As a server myself that has worked in the restaurant bizz for years I'm extremely disgusted with the service and food. The servers were rude, the place is a dump and our food was extremely low quality for the price. This place is super sketchy And only out for your money. As we received terrible service we didn't receive not one apology, the servers didn't bother even cleaning up as we piled dishes for them to be taken from table and the owner sat there and watched-did nothing to accommodate. On a second occasion I placed an order several hours in advance through the Grub Hub App. The order was confirmed. I later got a message stating that the order was delayed. Finally, right before my order was due to arrive it was -you guessed it- cancelled again. This restaurant obviously is not equipped to work with a delivery service and should not do so. read more

Service was slow but I get that they may not be able to hire sufficient staff. We also waited an HOUR for our food. It arrived COLD. ALSO...the female servers were dressed as if they worked at HOOTERS Shorts were so short you could see everything when they leaned over to serve. This is a family restaurant not a bar downtown. Buyer beware!! The service was poor, the waitress had a horrible attitude and not friendly. We were told to keep six feet apart on the buffet line however that was impossible to do. The food was not impressive and not restocked quickly. The pancakes were not fully cooked and the scrambled eggs gray. Disappointing service and food. I've heard about this place for quite awhile but never had the urge to go until I saw their advertisement on social media. They had a lobster roll pictured in their advertisement. I needed to go that night! I was a little bummed when I got there that they didn't have outdoor seating (there's tons of outdoor space). The restaurant inside was very small. There are some larger tables but you might want to make a reservation if you want one. My friend and I were also disappointed when we wanted to order a pitcher of beer. They don't do pitchers so we had to stick to pints. We survived. We started with fried calamari served with marinara sauce. I would have preferred the sauce to be served cold since it was hot calamari and hot marinara but that's personal preference. The lobster roll was phenomenal. The bun was buttery and toasted. There was tons of perfectly cooked buttery lobster shoved into that bun and falling out of it as well. It was perfect. I honestly have no clue where else to go in Buffalo for a lobster roll but this is definitely a great place to go for one! read more

The fish fry was awful. Totally tasteless. Ironically, the Rueben bites tasted like fish. My 10 month old grandson needed a high chair. It was gross. We asked the girl to wash it 3 times. It was still gross as we were wiping off the puddle of water she left on the high chair. There were fruit flies everywhere. The place is a dump with a menu as if they have class. I'd say the bartender licking the whipped cream off her finger didn't express that this is a hole in the wall. We had read the reviews and thought to try it. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were pleasantly seated in seconds with menu's. Then we sat and sat there for 20 minutes with no waitress and no water served. It wasn't until we approached the hostess and stated we haven't had a waitress that one came over. It's a small place with three waitresses and nine tables, it shouldn't be hard to know when customers are taken care of or not. Yes the lobster special is a value meal, and it seemed as though all customers were ordering that. We had reservations, but were told that they thought the reservation was for the previous day. We had 6 people and reservations were for 6pm. No biggie, we had 2 adult beverages and our table was ready at 7:10. It is extremely small inside, and there is only one apartment sized air conditioner for the entire dining area. So, it was extremely warm and uncomfortable. Nevertheless, our group was excited for a night out. The appetizers were delicious. We had fried pepper rings, bacon wrapped shrimp, a dozen steamers and pizza logs. Our entrees were very good too. Our waitress was sweet, but forgot to bring out the chef salads before our entrees, forgot mushrooms for one of the steak dinners and gave my medium rare steak to my friend's wife and I received her medium steak. The food was great, but I would suggest that the owners spend a few dollars on a split level air conditioner for a lot more comfort for patrons and the poor staff that works hours at a time in the extreme warm/hot weather. This place is delicious and has a great atmosphere. We went there today for lunch, and our party had 6 separate dishes as well as an appetizer. First of all, the decor is simple (two giant forks on the wall) while still being clean, fresh, and refined (beautiful wood floors, small dining room, wood-top bar). For lunch, it's a casual place that feels very neighborly. But I can also see how it would be a fun date-night spot, the tables are widely spaced for privacy with white table-linens and a classic feel. The bar has multiple TV's but they're not blasting, and you can easily have a conversation without feeling like you're competing with the bar area. The lunch menu was diverse without being overwhelming, and there were several specials as well. We had 4 adults and 2 children and ordered two orders of calamari, the Beef on Weck, the Salmon burger (a special), the Pod burger, the Pulled Pork, and chicken fingers and grilled cheese. All came with their signature Side-Winder fries. The calamari was light and fresh. I hate overly breaded and overly fried calami, so I was thrilled with the light, fresh breading. They weren't greasy, and the marinara was delicious. We finished them in no time, and our two 18 month olds ate almost an entire plate themselves! The salmon burger was really fresh with a lemon verde sauce on top and herbs mixed throughout. Generous serving and a fresh brioche bun. The Beef on Weck puts any in the area to shame, and the kimmelweck bun was no joke. The Pod burger was huge and cooked perfectly (it was ordered medium rare) and the pulled pork was sweet and saucy. The kids ate grilled cheese (a classic and a very generous size, perfectly buttery and not greasy) and chicken fingers (which had a great sauce on them, mild and sweet with just a little tang, I would want them on a chicken finger salad in a heartbeat!) Lastly, the Side-Winder fries are AMAZING. I do NOT like fries, I always give them to my husband, but I ate ALL of these. They are thick and potato-y, like a giant wedge fry with a twist, and the seasoning on them is something out of this world. No ketchup required. The service was also excellent, the owner was super friendly and really accommodating even though we had 2 little ones with us (today they were quiet and great but we all know kids can be a burden in restaurants sometimes) and even brought them some sliced apples to munch on. Lobster roll was fairly good but plain, the size of a hot dog roll) which was soggy on bottom. Surprised not having any lemon wedges included in any of our orders. We order through Door Dash. I ordered the Lobster Roll and fries. I didn't like the rolls it was just like a piece of white bread. The fries were good. The lobster was good. My husband ordered the lobster tacos. It didn't come with the citrus garlic spread or the green onions. The lobster meat did not have the cartilage picked out of it. Well I read all the reviews and had good expectations for this place. Un-fork-tunatly it did not work out that way. This ranks among the worst restaurants we have been to in the past year. Smaller than it looks, small bar, about 10 tables. We ordered clam chowder first, as it was the day's special. So did the table next to us. Both ours and theirs arrived warm to lukewarm. We could hear the next table discussing whether or not to send it back. We did send ours back. They continued to eat and discuss the cool soup, but ours came back with actual steam rising. Once it was hot it was kind of average clam chowder, enough to earn one star. The Partially heated soup would be a continuing theme at this restaurant. Our calamari also arrived partly heated. Anything fresh out of the fryer is usually pretty hot. This tasted like it had been refrigerated, or frozen, and only partly reheated. Next the lobster ravioli was cold, and without the lemon butter sauce on the menu. There was however a packet of butter and a slice of lemon on the side. Was that the " lemon butter sauce" ? The medium cheeseburger was also lukewarm, as if had been set out for 5-10 minutes before the waitress finally picked it up. Chilly food complaints also emanated from the table next to us, but they chose not to send anything back. The famous "sidewinder fries" we're just barely warm. Come on, it's really difficult to serve chilly French fries. The table next to us elected not to tip the waitress, believing all the cool food was her fault, as they discussed among themselves. They would not be back but chose not to complain. We did choose to give the waitress a 20%, but only because it was the week before Christmas. We won't be back. read more

First time here, not bad but wasn't too impressed. I got the shrimp scampi and my mother go the lobster roll. We ended up switching with each other because I wasn't a fan of how lemon-y the scampi was--but she liked it nonetheless. We moved from a table to the bar because we couldn't move our elbows without hitting the person next to us and I was getting a bit claustrophobic. The bartender and our previous waitress were super nice! They're a bit understaffed--even for how small the place was. Waited a bit for the food and check but it was a cool experience of local food and people. Don't know if I'd go back for dinner but I did enjoy the staff and company and would go for a drink. If you're craving a lobster roll though, this is a great option. It was nice and light because they make it without mayo. read more

This was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We ordered food to go as a celebration meal after reading good things about this restaurant. We ordered the lobster lasagna and a well done burger. After waiting in line for twenty minutes as our food cooled on the shelf we watched the staff running around frantically yet never dealing with the to go orders. When we got the food home much of the meal we had ordered was MISSING. The lobster lasagna came with nothing (forgot the salad and dinner roll) and the burger came with the fries missing. On top of that the "well done" burger was charred on the outside and raw ground beef on the inside. I mean really raw. We called the restaurant to tell them about our order issues and were directed towards an answering service where we left a message and requested a call back that never came. read more

I wanted to like this place but was extremely disappointed. We ordered an appetizer special of Bacon wrapped lobster bites- they were pretty tasty but served with onion rings which was strange. From here it went downhill fast! First it took about 45 minutes to get our food after the appetizer was served! There were only 2 adults and a kid in our party! I had a steak/lobster special and the lobster was super over cooked you could barely chew it. Steak was cooked well but no seasoning of any kind was used. Very bland. My husband ordered the fish fry which was very heavy beer batter with zero flavor. My child ordered pasta with butter- small bowl of penne with a few strands of spaghetti thrown in??? I did take out at 2 Forks Up and the fish fry was very good. However, instead of tartar sauce, I was given blue cheese. It's the small things that could make or break a meal. It tells me something about the disorganization of their kitchen to mix up the two. Just a warning for take out folks. Check your order before leaving. This is the 2nd time I have ordered cod fish fry and received haddock. I was told the haddock was very good as well but I am unable to eat this more dense fish so I dined on fries and a bit of cole slaw. Caught the problem the 1st time when I put packages in my car and returned it inside. There was no problem with replacement other than other items cooled down while waiting for replacement. This occasion I had too many items to manipulate so did not check. I arrived home with an item I was unable to consume. Also purchased their crab legs and other items, all very good, sides are less than inspiring but no one goes here for the sides. Wish I had received the cod I ordered because it is always terrific and I look forward to this meal. I realize this place can get very busy but need to work on your order processing. read more

I expected this place to be wayyyyy better. I was drawn in by their lobster fest! I got the surf n turf! I mean first of all luckily I saw it on Facebook because there was no surf n turf on the menu, or listed anywhere in the restaurant. And I thought you got more sides like corn or something. Besides the lobster and steak all we got was a dinner roll and big scoop of potato salad. I thought we got corn or some kind of vegetable. But we have our order and the waitress said ok and walked away so we assumed we had say in sides. I must say tho, the steak was AMAZING a 6oz sirloin steak but it was tender as a fillet and cooked perfectly! I would go back just for the steak. The lobster was kinda dry. I don't know if they steamed them before hand but the meat was dried out a little bit. The worst part was the service in this restaurant tho!!!! There was ONE PERSON being the bartender, hostess, busser, and all the wait staff. It took FOREVER to get a drink or get anything because she was doing to much. I heard other customers complaining too but she seemed oblivious to the problem....one couple asked "are you short tonight?" After they waited for a glass of wine....confused she said "No, why?" That was the biggest problem honestly and I would go back but ONLY if I knew they had a hostess, bartender, and multiple waitstaff ALL WORKING AT THE SAME TIME!!!! I think on a better day the lobster would be good. But they should let you pick from a selection of sides like corn on the Cobb or fries. Something! I hated that they just picked for me.....Also they have no desserts! At least none on the menu. This is a great concept for a restaurant! We had been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time. Having heard great reviews about their seafood, we made a reservation. Upon arrival, a bubbly hostess promptly greeted us. She then led the way to a make-shift patio dumped in the middle of a parking lot. We were a little surprised, but it's Covid...and food and service are what matters. It was a busy evening and our server seemed annoyed, as evidenced by her impersonal attitude towards us. Not a biggee either I guess, but a friendly server is always a plus. The menu was extensive. A seafood lover's delight. So we ordered the scallops provencal...as scallops smothered in mushroom, onion, and tomato sounded yummy. The meal price was $24 and came with a side salad, 5 scallops, and broccoli rice. We upped the side salad to a large, as we were told it was the same as a house salad. It wasn't. What we received was a bowl of romaine with about 4 tomato wedges. Pretty disappointing. The scallops arrived swimming in butter, with no tomato or mushroom. Why they call it provencal is beyond me. It isn't. We got a ladle of "broccoli rice" thrown on our plate, and there was no broccoli to be found. This lovely mess was accompanied by some type of a store bought roll that looked like it had been sat on. Aside from the scallops being tasty, this meal was slop. I so wish I had taken a picture. Actually, the restaurant, which is the size of a postage stamp...is quite the run-down dive posing as a suburban eatery. But if management is trying to pull off what you'd find on a fishing warf in a 3rd world country...they've nailed it. Either we're a bit fussy, or the rave reviews are paid to do so. I was generous with my 2 stars because the hostess was friendly, and the scallops were good. Truth be told, this place should be called 2 Forks Down. My father and i wanted to go out for dinner. We looked up a sea food place and came across 2 forks up. Coming from niagara falls. Oh my god it was so good! I had the 6oz filet with alaskan crab legs. And my dad had the 6oz filet with lobster. It was just amazing. Our server nicole was awesome she new the specials like the back of her hand and the prices. Service and food was quick. She was on top of filling our drinks. And then we got carrot cake which was just so amazing. It was all great! We will definetly be back!!! read more

The bruschetta and crab cake appetizers were good. The dinners not at all! They forgot my salad; my shrimp skewers were so over cooked that I could not eat them. The salmon was supposed to be butter with capers, it was served without the capers. Another diner at our table said his fried shrimp tasted like Mrs. Paul's.
