Butchers cut - 2 week dry-aged ribeye with duck fat potatoes!

Absolute gem tucked away in Eldorado's agora center. This place has the meat! Their service is great, super friendly people. Some of the best steaks in santa area! This is a 2 week dry aged ribeye that blew my mind. Their steak special always delivers. Check them out!!

    Our entrees.... And wine.

We had the fish special a few weeks ago and it was amazing. We had the burgers on Saturday and they were fantastic.

They sautéed the shrimp with bacon, peppers, and mushrooms. Really good. My wife had the famous lemon ricotta pancakes. Amazing.....better than advertised. My only complaint about a terrific breakfast experience was an up-charge of $3.50 for "100% Pure Grade A Maple Syrup". You can buy terrific maple syrup at Sam's for $12.28 for 32 oz. (38 cents / oz.). Charging $3.50 for 2oz. of syrup seems excessive, but that's just my opinion. I'm not sure why this was frustrating to me, as we have overpaid for food all over Santa Fe, including other restaurants with similar up-charges for "pure maple syrup". We would definitely come back here, but would be wary of similar up-charges.

As we pulled up, it looked pretty crowded, a few families waiting outside. I checked on the wait time for 3 & was told 20-25 minutes. We don't consider that an excessive wait time any time we go out. And being from out of town, it would've taken us at least that long to find another spot & probably would've had a wait at any other restaurant. There was plenty of space to wait in front of the restaurant, it was shaded and the weather was nice. I don't know how long we waited for a table, but it seemed to be less than quoted. Once seated, we were served drinks right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered blue corn cinnamon pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked crisp, just how I like it. The pancakes were really good! Different from anything I've had before. My husband had chilaquiles, those were really good. And my son got a traditional breakfast. The menu said it came with fries, which were more what we called breakfast potatoes. That was a good thing! Those potatoes were so good! The restaurant looked to be well staffed, everyone working and taking care of customers. This is for sure a place I'd recommend and would return to on future visits to Santa Fe.

Great combination of New Mexican food and normal breakfast fare. So many delicious things to choose from. Our waitress recommended the green chile Eggs Benedict or chilaquiles. I decided on chilaquiles and my sister had French toast with fried eggs and bacon. This was definitely the best chilaquiles I've ever had! The chips were tossed in a combination of the red and green chile, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the beans and potatoes were delicious!!! The French toast was good, pretty standard French toast. Service was fantastic, coffee and water refilled, very friendly waitress. There is also a full bar and counter seating. I sure wish they had one of these in San Diego!

They call these 2 places "ghost towns" which is a bit of a misnomer. I do think that Madrid and Virginia City Nevada have a similar abandoned mining town vibe that we both found charming. And with the exception of the Virginia City Hat Maker, Madrid has better art. We came in on a Friday and just before a weekend music festival was to begin with the Mine Shaft being a major participant. We missed all than, but wouldn't have minded a little early live music. We snagged a nice outdoor table on the deck and enjoyed 2 different types of delicious brisket, along with generous portion of fries. I had a local beer, while Gayle had wine. We took our time and really enjoyed our time here. Until next time....
