We split a shrimp cocktail and thought it was worth the hype. Our steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. It's not just that the food was great, it's a nice space and it was just a fun evening. Near perfect date night experience at 1933 for our first time! We were seated immediately on a Monday evening at our scheduled time. The inside decor is very dark, but romantic. Our waitress was so kind and quick! We had a key lime martini and the Coke & Whiskey from the cocktail menus. The martini was just enough sweet and sour! We ordered lobster bisque that was really tasty and had chunks of lobster. We also ordered the waygu burger and the grouper sandwich. Probably one of the best grouper sandwiches I have ever had! Visited 1933 Lounge on my wedding anniversary! It's a great place for a date night. It's dimly lit and I like that it's only for 21+. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. We started off sitting at a very small table and was asked if we wanted to move to a bigger table given that we ordered so much food! For drinks, I ordered the Pop's Old Fashioned. It was not as strong as I'd like, but that's personal preference. The cherry made it sweet and refreshing! I sipped it during the entire meal and it was enjoyable. We ordered the chargrilled artichoke, herb butter baguette, and Izzy roll for appetizers. If you like to take your time pulling apart the artichoke piece by piece, then order it! I do find it enjoyable, but if you're really hungry, this isn't the appetizer for you. The baguette is only enough for 2 people (or 1 depending on your appetite). The Izzy roll which has Alaskan crab was quite disappointing. For the price, it's not quite worth it and maybe my palette isn't as refined as others, but it tasted similar to a California roll but for 2-3x the price. We ordered the Ribeye with béarnaise sauce and a side of crème corn brûlée. We also ordered a Cesar salad and heirloom rainbow carrots. The corn brûlée was a bit too sweet for me, but it was still good! Ribeye was cooked to our liking and the béarnaise sauce was a nice accompaniment. It's a fantastic blend of St. Elmo's and Harry and Izzy's with a few twists. Our anniversary is on January 1st, but we were worn out this year and wanted to stay home. So we decided that we were both grown adults and could celebrate next week. I'm so glad we did. We had a fantastic meal with Sarh, our cocktailer/server. The food was delicious, and the staff at 1933 were very kind about finding options that worked for my wife with her Celiac allergy. We had a nice meal and great conversation. Susan says that for those with gluten or food allergies, HC Tavern will provide more options than she's found at St. Elmo's, Harry and Izzy's, and 1933. But our meal was excellent, our service was phenomenal, and it's never a bad night when you spend it with your wife and best friend. If you want a cool atmosphere, great food, and great service, give 1933 a try. If you go to the one in Fishers, ask for Sarah, she'll take great care of you! Holy cow - my friends and I were blown away. We came for devour (fyi their devour lunch menu is actually their regular lunch menu yay!). I had the French Dip (as recommended by our server) and my husband had the Executive with the Wagyu and Fried Shrimp sliders, and the fries and shrimp cocktail (3 pieces) that it comes with. The French Dip was so good! My friend who also ordered it was also blown away. I had my cooked medium and his medium rare. But either way, both were equally delicious. My husband liked the Fried Shrimp slider more than the Wagyu Beef. And as always, the shrimp cocktail - phenomenal. I love their cocktail sauce so much I always buy a bottle at the store. We haven't had the chance to visit St Elmo downtown, but after the experience we had, my husband and I booked a reservation for our wedding anniversary in March (their reservations are always so full so we planned way ahead). We visited on a Tuesday evening and every table was full... impressive! This top-notch steakhouse is the sister restaurant to St. Elmo's, at a *slightly* more affordable price point. While it's still pricey, the food, atmosphere, and service were incredibly impressive. Our server was so friendly and quick, and everyone in the restaurant was dressed up and on their game. I ordered the Long Island steak salad and it was phenomenal. It had "USDA Prime Strip, peppered bacon locally sourced from Smoking Goose, heirloom tomatoes, bleu cheese crumbles, avocado, pickled red onions, deviled eggs, citrus horseradish vinaigrette." A quality, perfectly-cooked, juicy steak plus a full salad for $24 felt reasonable. My husband got the wagyu steakburger and loved it too. Again, you're paying for the quality of the ingredients here, and in my opinion, worth it here. Despite it being chilly when we visited, they have a big outdoor patio that will be amazing during warm weather. This restaurant is located in The Yard and therefore in walking distance of a lot of other fun breweries and restaurants, so you could make a night of it. If you like whisky or bourbon, definitely try their signature cocktail, the Elmo Cola - straight from the downtown Indianapolis St. Elmo's location. I'm obsessed. They even bottled their bourbon and sell it in stores. You can safely bet that I have a constant supply in stock at my house. If you like spicy and/or horseradish, then you should also definitely try the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Woof - so spicy, but so good. Again, this is straight from the downtown Indianapolis St. Elmo's location. A lovely appetizer. The steak is also obviously amazing. I never need more than 8 ounces of steak in one sitting, but because it's so fantastic, I've found myself ordering the 12 ounce steak on occasion. Delicious and always cooked perfectly! I also love their crème corn brûlée - a fabulous combination of salty and sweet, which is my favorite. Definitely give that a try.
