The ambiance and atmosphere is nice. Elizabeth was a very friendly host and we were seated immediately. Our waitress Olivia was kind, but not very attentive. I can count on one hand how many times she came to the table. As for the food, the food was very bland. It tastes like nothing. Our party ordered garlic fries and Brussels sprouts for the table and it literally tasted like resort food. I had the chipotle chicken pasta and I was supremely disappointed. I was super excited to try this restaurant. We drove all the way from Long Beach It's very cute a little dusty though, but I love the decoration . I ordered the steak and eggs. The plate looked delicious but then I turned it around because I always like to have the eggs on the right side and as I was turning it, I saw a hair!!! must've been an arm hair nonetheless I found it very disgusting so I waved one of the waitresses down discreetly and they immediately took my plate apologize and took it back. My boyfriend received his food. He finished his food and I'm still waiting for my plate. They did bring me a new steak, but our breakfast is kind of ruined. My boyfriend had finished eating and I was just getting started, but my stomach was already bothered by the hair! The good part was that they have a lavender lemonade, which I found very delicious and unique. My boyfriend had the regular lemonade. It was OK he said recommendations. They should always look at the food before they take it out and be more careful with hygiene I recommend dusting the flowers. They look really dusty in sunburned the umbrella that is supposedly white has a bunch of water marks that just also really looks disgusting like it's been pulled out of an alley. Just had the worst Mother's Day brunch ever. We had to wait for 20 minutes even though we had reservations. Then they served my teenager's meal 20 minutes before they served my meal or the sides we ordered. When they served my meal (I ordered the very berry french toast), they told me they were out of berries. They plopped down french toast with a handful of old blueberries. Never bothered to tell me when I ordered that they were out of berries and didn't give me a discount even though my dish was missing the main part. I should have gotten a photo of the back room but it was a fun vibe. Classic Audrey Hepburn meets designer fashion decor. The chairs were animal print and the wall colors were bold pink and blue. We all had burgers and we all thought they were delicious. I had the curry veggie burger (without the curry sauce because it's made from chicken stock) and it was yummy. I wish they offered fully vegetarian option though. I appreciated their lemonades as the mocktails. I had the guava lemonade and next time I want to try the lavender lemonade. The service was good. Incredible breakfast with super friendly staff! Elizabeth was our server and she was very kind with the loveliest smile. We found this place on a whim while driving on a rainy day and it was exactly the fuel we needed. We ordered the 3 egg plate w chicken Italian sausage and potatoes, rajun cajun pasta, and the very berry French toast (fruits were so fresh!), and everything was delicious. Sad to find out that this place will be closing shop after the end of the year. It was a very cute inside too, i should've taken some pics of the interior. My friend and I went to this spot for brunch on a lovely 110 degrees Sunday. The spot is very close to a lot of other businesses and parking is available but not ideal as I believe you can only parallel park. The restaurant definitely has a cute quirky vibe with framed photos of famous women and cute pink flowers everywhere on the walls. Even the cups had their own character to them! We got seated, our server gave us our waters and we ordered cold brew, a cup of orange juice and a cup of lemonade. We then ordered our own entrees, my friend got the 19 French toast which smelled sooo delicious and the sweet potato waffle fries that came with where super crispy and warm. I got the chorizo plate which was very hearty and not at all too heavy. I will say that I did ask for hot sauce because I felt it needed a kick of spice. The portions where very appropriate, we did have some left overs but it wasnt too much leftover food. The prices where also very reasonable. I really did like this spot and we had a great time chatting and eating but my only complaint is that there is no AC in this place so do not come here when it's over 90 degrees. This place was very eclectic. The moment I walked in I saw a Christmas Grinch right in front of me with it being highly decorative. I had a type of sushi burger and it was honestly pretty great. I just really hate to be writing this review because I am truly disappointed. We've e been coming here for years, but it was the first time we ever came in the evening. We went around six on a Sunday. The vibe was definitely different from the usual time we come, which is for brunch. It was a much older crowd (elderly) which was fine. It was quiet. It's just usually more lively during the brunch hours, but a nice change nevertheless. We were seated immediately when we arrrived in the outdoor patio, our favorite spot to sit. The ambiance is shabby sheikh decor, super cute and cozy. It wasn't crowded there were about 3 tables occupied on the patio when it's usually full, so that was nice. We sat there waiting for someone to come over to offer us water or something but to my dismay no one came. There were two waitresses, a bust boy, and the hostess but everyone acted like they were too busy. They huddle a few times but still no one came. They looked over at us several times, but no one came. We sat there twiddling our thumbs wondering when they were going to come. I was trying my best to keep my cool but finally when the bust boy looked over for the fourth time and after their third huddle I was highly irritated. I tried to look past it and order a drink but they were out of what I ordered. My friend tried to order another drunk, but they didn't serve hard liquor. So why do you have something on the menu and run out at 6 in the evening.... Dinner time. Anyway just another disappointment to add to the list. The waiter acted as if we hadn't been sitting there for 10 minutes and he didn't see us, until I said something and then he apologized, but by then it was too late. We politely told him how rude and unprofessional the service was and left. We felt deliberately ignored and they made it very obvious. It's unfortunate that people who work in customer service behave this way. It's not only insulting to the customer but to the establishment as well because we have never felt this way coming here. The service has always been good. We called it one of our favorite local spots. Those people who were there last night need to be re-trained in customer service as well as cultural sensitivity training to treat everyone with respect no matter what they look like. Although we didn't eat, the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths and we are not sure if we will be back. read more

This has been my favorite place for so many years!! so many regulars and locals because we all know how much of a gem this place is!! The food is out of this world! Not only is the flavor beyond incredible, but you can tell the ingredients are so fresh!! The staff is so sweet and respectful and accommodating. Haven't been to 26 Beach in a while, but some friends were looking to do a celebratory brunch in the area and it was the first place to come to mind. At 10:30am on a Tuesday, it was pretty empty, so we got a great table on the patio, which is beautiful and kitsch as ever. The service was wonderful, as our wait staff were very accommodating. I remembered that the portions are quite large, so we went for more of a family style approach, and between the three of us, we had the Churro French Toast, the Lemon Ricotta French Toast, and the Brussels sprouts. All were fantastic. The toast itself was all cooked to perfection, the sweetness was strong but never saccharine, and the sprouts were a perfect balancer-- if I had any unmet desires, it would've been for more sprouts, but as an appetizer that I think is only meant for one person, the portion is still very reasonable. (Also, Brussels sprouts are easy to mess up and hard to do really well, and they've NAILED it here.) It's also my first time coming back to this spot since being old enough to drink, so I had to try a cocktail. I wish I'd remembered to take photos of anything else, but at least I got one of my drink, because I was mesmerized by the purple color and the kooky glass. I had a Lavender Lemon Drop Martini, which was delightful. Super tasty, with just the right amount of alcohol to taste without overpowering the drink, and to feel without messing you up for the rest of your day-- at least, since I only had the one. My friend had a Bloody Mary and found it pretty strong, but thoroughly enjoyed it, and even ate all of the vegetables in it. This was odd behavior, but to each their own. Anyway, the drinks are good. I've loved this place for many years, and I'm so glad it's stuck around all this time. While I don't get out too much anymore-- times are tough for us all, and going out isn't free--, I'm glad to have gotten to come here as one of my rare opportunities to hit a restaurant, and I hope to return sooner than later. read more

The overall look of the place was very instagram-able, so you can definitely take some pictures, if that's your thing, and they have some wonderful dessert for breakfast options if you want a ton of sugar and carbs. My boyfriend got The Bourdain breakfast sandwich, which was REALLY good. I got a crab scramble thing that was pretty flavorless and unimpressive. I think there were only two bites that had crab in the whole dish and they were hidden in everything else, so it wasn't good. My best friend got one of the French toasts with ice cream and berries, and she really liked that. Their alcoholic beverage menu was pretty limited, and not very imaginative. Overall, for the price, I know there are a lot of places that I enjoy a lot more. Service was acceptable, but nothing special as well. Met some friends for brunch at 26 Beach Cafe yesterday and enjoyed a lovely meal. I had the Crab Royal, which was excellent. My friends had the Smoked Salmon Royal and the Rajun Cajun Pasta Scramble, which they both loved. Our well-behaved dogs were welcome in the patio area. The service was attentive and the vibe is casual and relaxed. I had been to this place several times before the pandemic and loved it, but kind of forgot about it after things opened back up. If you want a quiet evening at a cutesy restaurant with good food, go to 26 Beach for dinner on a Monday night. It has pintings of pink poodles, large umbrellas in the outdoor areas, hanging crystals, and an overall girlie vibe. I've heard it's busy for weekend brunch, but it was incredibly slow on Monday. Our server Crystal was very nice and helpful in terms of dietary restrictions. I went with the Date Burger ($19.50) from the Black Sheep section because of the goat cheese - kind of funny that goat cheese is under the black sheep section? I got it over lettuce because I'm gluten free. In addition to the 4oz beef patty, it has dates, bacon, almond-encrusted goat cheese, honey, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Between the dates and honey, this burger is already on the sweeter side, and then the salad dressing was also on the sweeter side - sesame vinaigrette.
