    Hong Kong Noodles! Sooo good!

This place is incredible! They can get busy but I see why, thier food is excellent! We had the egg roll, Hong Kong Noodles, and Mushroom dumplings. All excellent. They make thier own Chinese mustard. Hottest I have ever tried. Will be back for more!

The absolute best food ever with a kitchen I would die for. Sounds a little off, but trust me on this... these green beans were absolutely ridiculous. I have been all over the world and know "green bean" in 3 languages. I'm telling you not to sit next to your momma, cause you're gonna slap her after you eat one of those beans.

    Shrimp Toast. Excellent!

It's a petite venue with a few places to sit inside and a couple tables outside. It wasn't an problem being seated. The menu is a short list of dishes but it's no problem finding enough to order. The green beans were perfectly blistered with a nice smoky flavor and crumbled pork. The garlic and chive dumplings were nicely flavored with ample portions of a fairly fence pork meat filling. The shrimp toast was extraordinary, succulent with a crunchy sesame layer on one side.

Love the quickness here! You can be in and out, take it next door(Holy Ghost), to-go. Love the options! The food is also really good! The chicken is actually spicy which I can appreciate! The dumplings are also a must but sell out. So go early! The Dan Dan noodles are also delicious!! Great spot!!

Super friendly service + incredibly flavorful and well seasoned food. Definitely recommend the smoky green beans. Would come back for this dish alone. Dan Dan noodles were heavy on flavor with good chew. More smoky and spiced than what I'd normally find for this dish. Not bad, just an unexpected take. Try it out and see for yourself.

After reading the great reviews, I'd wanted to get over there, and I'm glad I finally did. The ribs were perfect, the pulled pork was as good as I've ever had. When the brisket is solid but the least exciting bite, you've got a great platter. The mac and cheese side is excellent. I loved the slaw, though I'd skip it next time due to more onion than I'm cool with. Sauces are okay, but would love a spicy option. Honestly, none of the meat begged for extra sauce, I just love sauce. Seating was limited and the place is pretty small, so probably hit and miss during peak hours. Loved the food. Will return.

I personally liked the original bbq and tamarind one. The two meat tray comes with two sides, and we tried the 1.) sweet potatoes and collard greens and 2.) the spicy baked mac and cheese. Note that the sweet potato dish is different from your classic Southern sweet potato side -- it is more mild, less 'candied.' Not bad, just different if you're expecting more classic flavours. The mac and cheese was so good. The cashier was very kind. A handful of large tables outside. A few inside and some high top chairs/tables. Note that their restroom is located outside (port a potty) but it was clean.

IMO. This BBQ is Kansas City style, so the sauce is a bit sweeter. We got the brisket, the chicken wings, and sides. We couldn't decide if on the sauce for the wings, so we got all 3 on the side. The Alabama white sauce was A+ The brisket was perfectly tender. It had great flavor and marbling. The wings are full wings with the drummette attached. That's the way to do it! They are smoked and then fried. They got the crisp just right. Let's talk about sides! We got the collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. They were all FANTASTIC! The coleslaw is a vinegar coleslaw, which I love. It wasn't the sweet mayonnaise style that most people don't enjoy. It was so good! The collard greens were perfectly flavored and tender! I couldn't have done better myself. The beans were sweet but also savory. Not super sweet, which makes me happy. Very well balanced. The server was super friendly and nice. She explained everything to us and made sure we were happy. They have a bar with various beers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual but perfect for BBQ. Why are they serving food on a plastic tray with a piece of waxed paper? Why am I paying $70 for two people to eat lunch, and they can't even give us plates? Also- I know that rolls of non-absorbent paper on the table is quaint, but it's tacky and wastes more paper than an actual NAPKIN- the kind offered to adults at dine-in restaurants. Pictured is a "half pound of brisket" for $23.00 and 60%-70% of it is just inedible fat! What was edible (3.4 ounces), was honestly disgusting and looks nothing like the photos they show online, as you can see for yourself. $11.00 for a cup of sour smelling banana pudding that was immediately tossed in the trash. $4.00 for a "chicken breast" that was literally 2 bites... This is the second and last time we will ever order from them again. I have never been more disappointed in an order of food in my entire life. We spent over $70 for the brisket as shown, a small salad with 2 bites of chicken, soggy coleslaw and sour banana pudding. Beyond unacceptable! Never again and truly hope this saves someone else from the disappointment that Reverend's BBQ truly is. Complete waste of money! Edit: It has been about 45 minutes since I ate what little of the brisket that was actually meat and not just fat, and I am extremely nauseous. Not worth the money, disappointment or naseau. Just looking at the photo alone, I wonder why I even tried eating it. Absolutely disgusting.

I will say that as an observational person, I noticed a lot of female employees washing their hands, but very few male employees washing their hands. I was glad to have a female server. She followed up often with drinks, which was fantastic. Food: We got the Kingston Fix slushy tiki drinks and those were good. Nice and refreshing for the hot day. Sweet and sour fried chicken - the small was plenty for us, since we had been snacking all day. They were lightly breaded, very crispy, and not heavily drenched in sauce, but still very flavorful. White curry with brisket burnt ends - light curry taste and the pieces of brisket made this dish so robust. The brisket was a bit crunchy at the tips, but it fell apart in your mouth and wasn't chewy or tough. Overall wonderful experience. My dudes - please wash your hands. (We were there ~45 minutes and one dude with glasses washed his hands twice. I didn't see any other dude wash, but maybe there's another sink elsewhere.)
