can order at the counter. I don't recall if they offer food. This is mostly a place to get drinks. And it's a lovely place to get drinks. Thieves is located in the heart of Broad Ripple, which means that parking is atrocious. I guess I just want every cocktail bar to be dimly lit and speak easy adjacent vibes. Turns out they aren't all that way. It is a smart design. Large and cozy chairs that you can really sit back and relax in! Fun to have windows into the operation. Service: Still unclear if you are meant to order at the bar or if the bartender also serves. The bartender that night took our order from our chairs but wasn't very attentive even when they appeared to not be busy. I realize there is a lot happening behind the scenes we aren't always privy to. So just fine service - nothing negative or over the top. Cocktails: Yes, please. I always think I'm not a bourdon drinker but then I get a bourbon drink and I question my identity and knowing. I ordered a fall fresh drink that I don't currently see on the menu! Gahhh. I thought they mentioned it was always on there. Well regardless it was a 10/10 and had the right amount of zing and not too sweet. I also had an espresso martini which is delish! Peep the Yelp love on the menu! I will always support a place that has NA options for my sober friends! I hadn't had dinner so I ordered the pulled pork nachos. The queso was orange and I'm partial to blanco queso forever and always amen. The pork wasn't smoked so what's the point, really? The jalapeños were fresh and bringing the heat. They were okay but wouldn't get them again. I'll go to half liter for my fix. Will I return? Absolutely.

I go here every chance I get, and usually forget to take photos of the delicious food!…read more I am so glad i took the advice of the earlier reviews to entice me to try it out the first time (now years ago). This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. Our most recent visit yesterday had less than awesome service but maybe she was having a bad day. The building is old with lots of wood paneling ... very comfy. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!
