My wife and I hired these guys to move our 1-bedroom apartment. They showed up and immediately one of them went into our kitchen and grabbed a kitchen knife and started to use it as a box cutter. It surprised me that they didn't bring their own tools but it was a cheap knife so I didn't think much of it. They brought their own boxes, but after the move we noticed that all the boxes that we had accumulated for our personal use (as well as our packing tape) had been used by them. They used OUR supplies before using their own without our permission. It took them around 4 hours to pack around half of our apartment, which seemed a little ridiculous. They then told me they were going to have to drive to the new location, unload, take a lunch break, then finally come back. Since it was taking a lot longer than we expected, I told them we would just finish moving ourselves as it was getting very expensive. As they were unloading at our new place, they made it very clear that other clients were waiting on them and that we had "too much stuff". It seemed unprofessional to try to pin their tardiness on us. If that's an issue, maybe ask a new client what kind of stuff to expect in the home so you know what size truck to bring. When they were trying to move our bed upstairs it would not immediately fit so one of them asked if I had any tools. Why would I have any tools if you just packed all of our belongings? I said no, and he just went outside and grabbed a tool bag they had brought with them... why wouldn't you just use your own tools in the first place?? All in all, they were friendly and definitely worked hard, but it was a very lackluster experience compared to other movers I've worked with in the past. I reached out to Murat to schedule moving our apartment on kind of short notice and he was able to get us in. My only complaint would be that we started later in the day than we anticipated but we had the second slot of the day and if the first move of the day is large that can delay things. It was very easy to reach Murat to get an update on when they'd be arriving. Murat got to our place with two assistants and immediately got to work. I was initially worried that paying by the hour would mean they'd take their time, but they were moving quickly and working hard! They wrapped all our furniture and were successful in moving a very big mirror that has a glass frame around it. It would have been very easy to break in the move but there's not a scratch on it. These guys are pros. Not only were they quick, they were also efficient. The way they fit all our stuff in the truck was impressive - they used all the space available to them and made sure everything was secure. They worked well together and were EXTREMELY friendly and polite. I have used other moving services in the past and this was the best experience I've had with any moving company. We originally mentioned (on several of my phone conversations) that we had 1 bedroom apt and one storage unit (10x5) to be picked up. The crew consisted of three folks and one of them was an inexperienced kid who constantly dropped our belongings. Since my wife is 9 months pregnant she was not about to lift anything so I pitched in whenever I could to move a bit faster and compensate for the slower kid. The main gentleman (Murat) was constantly giving handling directions to these two kids since they arrived at my storage unit so the team packing experience level was minimal at best. I've been packing for 5 days straight so I was already a bit tired but I helped out and directed where to put what where. That being said, the muscle team did NOT seem to acknowledge the labels on my boxes that were marked: "Fragile" and during the move the two kids seem to somehow ignore these warnings. Notwithstanding a few dropped boxes, I was there to remind them what "Fragile" means. After everything was packed, we decided to detour to a trash facility nearby where we disposed some of my items; this was a very nice gesture from the gentleman driver. Later, when the entire crew arrived at my apt complex, I somehow knew the 16 ft truck was not big enough but I thought: "ok..we shall see how efficient the packing is..". Turns out we had to make a 2nd trip to pick up the rest of our furniture and since they charge hourly it came up to be 10 hours (much more than I originally anticipated). Very disappointed that the company would underestimate the truck space that is required for such a move. They wore no gloves so our couch tops arrived dirty with hand prints and the mattress corners were also dirty because they could not seem to handle it upstairs (the corners slid into the open staircase/dirty siding). The two kids could not understand instructions from the gentleman on how to properly handle our heavy items upstairs. Now, the mattress was fully covered in plastic but they tore it coming upstairs. In addition, our living room mirror arrived broken but the gentleman decided to fix it and return it to us at a later date (ok). Also, the handling of our bed frame caused it to drop one crucial piece (we have a mechanical bed). Proper mechanics would guide you to handle a McRoskey bed at the center frame side not the latch or side area.We have someone come out and repair the bed (fortunately it is still under warranty). I move quite a bit but I honestly cannot recommend this company. Perhaps I got an exception bunch but the company needs to revisit proper crew training and handling. read more

They arrived on-schedule and quickly assessed what needed to be done. They wrapped and blanketed all the furniture before moving it, including some awkward and heavy pieces handled with expert care. They also had a great attitude the whole time and clearly worked their butts off, jogging to and from the truck. Worth every penny. I am glad I asked 2 Guyz Moving for my moving. I did not move a large amount because there were very little amount of large furniture, but I did need a help. I originally asked for help on TaskRabbit for moving on Saturday, but the appointment was cancelled on the day of the moving, and I desperately needed help. So I contacted a few moving companies on Yelp, and 2 Guyz Moving had availability that day and offered the lowest quotes. Murat and his assistant arrived in the afternoon, and it looked to me that they were efficient and very competent. Even though it was a short distance moving and I did not have a large amount, it took two hours - so it would have been much worse if I did with only one TaskRabbit helper. I am not going to go into great details about our recent and latest experience with Murat - it would take six single spaced pages for me to outline and air all of my complaints about him and his service. instead, I want to post a WARNING about dealing with him SO THAT OTHERS WILL NOT FALL VICTIM TO HIS QUESTIONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES. We (me, my wife and our daughter) had a prior dealing with him, and his service was excellent. In fact, his service was so outstanding moving our daughter that my wife and I decided to engage his services from SF to Lincoln, CA. MURAT HAS ISSUES WITH DISPLACED ANGER. He had employee issues on the day of our move, and he took out his anger against his employees towards us. This displaced anger resulted in unsatisfactory and incomplete moving services to be provided to us; unsatisfactory and incomplete assembly of a modular desk unit that initially he stated would be no problem in reassembling; reneged on his payment terms. For our move to Lincoln, CA, we met with Murat TWICE before the move to outline and confirm the terms and conditions of the move and payment terms. The first time that we met was in August 2018 right after our daughter's move, and the second time was on October 27, 2018, 3 days before our scheduled move on October the 30th. Both times, he physically and personally visited our house and reviewed all of the items to be moved from SF to Lincoln. I should also point out that we wanted to schedule our move for a date earlier than October the 30th, but when we contacted Murat in early October, he informed us that his father had just died and that he would need to go to Turkey for two weeks his funeral and other family matters. We told him that we were sorry for his loss, and that we would wait until he came back to the United States for our move because we were so impressed with the way that he handled our daughter's move. First of all, when we met with Murat on October the 27th,we were told by him that he would provide us with the paperwork to outline and confirm the terms and conditions of the move and payment terms before October the 30th. Murat did not email the contract to us before October the 30th as he promised on October the 27th. Secondly, on October the 30th when he showed up at our house for our scheduled move, he did not provide us with the contract prior to beginning the move. Since we had prior dealings with Murat and felt that he was sincere and honest, we did not push the matter of the contract on the morning of October the 30th when he commenced our move. THIS TURNED OUT TO BE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE ON OUR PART. We should have insisted that he provide us with a written contract that outlined and confirmed what he verbally stated in August and again on October the 27th what he would do. However, since we had prior dealings with Murat, we felt that we could trust him to honor his verbal commitment. TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE THINKING ABOUT HIRING HIM, DON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE THAT WE DID. INSIST THAT ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS BE SPECIFIED IN DETAILED WRITING BEFORE HE PHYSICALLY STARTS ANY WORK. Thirdly, on October the 30th upon arrival at our Lincoln, CA house, Murat failed to arrange our furniture, reassemble our modular desk unit, and remove all moving supply trash from the premises - all verbally stated and promised per our meetings with him in August of 2018 and again on October 27, 2018. Fourthly, on October the 30th, at the conclusion of our incomplete move, Murat would not honor acceptance of credit card payment without an additional fee of $200. He would also not accept a check in lieu of credit payment, again without an additional fee. INSTEAD HE INSISTED ON COLD HARD CASH FROM US IN ORDER TO AVOID ANY TYPE OF ADDITIONAL FEE. Fifthly, after we paid him with our credit card, which included the additional and arbitrary additional fee, HE HAD THE NERVE TO ASK FOR A TIP FOR HIS SERVICES OVER AND ABOVE THE $2,100 THAT WE PAID TO HIM VIA CREDIT CARD. So perhaps we are to blame for being so trusting of him. We should have insisted that before he started the move, that we have all terms and conditions listed and confirmed in a written contract prior to him physically starting our move. IN CONCLUSION, MY ADVICE AND WARNING IS DON'T RELY ON MURAT'S VERBAL STATEMENTS AND PROMISES. iNSIST ON HAVING ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OUTLINED, LISTED AND CONFIRMED IN A WRITTEN CONTRACT PRIOR TO HAVING HIM AND HIS CREW MOVE ANY OF YOUR ITEMS. Very friendly and efficient, moving was done quickly but carefully. I needed a moving service twice - to move my stuff to storage, and a month later, moving from the storage to my new house. Murat was very responsive over the phone, and over text. He showed up on time both times, and all the items were carefully taken care of. When I called at 2, he told was packing up and would be here at 2:30. When I called at 2:40, he told me he was leaving from East Bay and still on the Bay Bridge. It's fine if you are late but I have obligations and Murat did not provide any realistic heads up. To tell me he would get to Burlingame at 2:30 from the East Bay at 2 is disingenuous.
