Monte Cristo & Chicken Pot Pie
    Corinna P.

Me and my sister decided to come to Cheddars because she was craving the Pot Pie and I was craving their Monte Cristo so it was the perfect spot for both. We arrived shortly after opening so we were seated immediately by a very nice gentleman who also brought us our drinks and then ended up being our waiter. I wish I would have caught his name because he was very friendly and attentive. While waiting for our food he brought us out some complimentary sweet croissants which were delightful. We also ordered the Queso with the ground beef which is always delicious. Our main dishes did take a little longer than usual but when my Monte Cristo arrived it was just as good as always. I have had a lot of Monte Cristo Sandwiches around town and Cheddars has the best one hands down. My sister also enjoyed her Pot Pie. She said it was very comforting, buttery and warm. You can never go wrong with a Pot Pie. Overall service was great and the food was delicious and the prices are still very fair. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. We Always enjoy coming here

We got here late for a Friday evening, and a place is packed! Nonetheless, we were seated with friendly staff, and our drink and food orders taken right away. An excellent cocktail menu with a lot to choose from! The food menu has a lot of comfort type food and reading it all makes my stomach growl and anticipator hunger! The food did not take long to come out, and there was plenty of it! We shared the Monte Cristo and the chicken pot pie and let me tell you, both were extremely tasty and bountiful! Rich flavors and enough food to send you home with leftovers. The place is clean with clean restrooms. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a great time and by the end of dinner, we were stuffed! Very affordable and you get a lot for what you pay for!

My second time ever eating at cheddars and it was nothing like the first time. We were seated in less than 10 minutes which was not bad but we didn't get drinks for probably half an hour after that. We ordered an appetizer and also ordered our food. I'm not kidding you it took 40 minutes to get our food and the waiter brought our appetizer after our food had arrived. He was a nice man and took the appetizer off our bill. About our appetizer even though it was free, they forgot the chips and didn't bring any type of dipping sauces but we didn't complain. At this point we had sat so long we were just glad the food finally made it. The food itself was great. Our server was good but the wait times were horrible.

We waited 35 minutes for a table. As soon as we got to the table, we ordered an appetizer and our food. We got the cheese curds, which was gross tbh. When we got our food, the steak was RAW! I ordered it cooked medium. The pasta was also stale, and the green beans were nasty. We called our server and showed her, she said it was the 3rd time it happened that day. She took the steak and said they would remake it. We called her over and told her to take it off. She then said "I wish you would've told me before I sent it back" in a very passive aggressive way. And she then claimed she wanted to give it to her dog. After that, we asked for boxes and the check. They didn't take it off, only gave a $10 and $3 discount. The steak was 14.99 and we showed her. She said "do you really want me to go back for ONE dollar?" And we were stern and said yes. Still left her a 7 dollar tip. Worst experience ever

Steak and chicken tenders with hot honey sauce. Broccoli cheddar casserole. Buttered corn..fried

Let me start off with saying our waiter and trainee were really good. I ordered the steak and chicken tenders with hot honey sauce and side broccoli cheddar casserole and corn. My partner got ribs with chicken tenders (same as me) with baked potato and cheesy fries. This was probably one of the worst meals I ever had. My steak didn't look "real" no grain to the meat what so ever and looked like the synco meat (meat glue to make it look like steak). The broccoli casserole was real dry and not cheesy at all. Corn is corn so that was good. Also the spinach dip love that so please don't ever change what's going on with that. The place itself is real nice like the dark vibes and the presentation. But the food is something I'm not going to go for again. I'm just disappointed with my meal today such a shame I had to pay for a meal we only took a couple bites out of.

Rib eye. And fries. Very tasty broccoli also

This was my first visit to this establishment on April 8, 2025. A friend and I met there for lunch. It was busy and crowded at lunchtime, but we were seated right away. There is ample parking. There is very nice ambient light. The decor is relaxed. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The menu is long enough to have many good choices. I had a ribeye steak with fries, and my friend had fish and chips. The steak was cooked to exactly medium rare. The fries were very tasty. The fish and chips were very nicely done. Prices are very reasonable.

Stopped by for a work luncheon. Their staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were able to split our checks seamlessly. I got the Cajun chicken bowl. It was flavorful and the chicken was tender. It might be worthwhile to get extra pico on the side.

We decided to stop by for a bite to eat after a movie at the theater. All of our food was great. The server was really good and efficient. The atmosphere was nice quiet The popeyes were a hit and my monte cristo sandwich was awesome.

I had been wanting to try this place for quite a while now and finally had the chance to do so (they don't have any near where I live). Came for a late lunch around 2:30pm on a Mon and was so glad we did as it was not busy at all. Our meal started with the warm croissants and melted butter on top. At first I thought it was going to be sweet but if anything it was a light honey butter. In any case, it was good but not piping hot out of the oven (probably just kept warm). Ordered the 6 oz steak with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and the broccoli casserole as recommended by my friend. All was tasty but not spectacular. Portions were smaller than expected but that was perfect cause it was just the right amount of food. Also ordered the "watermelonvodkarita". Huge drink and thought what the heck did I order but it was not strong at all so don't feel intimidated to order it. Service and value is where this place shines! Our server was very friendly and efficient. Kept checking up on us and very attentive. Drinks were 6.99/ea which wasn't bad for the size and my entree with two sides was 13.29 which isn't a bad price at all. I wouldn't mind trying this chain again.

    Complimentary glazed croissants. Really yummy.

Both pies were very good but unless I'm really wanting green chile, I'm jumping on the chicken pie. My wife's favorite wasn't excited about either. She doesn't like all the vegetables. (Think meat, potatoes and gravy for her.) Personally I like the abundant vegetables added to the pies. The cornbread was excellent, especially with the honey butter it came with. These pies are huge, the cornbread a very good size slice and the cookie was about 6" diameter. Our normal pattern of ordering a single meal and splitting it could easily be done, in fact we might still have had leftovers with a single meal. We will certainly visit again.

The area looks old and poor, but near the restaurant, we didn't see anything sketchy. When we were leaving, we did see some homeless people at the main intersection, but we didn't see anything we'd describe as sketchy. We did notice there is a mobile home park behind the restaurant, but there is a wall between the mobile home park and the restaurant parking lot. Even if there were police surrounding the mobile home park, we'd still venture inside to eat. The food is that good. We shared the cowboy breakfast burrito and the Santa Fe pancakes. Both were filling and ridiculously good. The Santa Fe pancakes made with blue corn, roasted piñons, green chili, and cheddar jack cheese were different than anything else we've ever had. I'll admit I didn't love my first bite or two, but the more I ate, the more I wanted. The pancakes are dry, but if you drizzle some syrup, it's the perfect match. The accompanying eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The cowboy breakfast burrito is massive, filling, and worth every calorie. Even though we were stuffed, we had to get the peach with green chile turnover. We asked if the turnover is served warm and our waitress replied that she could warm it up for is. I'm not sure that it is normally served warm, but I highly recommend it. The turnover flaky, the glaze was silky once warmed up and the peach with green chile was unique and delicious. Five star service and food. I highly recommend Vick's Vittles and hope that I'm in the area again so I can try more of this delicious food.

I don't even know where to start but here goes. The New Mexican Philly cheesesteak, arguably my favorite dish, very very different take on what a cheesesteak usually is (not in a bad way). I was first skeptical when I ordered it, but I saw all the great reviews on the dish so I had to try. This was oddly enough my 4th favorite Philly cheesesteak I've ever had, which is weird to say because the first 3 favorites were actually in Philly and made the traditional way. Something about the spicy queso sauce and the soft fatty tasting meat just really brought it home. The huevos rancheros: every inch was flavorful , saucy, cheesy and lovely. I enjoyed even more the parts where I could also taste the tortilla at the bottom, wish it was in more of the dish but it's okay the flavors were outstanding. Another 5 star dish! Next time I'll also try it with eggs over medium. The Xmas chile cheese fries: best chile cheese fries in New Mexico! The fries themselves tasted like they were hand cut, so either they had some high quality freezer fries or they definitely cut those fries by hand. Either way I wasn't complaining! Their green chile was insanely good. We also had the Green Chile stew, the flavors and ingredients were really good. I think for people that love home cooking this will feel really nostalgic for them. Like grandmas caldo she used to make. For me, the dry texture of the beef reminded me way too much of my mom's dry / rough beef she always had in her stews . Objectively I can say it was a really nice caldo, but the tortillas, not sure how I could grab on to much of the food with it really. I think this might be a dish best eaten in house. I also tipped their staff $2 in addition to the driver tip , and they wrote a funny joke on the plate which I thought was cute haha. I kept the rating at 5 stars but I hope that management reads this review because I do have one critique. All the food was in styrofoam and non sustainable plastic. Styrofoam especially has been banned from some places including California because when heated it, it adds cancer causing chemicals into your food. I would gladly pay $0.35 per meal to receive the meals in sustainable packaging that will keep me healthy. Because of this, I think I won't be ordering from here for delivery and hope that I have time to make the 20 minute drive to go there in person. It's really good food! Found this place on DoorDash but the funny part is it's been near my house the whole time next to the barber shop I've been to plenty of times.

The shrimp were perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy, seasoned to perfection with a subtle kick that danced on my taste buds. The grits were creamy and rich, with just the right amount of buttery goodness, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that left me wanting more. Next up was the Fried Chicken and Waffle Jr. Plate, a true masterpiece. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, seasoned with a secret blend of spices that elevated it to new heights. The waffle was fluffy and golden, a perfect vessel for soaking up every drop of syrup. One is the darker bar area but we were seated in a room full of full length windows that opened. I had a flight of their beers and enjoyed them all. For lunch I had their red chile bbq pork sandwich while my wife had the enchiladas. The food is a mix of Southern soul food and New Mexican standards. My wife actually preferred her food here over the well regarded New Mexican restaurant we went the previous day. I really liked my sandwich with its kiss of heat.

WHAT NO RIBS!?!? I'd seen the tv commercials lately about Nexis and boasting about their RIBS so…read morewe came to eat some. But, to our surprise this Nexis does NOT have ribs! Only the other one in the South Valley (where we never go) has them. The tv commercials didn't say that. I did let the servers know this bc I felt it was false advertising. We got a Flight of 4 different beers and "settled" on a fried fish w salad which was ok and their grilled catfish tacos which you had to eat w a fork bc they were too messy to pick up w your fingers.. They tasted ok but the salsa and a pink sauce (?) helped to give them more flavor. The atmosphere was ok and the Friday evening crowd was arriving. We ate inside and our server, Sophia, was very good. It didn't take long to get our dinners except my partner's salad took forever! The salads are included w the meals. My salad was different and good which was a Blackeye pea, corn, & more ingredients. My experience there was disappointing since I wanted ribs and not "soggy" fish tacos. I might go back for the beer only.

Great servers! Everyone was helpful and kind so front of house manager must be doing their job!…read moreFood was delicious. Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

Extremely disappointing experience at Sixty Six Acres…read more We walked in and were seated immediately on the patio. I had read so many positive reviews and was genuinely excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we walked out without ever being served. While we sat there, multiple staff members walked past our table without acknowledging us. No greeting. No water. No "someone will be right with you." Nothing. Then another couple arrived after us and was seated in the same small patio area. They were promptly greeted, given water, and attended to by a waiter who seemed more than happy to serve them. Meanwhile, we were still sitting there trying to figure out whether anyone planned to acknowledge our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was looking around and realizing there were no other Black or Brown patrons in the establishment at the time. I cannot definitively say race played a role in how we were treated, but given the stark difference in service between our table and the couple seated after us, I would be dishonest if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. We eventually got up and left. Good food reviews mean very little if certain guests can sit at a table while staff repeatedly walk past them as though they aren't there. Whether this was discrimination, poor training, or simply terrible service, the experience was unacceptable and left us feeling completely unwelcome. We came prepared to spend our money and enjoy dinner. Instead, Sixty Six Acres made it very easy for us to take our business elsewhere.
