We enjoyed another great dining experience at 1933 Lounge. On our recent visit -- 4:15 pm reservation on a Thursday -- we ended up sitting in the outdoor space. We were originally seated at a high top table adjacent to the the bar where servers retrieve completed cocktail orders. Between the high traffic from servers (plus the loud soda gun getting repeated use by bartenders) and the loud music overhead, we requested a different table and were obliged by the hostess. Our server, Kendra, was very attentive and courteous. We shared the seafood tower (small), grilled salmon entrée and roasted cauliflower shareable side -- enjoyed it all! We were looking to go somewhere nice for dinner & since a couple of our favorite spots were booked we thought we drive a little further north & try the 1933 in Fishers. It did not disappoint! The service overall was great & our waitress was just fab! My wife & I both had a shrimp cocktail since we don't share that lol! She had a salad with navy been soup for dinner & I had filet & wagyu sliders. We also shared corn brûlée. She loves the rich taste of the navy bean soup. The salad while good just wasn't great. We both agreed the corn was very good but we would have preferred it less watery. The corn though had an interesting taste to it so we would recommend that. Had never had a wagyu slider & I found it very tasty. The filet sliders are of course awesome. We ended up with a piece of key lime pie as we were celebrating our 2 week anniversary. We've had good experiences there up until last night. Went there for a dinner this week with my wife. We noted we could not sleep later in the evening. My heart was pounding like a freight train and she had arrythmia. Obviously, they overdid it with the MSG. We have had this experience before at Roadhouse. It's the MSG! I think now these steaks are tender due to the MSG and not naturally the meat now. They may put MSG into everything. I'd steer clear of this place if you have sensitivity to MSG. read more

After going to the regular st elmo and harry and izzy i think this was actually my favorite rib eye. so amazing! we got a lobster tail as well and mushrooms and the carrots. I'd give them 3.5 stars from my first visit but I'm willing to visit again. I went on a Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, the hostess said that the only open seating was at the bar since they were understaffed (as there were plenty of open tables). We went to the bar. The bartender was very busy but she was very attentive to us initially. Once our food arrived, I'm not sure we saw her again throughout the meal. A different bartender came to help and provided the bill for us. My steak was delicious but I believe it was over cooked. It didn't seem like a medium steak. The food elements are listed and rated as follows: Shrimp Cocktail: Pricey, but the St. Elmo's cocktail sauce is a favorite of ours, so we had to give it a go. What a great spot, and honestly it's an entire AREA of different spots to try from bars to a winery, cigar bar and plenty of restaurants. My friends and I came here after needing a place to sit, talk and continue catching up after our Top Golf fun. We came in and there was only a 15 min wait which was great considering we needed to sit 10. We waited outside as there isn't a real sitter waiting area, but it was no big deal. We all ordered different appetizers and mostly everyone ordered the lemon drop Martini. They said they were amazing and I must say from the looks of it I'm not surprised. For my food I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it was ok. I'm not sure I would go out my way to order again but it was decent. High end dining price with mid range dining atmosphere, taste and service. Day one of my husbands Birthday weekend brought us to 1933 Lounge. It was a place we hadn't been yet. I did open table reservations ( so glad we can do those again ) we were sat outside. Inside was packed with people. I felt there was very little social distancing going on. The hostess left a laminated qr code on our table to look up the menu on our phones. Our server greeted us and took our drinks order. He was friendly and knowledge about the food. After getting our tea we went ahead and ordered. To start I ordered the Izzy Rolls ( basically california rolls ) without the spicy mayo. Husband ordered a dinner size Ceasar Salad. Izzy Rolls were very good but they had an addition on top of them not listed on the menu. Small pearls of Tobiko. I had to look it up. It is the Japanese word for flying fish roe. It is most widely known for its use in creating certain types of sushi.The eggs are small, ranging from 0.5 to 0.8 mm. For comparison, Tobiko is larger than Masago (capelin roe), but smaller than Ikura (salmon roe). Natural Tobiko has a red-orange color, a mild smoky or salty taste, and a crunchy texture. So this was my first time eating fish roe of any kind. They were crunchy but really no taste. Husbands salad was very very lightly dressed. He was wanting more dressing but no one ever came to check our appetizers till we were pretty much done. My Entree was Salmon with Mashed Potatoes. And the Navybean soup. While doing this review it dawned on me I never actually got my soup. Husband got the 12 oz Filet and Baked potato with butter cheese and bacon. The cheese and bacon were minuscule amounts and the butter was nonexistent, he had to ask for butter. My Salmon was very good. But had I know the the mashed potatoes were lazy potatoes ( home style with the skin mashed in ) I would have got the baked potato. The steak had awesome flavor. We skipped dessert. Over all the food was pretty good. Except for a couple missed steps in lack of dressing for the salad and baked potato. I would have liked to have tried the Navybean soup but that got forgotten about. Service was not fine dining although the server and support staff were friendly just not available. As far as Covid precautions. Pretty much every staff member had on masks except one young lady behind the bar. She had hers off her mouth and nose the entire time we were there. You can put procedures in place but It does no good if you don't hold everyone to them. Servers used hand sanitizer before putting our dishes on our table. Inside was very crowded with a few tables of six or more. The chairs at the table next to us were only about two feet from my chair. I know this because of the 12 inch carpet squares used on the patio. So some things right and some things very wrong. Not a place we are likely to go out of our way to go back to. read more

We had date night at 1933. We experienced another evening out enjoying Devour Indy! We made reservations via Open Table and we were seated promptly. I initially didn't want to be seated outside but the weather was absolutely perfect so I didn't complain. Caroline, our waitress, was everything the song said she'd be.. sweet. She was engaging, attentive and catered to us even with it being a packed house on the Wednesday night. We ordered off of the Devour Indy and Caroline suggested the blackened grouper. I went with her recommendation while my date had the prime rib. Our appetizers were good... you can never go wrong with the well known St. Elmo shrimp. If you like that amazing horseradish then it's a nice bite to lead into your main meal. The Cesar salad was not our favorite. The dressing lacked flavor and it was watery. I think we got like 2 shavings of Parmesan cheese. The plating looked like it was a rush job. That was the only thing that was disappointing... not a deal breaker. The portions for the grouper were definitely not equivalent to the other entrees but nonetheless it was good. The prime rib was was also delicious but much bigger in portion size. I ordered a glass of wine (meritage) to go with my meal and it didn't taste fresh. Caroline quickly suggested an alternative (a cab) and it was really good! For dessert we had the bourbon cake. My date loved it and I enjoyed how the bits of bacon added the saltiness to this sweet dish. Great way to end our meal. The weather, meal, company and experience we enjoyed. Went to enjoy their Executive lunch special. All the food comes out at once which I would prefer it being staggered. Had 2 filet sliders, salad and 3 shrimp cocktail. Sliders cooked to perfection and delicious. No bread offered which I would have liked. Did not enjoy atmosphere myself as seated at high top table in middle of room. Definitely would not want to have dinner at that table. It was crowded for a 1:30 lunch time. Waiter was great and attentive until I ran out of water and had to ask multiple times for refill. 1) Charred artichoke appetizer was inedible. I know how to eat them and was given instructions on how to eat them. The edible part of the vegetable was not tender or cooked enough to consume. It was charred but still too raw. Needed to be softer. 2) Our entrees were served without steak knives. We asked the guy who delivered our food to get us some but he disappeared and never returned. Our waiter eventually noticed but it still took several minutes to get them. 3) Ordered my steak medium and it came out rare, which I wasn't super upset about but then it was also not hot. Its wasn't cold but it was very room temperature. It probably didn't help we had to wait for the knives. 4) Drinks and dessert were great and the best part of the experience. The 1933 Lounge is a fabulous place for lunch, dinner or happy hour drinks. What's even better is it's 21 and older only. The bar area is classic and chic. We snagged two seats at the bar. I ordered an Espresso martini that was delicious. The right mix of coffee and martini. It was exactly what I was looking for to start the evening. My wife ordered the Liquid Love Affair and said it was delicious. Light and refreshing. We ordered the Calamari and the Elmo Roll. The Calamari was pretty average but not too greasy. The Elmo Roll was a creative way to get your fix of sushi and shrimp cocktail. Great visit. Can't wait to go back. read more

I'm a frequent flyer here. It's sad the waiter know me by name lol. I went on New Year's Eve, and the way they had that place set up was so cute. Once you arrive, and was seated the waiter presented you with a complimentary champagne toast. What a thoughtful gesture. I tried the prime rib steak and it gave what it came to give. That horseradish sauce made my tongue had fireworks that was the star of the show. But how could I forget the liquid love affair drink it's a must when you go to 1933 lounge. This is a tough review to write. I wanted so much to love 1933. It was my last night in town after working 15 days in a row. Save the best for last, right?!? I sat at the bar, like any good "table of 1." The bartenders were lovely and had great suggestions. I had 2 cocktails and both were lovely and well-balanced. I had the famous shrimp cocktail which was just as "punch you in the throat" as you want from a St. Elmo's establishment. I moved on to the Cesar salad which came out on a chilled plate. It's so easy to have good service and so far, 1933 was nailing it! For my entree I ordered the 45 day dry aged ribeye. I ordered it medium rare. It came out of the kitchen and when I cut it open, it was clearly medium well, boarding on well. I hate sending food back. Like, really hate making a fuss. Both the bartender, manager and the gentleman sitting next to me pressured me into sending it back. I got a second steak and it was rare. Still mooing. The manager waited while I cut into it and said "that looks rare" and snatched it up before I could say anything. The 3rd one was perfect. I got the feeling this was a pretty rare occurrence for them as everyone was making such a fuss about it. They did take it off my bill, which was nice of them. Overall, I'm going to give them another try next time I'm in town, but maybe not the steak. read more

Not my first experience at 1933 Lounge, however with so many exceptional restaurants in the Fishers / Indy area to dine at, the 1933 Lounge is consistently above average. In town for another visit for the time trails, a couple of my friends and I wanted to get out from our larger group and catch up over a nice dinner as we often do. Last evening was spot on. Our appetizers, entree, and sides were prepared without flaw, our waitress (Annie) was friendly and engaging as well as just an all around great server. We were seated in a smaller area of three tables segregated from the main bar / dining area - which for us was perfect. We will definitely return when we get back to Indianapolis. 1933 Lounge is just a solid choice for dining in the area. Full disclosure: Visit and review during Covid-19 pandemic. So this is a hard one to write up. I love St. Elmo's so I really wanted to love 1933 Lounge as well. Service was great, but the food was just ok. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing... My friend and I started with Calamari - honestly this was probably the best thing we had that visit. The calamari was a generous portion for an appetizer. For my entree I ordered the 12 oz. Prime Rib and opted for the Navy Bean soup (I usually get the soup from St. Elmo's in dt Indy, so I knew I couldn't go wrong. The Prime rib was not even luke warm. It was medium rare, as I requested, and the plate was super hot, but the actual meat was practically at room temperature, which I thought was odd. When I mentioned it to the server, he said they can heat it up, but then it wouldn't be medium rare (?!), so I just powered through and didn't finish it. I think someone actually did mention that in a review recently so you think they would have addressed it by the time I visited. My recommendation is NOT to order the prime rib. We did end our evening with the Mousse pie - it was really delicious, and although it looks rich, it was light and airy, just as a mousse should be. Would I visit again? Maybe, but I think I'll stick with their rib eye next time. read more

We had a last-minute kid-free night so we quickly checked reservations and found the Fishers location had an opening. We booked it en route. We were immediately seated upon arrival. We ended up getting a variety of small plates rather than a single big entree so we had the bacon, shrimp cocktail, navy bean soup, sushi and sliders. Plus cocktails! Service was quick. The general manager private messaged me on Yelp offering us a gift card as an apology and hoping to earn our business back. In that message he asked for my home mailing address in order to send me said gift card, I was a little hesitant at first but went ahead and shared my information via messages within the Yelp app. That message with my home address shows read on June 24th, (but no response) I waited for my gift card and nothing arrived in the mail, so after a couple weeks (July 17th to be exact) I message him again through Yelp, and have still not received a response. Haven't received food yet but very disappointed in the seat location. There are a lot of empty tables but this has to be the worst one. Sitting next to the kitchen is never pleasant, but with the motion sensor sliding door it definitely changes from fine dinning to a diner setting. My wife asked for the milder version of it. It's less hot from the horse radish. They cut it with ketchup. We both had the salad. She order the prime rib with mashed potatoes. Comes cooks medium rare, comes with two sauces. Horseradish and au jus. ordered the 6 oz fillet cooked medium with green beans. Every thing came out cooked perfectly. Outstanding spot in Fishers! This is basically a second location of St Elmo's Steakhouse. While it's missing the ambiance of the original St Elmo, it has everything else St Elmo has to offer. It is also a more convenient location if you aren't staying in downtown Indianapolis. The bar area is nice with outstanding service. Excellent cocktails and a good local beer selection. The classic Shrimp Cocktail appetizer is available here and just as good as the original location. I had a filet and loaded baked potato as my entree which was also just as good as the original location. If you have never been to St Elmo then your first visit has to be to the original location in Indianapolis. However, if you are staying north of the city then I highly recommend 1933. It's just as good and much more convenient if you are staying in or near Fishers. read more

I went to 1933 in fisher's for Mother's Day, the food was amazing, the service was not, when I have bad service it takes away from the overall experience, it took our waitress almost 30 minutes between the salad and the main course, had to ask another waitress to check on our food, at the end of the meal decided on dessert, big mistake it took almost 20 minutes to get the dessert that was to go!!
