A gentleman who appeared to be a manager eventually had to step in and check on us because of the confusion. What was most frustrating was the lack of initiative. If guests have been sitting at a table for an extended period without being helped, someone should notice and simply ask, "Has anyone taken care of you yet?" Even if it isn't technically that employee's table, it takes very little effort to check rather than repeatedly walking past customers who are clearly waiting. Management should not have to step in because employees aren't communicating about whose table is whose. Better communication and more attentiveness would have made a huge difference.
