I hadn't had Cracker Barrel for the first time until last year and man is it delicious. It's simple, breakfast and fried delights. I like that they feed my shopping addiction both before and after my meals, and I know what to expect when I eat there- no surprises! The waitresses are always very nice and my boyfriend puts us on the waitlist so we never have to wait when we show up (but I wouldn't complain anyways when I can shop and sit in a rocking chair)! Despite some of the poor reviews on this Cracker Barrel, I had excellent service and the food was fantastic. The waitress was very helpful. The Cracker Barrel was clean and had all of the typical storefront items and decorations. The only negative was that the parking lot had quite a bit of trash around it. read more

My boyfriend and I visited this location and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The wait time was extremely long, and when our food finally arrived, our order was incorrect. We ordered French toast to go and specifically asked for syrup and butter. We were told both items were included in the bag, but when we got home, neither was there. To make matters worse, when we went to check out, the staff couldn't locate our ticket and asked me to identify the server who helped us. It turned out she had been holding our ticket the entire time. A consistent menu all over the U.S. There's two locations in Albuquerque. Though their decor is also consistent with all other restaurants, the vibe at each one feels a tad different. The hosts at one are friendly but at the other, depending on who it is, not as welcoming. At that same location, on Coors, I was once charged for a small container of milk when I only requested enough milk for my coffee instead of the usual half n half. I quit the rewards program because too many times, the cashier didn't know how to process it. No biggie. The food is still delicious. The wood paneling is nostalgic yet often too dark. The restrooms are basically clean. Over the years, whether I was vegetarian or not, I've eaten my fave dishes but this time, I could not resist ordering their pork chops. I haven't been here in years, so was looking forward to giving it a try. I will start out by saying that our server was great, very attentive and the everyone was very friendly. The place is really what you'd expect from a cracker barrel in terms of the decor and the front area store which is always a delight. I do love looking through the old candies and other knickknacks. I wanted a lighter meal and decided I wanted the lemon pepper grilled rainbow trout. Reviewing the menu now it says it comes with two fillets, I was only served one! No wonder the dish seemed really really small. for the price, I wonder where the other one went. Too bad I hadn't remembered the menu that well when I was in the restaurant. The side salad, which is in the photo, was huge though. I guess I might go back if I want the fried food, but looking back now with the knowledge that they literally halved my meal, I'm not sure I will. Great news!!! I think they've gotten better after getting several bad reviews. Lately my servers have been awesome and today I had a newcomer, Precious... her real name. She was so polite and efficient. They've also made changes to the menu and added what I was wanting - "4-6 pm dinner specials." There's a group of about 6-7 dinners to choose from and the portions as well as the prices are reduced. My meal today was still enough for me to take some home. I got the Steak Tips w Garlic sauce, fresh broccoli and fresh mashed potatoes w brown gravy. All very good. I'm ok w mashed potatoes w some lumps bc then I know they're fresh and NOT instant. My dinner was $9.99. So all great for fighting the Inflation and still eating well. I skipped dessert today but the Peach Cobbler w a Scoop of Vanilla ice cream was very tempting. My family and I ordered a Heat and Serve Prime Rib and sides for Christmas. I lost the confirmation number that my Mom sent me in order to pick up the food. I called and Nemesia helped me. Despite it being the day before Christmas Eve and the restaurant being slammed, she got what I needed and relayed all information while displaying excellent customer service. We went in and had to wait a long time for someone to seat us. No one was at the hostess desk. We had to wait a long time for the waitress to take our drink and food order. When ordering we were told they were out of corn bread, that's no biggie. My husband wanted carrots with his meal but they were out of carrots. When our meals arrived my husband's plate was not correct. Since carrots were not available, he order broccoli. He got fried okra. The rest of the meal was ok. I was passing through Albuquerque and made a pit stop here for a quick meal. The hostess was friendly, but she sat my son and I at a dirty table. I decided to switch tables on my own. When she noticed that I switched tables, she asked me to move back to the table she initially sat me at. I told her it was dirty, so she grabbed a towel, wiped it down and asked me again to move back. It took awhile for our server to come out. She was very friendly. Before coming here, I didn't know that 98% of the food they serve here contains meat, so as someone who doesn't eat meat, I struggled to find something I could eat. The server told me even the salads have meat in them. So I was limited to a few items. I ended up with a side of mashed potatoes and a side of corn as my meal, my son had a kids breakfast plate. The silverware is wrapped in a brown bag, when I opened mine, they were dirty, another server brought me two more bags of utensils, and both of those were dirty too. The food was very good, but the service was very slow. As for the dining area, the tables are worn down, and the floors were dirty. The whole place could really use a deep cleaning and dusting. The Restrooms were clean though. The staff here was very friendly and welcoming, but don't think I'd ever go out of my way to come back here again. Cannot Recommend. read more

1st time trying cracker barrel, we dont have one it Los Angeles, California. My server Aiden was the BEST! VERY ATTENTIVE! Gave me so many recommendations and suggestions as it was my first time trying the food. I had the onion petals which were delicious. He suggested the Sunday special and that was finger licking good. Also had the loaded potato and bacon mac and cheese. All very delicious. Was told my food would be ready for pick up at 7:54 and I wasn't given my order till 8:43! A pretty good experience! We visited at 9:30pm during Balloon Fiesta's opening weekend. The servers were kind - especially considering the long days they probably have during this time! The nice thing about Cracker Barrel is that it is good at any / every Cracker Barrel you visit. I appreciate their consistency! Even though it was late we were given ample time and were not rushed. We came here expecting to get good fish and got fish jerky instead. The dish came with 4 small pieces of cod, not at all what I expected. The fish was over cooked and I felt I was eating fish jerky instead of cod. The fries were overcooked almost burned. We never got cornbread and the waitress was less than pleasant. We waited 30-40 minutes for our food and it was a complete disappointment. Don't order the fried fish, it's not worth the money and it's not good at all.
